The pride of Bihars technical education.
Placements: I have completed my Diploma in Automobile Engineering from this college and enjoyed it a lot during my whole 3 years of pursuing it. Regarding placements, a lot of pool placement drives are organized, and also a lot of students got placed in different companies like Tata Motors, SKH, Maruti Suzuki, L&T, Banco, GE Aerospace, and GO Digit Insurance. The highest and the lowest packages offered to students are 2.16 LPA by Banco and SKH and 5.75 LPA by Maruti Suzuki. An internship is compulsory in my 5th semester to do if you going to appear for exams.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good, including playgrounds for badminton and volleyball 2 courts each, a beautiful garden and a fountain. As I entered this college, my phone automatically connected to the college's Wi-Fi network, NGP Wi-Fi. Each classroom is so large that it can accommodate 150 students at once, but no branch has this many seats available. Each classroom had smartboards, and some has air conditioning. The library is also available, where you can borrow some books or study without any distractions or disturbance.
Faculty: No doubt for teachers, almost all are at least PhD qualified, and they helped a lot in preparation for exams. All doubts were cleared if you go to their office too. Not ready for industry as each company offer different roles and also they offer their own training. Semester exams weren't hard. Neither exams nor invigilators were strict or hard to score higher marks. I have a CGPA of 8.11 73.4 percent.
Other: I passed out from there in mid-2025, and I will never forget the memories I made, especially with my friends. I pursued Automobile Engineering at Marine College, and I never felt that I have chosen an outdated branch or a field with no scope. I do not think any major improvements are needed, as everything is good. The college is surrounded by TRTC (Tool Room & Training Center) and Sai Mandir, with a large open area on both the left and right sides. In front of the college is P&M Mall Road, and at the back is Atal Path.

Decent choice for automobile engineering with affordable fees, but placements could be better.
Placements: I am from the Automobile Engineering, Batch 2024- 27. Being a government Polytechnic, placements are average and mostly depend on students' skills. About 30- 35% students from the automobile branch secure jobs through campus drives. The highest package goes up to 4-5 LPA, while the average is 2.5-3 LPA, and the lowest is 1.8-2 LPA. Companies like Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Hero, Maruti Suzuki, and some small auto industries visit occasionally. Around 20- 25% students get internships in workshops, service centers, or industries. Common roles offered include junior engineer, service engineer, and technician positions.
Infrastructure: For automobile engineering, the labs and workshops are fairly well-equipped with engines, transmission systems, and basic automotive models, though some machines are outdated. Classrooms are neat, spacious, and good for learning, but smart facilities are limited. The library has enough technical books, but more updated references would help. Hostel facilities are average, but livable. Rooms are fine, food in the mess is okay (sometimes repetitive), and water/electricity supply is manageable. Medical facilities are basic, but available. Sports and extracurricular activities are limited, though the campus has some open space for games. Wi-Fi is limited mostly to computer labs.
Faculty: Most faculty members in the automobile branch are qualified and helpful, especially in practical learning. The teaching style is traditional but effective, and teachers are approachable outside class. The curriculum is decided by SBTE, Bihar, and it covers the fundamentals of automotive systems, workshop practice, and mechanical engineering basics. It does provide an industry-relevant base, but more focus on modern automotive technology (like EVs, hybrid systems) would make it stronger. Semester exams are moderately difficult, but with regular study, most students pass. The pass percentage is around 75- 80%.
Other: I chose Automobile Engineering because of my interest in vehicles and mechanics. The best part of this course is the practical exposure through workshops and labs along with affordable fees. However, placements can be improved, and the inclusion of modern automotive technologies like EVs, BS6 engines, and computer-aided design in the curriculum would make it more future-ready.

