The pride of Bihars technical education.
Placements: I have completed my Diploma in Automobile Engineering from this college and enjoyed it a lot during my whole 3 years of pursuing it. Regarding placements, a lot of pool placement drives are organized, and also a lot of students got placed in different companies like Tata Motors, SKH, Maruti Suzuki, L&T, Banco, GE Aerospace, and GO Digit Insurance. The highest and the lowest packages offered to students are 2.16 LPA by Banco and SKH and 5.75 LPA by Maruti Suzuki. An internship is compulsory in my 5th semester to do if you going to appear for exams.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good, including playgrounds for badminton and volleyball 2 courts each, a beautiful garden and a fountain. As I entered this college, my phone automatically connected to the college's Wi-Fi network, NGP Wi-Fi. Each classroom is so large that it can accommodate 150 students at once, but no branch has this many seats available. Each classroom had smartboards, and some has air conditioning. The library is also available, where you can borrow some books or study without any distractions or disturbance.
Faculty: No doubt for teachers, almost all are at least PhD qualified, and they helped a lot in preparation for exams. All doubts were cleared if you go to their office too. Not ready for industry as each company offer different roles and also they offer their own training. Semester exams weren't hard. Neither exams nor invigilators were strict or hard to score higher marks. I have a CGPA of 8.11 73.4 percent.
Other: I passed out from there in mid-2025, and I will never forget the memories I made, especially with my friends. I pursued Automobile Engineering at Marine College, and I never felt that I have chosen an outdated branch or a field with no scope. I do not think any major improvements are needed, as everything is good. The college is surrounded by TRTC (Tool Room & Training Center) and Sai Mandir, with a large open area on both the left and right sides. In front of the college is P&M Mall Road, and at the back is Atal Path.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of poor placement, poor lab support, and poor practical knowledge.
Placements: In NGP Patna-13, there are zero placements in computer science and engineering domains due to the negligible number of companies visiting here. Since covid students have started to pursue higher studies like B.Tech. In my previous batch, about 2-3 seniors got paid internships when they just worked for about 6 months duration just to get exposure to industry after that company hired them as interns from selective group. In the past, companies such as Infosys visited. But in the current year, there are no such companies visiting to hire students.
Infrastructure: There are physics, electronics, and computer labs in this college with full Wi-Fi support. But the internet speed is not so good most of the time. The condition of classroom is also not good. Even class fans are too old such that it does not work well, and classes are mostly dirty not clean daily in the previous year. We get the facilities of library for studying, before that only book issue was done. The food in the hostel is very poor. There are no medical facilities. Sports facilities are good, which lasts for about 4 months.
Faculty: Some faculty members are good. Most of them do not care even though they are pursuing Ph.D. But they do not have atleast 50% knowledge of syllabus. The course is mainly theoretical-based, and it does not make students industry-ready. Semester exams are not too hard, if any student starts studying before 2 weeks. They can easily score good marks just by viewing previous year's questions. But, the marking done by teachers is poor because they do not have any prior knowledge of syllabus. They are in the teaching field, which leads to poor copy checking.
Other: I chose this course because I think that I get practical knowledge in computer science field. But there is mostly theoretical knowledge, and teachers do not provide practical knowledge. They themselves do not have much knowledge about those topics. There is scholarship for students from state government scheme such as PMS scholarship, etc.

The best placement rate for this college was in 2025.
Placements: The college's placements are best in the Mechanical and Automobile departments, followed by Electronics, then Electrical, Civil, and lastly, Computer Science. The Computer Science department has a zero placement rate. The highest package is in the Automobile department, amounting to Rs. 4.75 LPA. For the 2025 batch, the Automobile department had a 100% placement rate. Top recruiting companies are Tata, GE Aerospace, Maruti Suzuki, Wipro, Banco, and Webtec. Students have to find internships on their own.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is better than other colleges. However, only the hostel's infrastructure is good, with no other facilities available. The food is so bad that anyone can get sick after eating it, as hygiene is not taken care of at all. There are also some students in the hostel who smoke. There is no drinking water available 24/7, and the bathrooms have not been cleaned for many months. If you complain to the teachers, they do not listen. Ragging also occurs in the hostels, so it is better to choose a hostel or PG outside.
Faculty: Some teachers are very good and helpful. Classes for third-year students are very limited. The course curriculum is very easy but cannot make students industry-ready as it has many shortcomings. The semester exam is very easy, and questions from previous years are asked every time. The teachers who check the copies do not care, copy checking is done in a very wrong way. For a 4-mark question, you must fill 1.5 pages to get 2 or 3 marks. The passing marks are 28.
Other: If you want a job after your Diploma, then only choose this course. If you want to pursue B.Tech, do not take admission in this college even by mistake. This college could do well if the faculty members started taking classes regularly. Campus life is absolutely zero, in the name of events, they only organize seminars. There is only one sports event per year.

This is the best college for doing a Diploma in Civil from Bihar.
Placements: My name is Nirnay Kumar Chaurasiya, and I am a student of civil engineering at New Government Polytechnic Patna 13. Here, a lot of placement companies came, like Wipro, Kalpataru Projects, Blue Star, L&T and many more. Even though I got placed in Wipro, I decided to go on with further studies.
Infrastructure: New Government Polytechnic Patna 13 college made in 1956, is a very old college and the No. 1 Polytechnic college in Bihar, and I am proud to be a student of New Government Polytechnic Patna. Here are lots of facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, libraries, kyp, centres of excellence, playground, etc.
Faculty: Here are lots of qualified faculty who pass the BPSC exam, and all are PhD professionals in their field. My exam is based on a semester-wise, and a total of 6 semesters have happened. We study very hard to pass the examination. The examination is not very tough, but you have to achieve maximum marks to receive the award for good students.
Other: My batch is the best, we do all the activities that happen in our college, as well as studying to improve our marks and for placement.

This is the best college if you want to do Diploma.
Placements: My college has above 90% placement ratio and this is the same for all the years. The highest package of my college is 3.5 LPA and the lowest package is below 2 LPA. The companies that came for placement are Wipro, Tata, etc. Many students got internships from my college. Get the JE position in different companies.
Infrastructure: For every department in my college, different facilities are available, also the lab instructor for the purpose of lab and internship programme. The hostel of my college is also good. The food of our college is also good. The medical facility is also available in my hostel. In the hostel campus, sports facility is available.
Faculty: The faculty of my college is very helpful and they always support us and solve our problems and queries. The faculty of our college is very educated also. The syllabus of our college is useful to get a job and go to the industry. The semester of our college is not much difficult and passing marks is above 7 CGPA.
Other: I chose this course because it has a great future and I also think it is good in the future also. All the things about the course are good. The campus is very nice.

I am satisfied with the college, but not with the faculty.
Placements: A very small number of students get placed every year, only 10-15 students from some specific branches. Companies like Infosys and Bluestar come for placements. The package rate differs between 10,000 to 25,000. Mostly, students who get a package will not get that job.
Infrastructure: The college campus is too small to be called a college, perhaps the hostel is big enough. The college and hostel are not in the same place, and you have to cross a road to go between them. The whole campus is covered with Wi-Fi, but sometimes it doesn't work.
Faculty: Faculty members are educated and have high degrees, but they don't know how to interact with students and don't seem to teach correctly. Most teachers are working in the private sector, even though it is a government college. Semester exams are easy to crack if you study a little.
Other: There are no problems with events, there is an event every month. As part of extracurricular activities, you can play games everywhere in the college.
