NIT Meghalaya - National Institute of Technology Shillong Answered Questions

To be considered for admission to the PhD programme at NIT Meghalaya, prospective students are required to fulfill certain eligibility criteria. Students must have minimum 55% in their MA/MSc/BTech/MTech or equivalent degree from a recognised university. Further, students must appear for the entrance exams of GATE or NET.

JEE Main exam dates for BTech programme for admission to NIT Meghalaya is scheduled on Jan 24, which is tentative. As per the exam pattern of JEE Mains, the exam is conducted online as a Computer Based Test. JEE Main 2024 will have three papers, Paper 1 for admission to BE/BTech course, Paper 2A for BArch admission and Paper 2B for BPlan course admission. The duration of the JEE Main exam is three hours and has Multiple Choice (MCQ) and Integer Value (Numerical Value Answer) type questions. NIT Meghalaya BTech programme isn’t ranked internationally. However the BTech programmehas been ranked under National Institutional Ranking Framework, NIRF. NIRF is an approved by the MHRD and was launched by Honourable Minister of Human Resource Development on 29th of September 2015. The NIRF has ranked NIT Meghalaya BTech programme 72 among top engineering colleges in India.

NIT Meghalaya offers BTech programmes with a duration of four years. BTech programme at NIT Meghalaya is offered in provides five specialisations for the BTech programme, which include Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. The eligibility criteria for the BTech specialisations includes tweleve years of shcool education with 75% aggregate. National entrance exams is the source of admission for the BTech programme.

To apply for the BTech programme at NIT Sikkim, candidates must use JEE Main as the application platform. The application process for JEE Main 2024 comprises three stages, which include registration, form filling & document uploading, and payment of the application fee. To apply for M.Tech admission at NIT Meghalaya, prospective candidates are required to follow the application process specified by the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) authorities. This process typically involves visiting the official GATE website and filling out the application form in online mode, as per the instructions provided on the website. Also candidates is required to be eligible for the M.Tech programme i.e. Bachelor's degree with 50% aggregate.

Admission to NIT Meghalaya BTech programme is entirely based on JEE Main exam. Based on the JEE Main exams score candidates are provided admission to BTech programme in NIT Meghalaya. Also candidates have to eligible for the BTech course  with twelve years of school education with PCM/ PBM with minimum of 75 % aggregate and ofcourse a valid score in JEE Main exam.
