The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Imphal has a 50% minimum cutoff point for undergraduate Diploma. NIELIT Imphal offers long-term degree and Diploma programmes at UG as well as PG level. The duration of these programmes ranges from one year to four years. Candidates need to complete Class 12 to apply for BCA, O Level, and other courses. National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology Imphal has a specified a minimum aggregate for 50% for most of the courses. Hence, aspirants with 60% in Class 12 can apply for the course of their choice. The mode of application is online. However, candidates can also collect the form from the centre. 

The latest cutoff information for admission to M.Sc at NIELIT Imphal requires candidates to have qualified with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in any of the following degrees from a recognised university:

1.  Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with Mathematics/ Computer Science/Statistics as one of the subjects.
2.  Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA).

Additionally, candidates must pass the admission test covering Mathematics at the XII standard and general aptitude at the graduate level.

NIELIT Imphal offers undergraduate, diploma, certificate, and several other courses to students. These courses are provided across the Computer Application and various other streams. The formal courses provided by the college are Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering (DECE), Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering (DCSE),  BCA, PGDCA,  and MCA. The non-formal long-term courses offered by the college are O Level IT, MAT O-Level, and CHM O Level. There are various other courses offered by the college.
