NDMVPS's College of Physiotherapy BPT Courses and Fees 2026

NDMVPS's College of Physiotherapy B.P.Th Curriculum is structured over four academic years, followed by a six-month internship. The course focuses on building strong theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Here is an overview of the programme-

I B.P.Th.

Focuses on how the healthy human body is built and how it functions.

• Human Anatomy & Physiology: Learning about bones, muscles, and body systems.
• Biochemistry: The chemical processes within the body.
• Fundamentals: Basics of body movement (Kinesiology) and the use of electrical treatments (Electrotherapy).

II B.P.Th.

Focuses on what happens when the body gets sick and the basics of treatment.

• Medical Sciences: Pathology (diseases), Microbiology (germs), and Pharmacology (medicines).
• Mental Health: Psychology and Psychiatry.
• Practical Lab Work: Practising movement exercises and therapy techniques in a controlled lab setting.

III B.P.Th.

Students begin learning about specific medical fields and how to diagnose patients.

• Specialised Medicine: Orthopaedics (bones), Neurology (nerves), Paediatrics (children), and General Medicine.
• Evaluation: Learning how to assess movement disorders and diagnose physical issues.

IV B.P.Th.

Students learn to treat complex conditions and prepare for professional practice.

• Specialised Therapy: Treating heart, lung, nerve, and bone conditions.
• Professional Skills: Research methods, Ethics, and how to manage a clinic (Administration).
• Bioengineering: Learning about artificial limbs and assistive devices.

Final Phase: 6-Month Internship

After completing all 4 years of B.P.Th course at NDMVPS's College of Physiotherapy, students will have to take up a 6-month (26 weeks) of continuous clinical practice. It is a full-time, supervised work in a hospital. This hands-on experience ensures students are confident and ready to treat real patients independently

NDMVPS's College of Physiotherapy has a total annual intake of 40 seats for the B.P.Th course. These seats are divided into two main quotas as follows-

• 85% State Quota: State quota includes 34 seats. These seats are reserved for candidates with a Maharashtra domicile. This includes various reservation categories such as SC, ST, VJ/DT, NT, OBC, EWS, and Open.
• 15% Institutional/NRI Quota: Includes 6 seats, and is reserved for candidates applying through the Institutional Quota, which often includes NRI (Non-Resident Indian) or "Against NRI" vacant seats.

NDMVPS's College of Physiotherapy provides campus placement opportunities for final-year students of B.P.Th. Several organizations have conducted recruitment drives on campus. Recent placements include companies and healthcare centres such as Qi Spine, HDFC Life Mumbai, New Horizon, Child Rehabilitation Centre, and HCG Manavata Cancer Hospital.

In some drives, multiple students appeared for interviews and several were selected. For example, at the Child Rehabilitation Centre, 17 students attended interviews and 10 were selected. Physiotherapy graduates can work in hospitals, rehabilitation centres, sports clinics, fitness centres, and community health settings. Some students also pursue higher education like MPT for specialization.
