Placements: New Government Polytechnic College is one of the best colleges in Bihar. Many students get placed every year in companies like Tata, Blue Star, etc. The highest package of the college is around 4.5 LPA. The average package of the college is around 3 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. There are 4 hostels in the college. Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and the library are fully air-conditioned. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is of the best quality. Medical facilities are available in the college. Sports and many games are played every year.

Faculty: The faculty of the college is very well qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality of the faculty is good. The curriculum is relevant. The semester exams of the college are not very hard. 28 out of 70 is the passing criteria in the semester exams.

Affordable CSE diploma with good faculty, but placements need improvement.

Placements: I am from the 2024-27 batch of Computer Science & Engineering. Since the college is relatively new, placements in CSE are still developing. Roughly 25-30% of CSE students get placed, with packages ranging between 2 LPA and 4.5 LPA. The average package is around 3 LPA. Top recruiters are usually local IT firms, small startups, and training-based companies. Direct core IT roles like software development are limited, but opportunities in technical support, web development, and IT services are common. Internships are mostly self-arranged, though some students manage to get short-term projects with startups in Patna.

Infrastructure: The CSE department has a dedicated computer lab with decent systems and internet access. However, the software and hardware are not always the latest. Classrooms are spacious, and the library has good reference books for programming and theory, though advanced resources are limited. Hostel facilities are basic but manageable. Clean rooms, mess food is average, and water/electricity facilities are functional. Wi-Fi is available in labs, but not across the entire hostel or campus. Sports and recreational facilities are minimal, so students often focus more on academics or personal projects.

Faculty: Faculty members in the CSE branch are knowledgeable and approachable, though teaching quality depends on the individual teacher. They cover the basics of C programming, data structures, DBMS, networking, and web technologies as per the SBTE Bihar curriculum. The syllabus is good for building a foundation, but it is not fully updated with the latest industry tools (like cloud computing, AI, or ML). Semester exams are of moderate difficulty, and most students pass if they prepare sincerely. Pass percentage in CSE is generally around 75-80%.

Other: I chose CSE because of the growing demand in IT and software. The best thing about this course is the exposure to programming and technology at an affordable cost. However, I wish the lab facilities and placement opportunities for CSE students improve in the coming years. Students should focus on self-learning (coding, projects, internships, online) to increase their chances in IT companies.

Exam is good. Environment is also good.

Placements: Placement is very good here. Many companies came here to hire students from different different branches. Mostly civil and mechanical gets very good placement here. Our college's placement ratio is higher than any other government polytechnic college in Bihar.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very beautiful here. We have very beautiful garden and fountain is also here and which enhances the beauty of our college campus. Canteen is now also available in our college from where we get food items in very affordable prices. staffs are very friendly and helpful in nature here.

Faculty: Semester exams are not that much easy or tough. We can say that it's level is average like we can it is in moderate . The course curriculum is relevant.it makes the students industry ready. Mostly 60 to 70 percent students pass those semester exams . Teachers are very helpful and the quality of teaching is also good.

Where learning meets industry readiness.

Placements: Only 2 students are placed from New Government Polytechnic Patna in computer science and engineering in my session 2022-25. Mostly start-up companies come to my branch CSE. You can get internships from the college because park is located near the college.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure of New Government Polytechnic Anik, Patna are good. Every class has a smart classroom and full Wi-Fi. It has many labs. There is a good exposure of library, and also every two years competitions are held.

Faculty: Faculty members of NGP are qualified and selected by BPSC exam. There are 1 to 10 teachers. Some of them are very well knowledge about their subjects. They are very friendly but within limits. Normally curriculum in every semester includes only 5 subjects, and rest of them are lab and teamwork.

Other: There are seven courses like computer, science and engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, automobile engineering, and civil engineering. Every year, two or three fests are organised by the students. Some of these are freshers party, farewell party, and Saurya Utsav, which is a sports event.

Applicants who have appeared in the secondary examination or equivalent examination of the year 2024 are also eligible for the Polytechnic Engineering course, but on the basis of this examination, it is necessary to pass it by the date of commencement of the first counselling. Note:Other conditions of AICTE may be applicable as specified by the Department of Science, Technology and Technical Education, Bihar. There is no maximum or minimum age limit. Medical examination will be done of selected candidate for admission. The Candidate will be given admission only if found eligible in the medical examination and Separate fee will be payable for health test. Candidate who are citizens of India and fall under at least one of the following residential categories are eligible for admission: (i) Whose parents/husband/wife are permanent/native residents of Bihar. (ii) Whose parents/husband/wife are refugees registered in Bihar. (iii) Whose mother/father/husband/wife are employees of Bihar Government. (iv) Whose parents/spouse are employees of Government of India posted in Bihar or employees of Government of India undertakings/institutions posted in Bihar.