It is a good value for money college.
Placements: Almost 80% of students get placements in my branch. I also got placed in 2 companies, one is Digit Insurance and the other is Maruti Suzuki India Limited. Maruti Suzuki offered the highest package of 4.75 LPA. The average package offered in my college is 2.5 LPA. The top role offered is a junior engineer trainee.
Infrastructure: Facilities are not good. Wi-Fi does not work properly. Labs, classrooms, and the library conditions are okay, but not very good. The hostel food is very bad. I do not suggest students stay in the hostel but rather find some PG nearby. Medical facilities are nonexistent. For sports and games, the college does not provide any equipment, and it has only infrastructure and ground.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and helpful. Their teaching quality is moderate. The course curriculum is a bit outdated, and it needs some improvements. It makes students industry-ready, but we need to work a little hard. Semester exams are pretty difficult, and the quality of questions is good. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: This course is good for students who do not have a lot of money to study, so I chose it. It gets a lot of things that are value for money.

Best college for practical learning and jobs.
Placements: One of the strongest aspects of this college is its placement support. This year, many reputed companies visited our campus for recruitment, including industry giants like Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, GE Aerospace, and Go Digit. It is a proud moment for our branch as around 20 students are selected by these well-known companies, which clearly reflects the quality of education and training provided by the college. The placement cell is active and ensures students are groomed through mock interviews, aptitude training, and resume-building sessions.
Infrastructure: College provides good infrastructure with well-equipped labs, smart classrooms, Wi-Fi, and a rich library. Hostel facilities are decent with clean rooms, 24X7 water supply, and security. The food quality in the mess is average but hygienic. Medical facilities and sports grounds are also available for students.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified, supportive, and explain concepts clearly. The curriculum is updated as per industry needs and includes both theory and practical learning. Exams are conducted on time and fairly. Overall, the course helps in building strong fundamentals for future careers.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in technical skills and practical learning. Labs and teaching support are excellent. College fests, tech events, and extracurricular activities add fun to the academic life. Connectivity to the campus is good, and the crowd is friendly. I feel that more industrial training and live projects can further improve the course.

N. G. P Patna 13, patliputra.
Placements: Their is average 40 to 45 percent placement. The highest package is 70000 and the lowest is 36000. Their is no intern ship from companies. Top roles are for assistant job in automobile. You can easily complete your degree here because this is government college.
Infrastructure: Candidates must have an earned doctoral degree in the appropriate area and must have excellent academic record and a demonstrated potential for excellence in research. In addition, as per Government of India norms they must have a first class or equivalent (in terms of Grades etc. ) Mess food is average like some of the other good colleges, but certainly better than most of your Tier 2/Tier 3 colleges.
Faculty: The courses are designed to help final year engineering students and graduates with programming skills to make them work ready. These courses will also make them industry- and job-ready The course curriculum is relevant, and it helped a lot. Exams are difficult, but if you are studying regularly, you can qualify and get good marks.
Other: With plenty of job opportunities available in diverse profiles, an automobile engineer gets the best salary in the industry as it involves mechanical, electrical and safety engineering. Starting at INR 20,000 to INR 25,000, an experienced automotive engineer can get up to 1 Lacs per month. Fest and event like dandiya, sports programme and music are held.

Good infrastructure and campus life, but academics and placements need improvement.
Placements: I am from the batch of 2024, B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. 65 to 70% of students get placed through campus drives in our course. The highest package offered is around 12 LPA. The lowest package is about 3 LPA. The average package stands near 4.5 to 5 LPA. The top companies include TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Tata Motors, and L&T. About 40% of students secure internships in reputed companies such as Tata, Hero, and Mahindra. Some students also work on projects through industry tie-ups. The top roles include Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET), Design Engineer, and Production Engineer.
Infrastructure: Our department has well-equipped labs. Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms are available. There is a central library with updated books and journals. Smart class facilities are also provided. Hostel facilities are decent. The hostel has good Wi-Fi connectivity. The mess food is average. It can be improved. The campus has medical facilities. Sports grounds are available. There are indoor games as well. These facilities provide a balanced academic and extracurricular environment. The canteen offers affordable food options. The overall infrastructure is supportive of both learning and personal growth.
Faculty: Teachers in our department are helpful. They are well qualified and knowledgeable. They guide students in academics and project work. The teaching quality is good. There is a strong focus on practical understanding. The curriculum is relevant. It is aligned with industry requirements. However, more hands-on training could improve it further. Semester exams are moderately difficult. They are fair in nature. The exams test both concepts and applications. The pass percentage is around 85 to 90%. Most students clear the exams with consistent preparation.
