Considering the last three years of NIT Kurukshetra's JEE Main cutoff, CSE remains the most popular branch, boasting the most competitive cutoff rank for admission. Examining the Round 1 cutoff ranks for 2025, 2024, and 2023, we observe an inconsistency in the closing ranks for BTech specialisations, including CSE, IT, Electrical Engineering, and AI & Machine Learning, among others, which display a fluctuating trend for students in the general category. In contrast, other specialisations, such as Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Industrial Internet of Things Engineering, have shown an improving trend, with consistently decreasing cutoff ranks making them competitive for admission. Detailed branch-wise JEE Main Round 1 closing ranks for the past three years are tabulated below to understand the cutoff trends for the General AI quota:CourseR1 Cutoff (2023)R1 Cutoff (2024)R1 Cutoff (2025)B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering138891424310533B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering657456616268B.Tech. in Information Technology846867347618B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering298702731520888B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering203332034714535B.Tech. in Civil Engineering438214096628862B.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning9607116608048B.Tech. in Industrial Internet of Things Engineering198081879315941B.Tech. in Mathematics and Computing Engineering12352123689457B.Tech. in Production and Industrial Engineering– / –4661931527B.Tech. in Robotics and Automation– / –1769811769B.Tech. in Microelectronics and VLSI Engineering– / –1709313775B.Tech. in Sustainable Energy Technologies– / –4041730100B.Arch. in Architecture and Planning– / –1183– / –B.Tech. + M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering– / –66156917B.Tech. + M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering– / –2403115655B.Tech. + M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering– / –1820518772B.Tech. + M.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering– / –120669524
