The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Imphal has a 50% minimum cutoff point for undergraduate Diploma. Candidates who have completed their degree examination with at least 50% of the possible points are eligible to apply for NIELIT Imphal's UG Diploma courses. The Institute does not administer significant entrance exams for admission to its UG Diploma programmes; instead, admissions are made primarily based on merit and the results of previous degree or school board exams.

NIELIT Imphal admission is open throughout the year for enrolment of short-term courses. The selection for long term courses is based on NIELIT Entrance Exam. The NIELIT 2024 theory exam for O/A/B/C levels is scheduled to be conducted on Aug 3, 2024, to Aug 7, 2024. The results for the July cycle is expected to be out in October.

Aspirants are offered admission to NIELIT Imphal O level course based on their score in NIELIT Entrance Exam. It is an online test conducted twice in a year. Selected aspirants need to report with all the specified documents and pay a course fee to confirm their admission in the institute.

NIELIT Imphal offers undergraduate, diploma, certificate, and several other courses to students. These courses are provided across the Computer Application and various other streams. The formal courses provided by the college are Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering (DECE), Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering (DCSE),  BCA, PGDCA,  and MCA. The non-formal long-term courses offered by the college are O Level IT, MAT O-Level, and CHM O Level. There are various other courses offered by the college.

NIELIT Imphal offers long-term degree and Diploma programmes at UG as well as PG level. The duration of these programmes ranges from one year to four years. Besides, the institute also offers short-term and non-formal courses. The institute also offers short-term digital literacy programmes to educate people about basic computer and internet usage.

The total tuition fee for National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology Imphal O Level course ranges between INR 27,200 and INR 31,400. This information is sourced from official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change. Aspirants need to pay the course fee after selection to confirm their seat in the institute. Besides, candidates also need to pay an application fee of INR 500 in the start to register for the course.

Nonetheless, the Indian government recognises both institutes, which are a part of the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT). Aspirants need to pass a minimum of Class 12 or ITI Certificate after Class 10 to apply for NIELIT Imphal O level course. Candidates must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission. Besides, aspirants also need to qualify NIELIT Entrance Exam to become eligible for admission.
