Overall, the college is very good.

Placements: The number of students in this college is around 2,000 in which admission is largely based on the entrance marks. There are no placements here. It is a government college. There are no placement facilities, but this college is good.

Infrastructure: There is a very good system in the college. There is a hostel and every hostel has good facilities. The library is also available 24 hours a day. Good books are available in the college library.

Faculty: Professors here are very good. They all are very good. Teachers come from big universities and have a lot of knowledge. There are semester exams, which are very important. We can also answer, and I got very good numbers. Skills are worked upon here.

Other: I chose this course in this college because I want to join CIBIL service and it is a very good college for arts.

Placements: Patna College is situated on the bank of Ganga. Patna College has been the creator and nurturer of what is great in the state of Bihar today. Most of the children here definitely do something good in life. This is the number 1 college of Patna in terms of studies, but there is no placement of students from here. No company shows their interest here, and the main reason for this is the lack of attention of the university administration and the government to this college. But some NGOs are very active in this college, like Medha, who prepares students for placements and also help in placements. This year, some companies like Tata, Wipro, etc., have shown their interest, in which very few students have been selected. Patna College offers only Bachelor of arts. Along with it, Hindi, English, Urdu, and Sanskrit languages are also taught.

Infrastructure: Patna College was built by the Dutch in 1600AD. Its building is very big and beautiful. The classrooms are also big and beautiful. Ganga Ghar is visible from some of the classes here, whose view is quite beautiful. Earlier, Patna College is also known as Oxford of the East. All the subjects of Arts are taught here. The professors are very helpful who explain easily. There is also a large library on campus, in front of which there is a beautiful park. The name of the library is Gyan Mandir. All the books related to the subjects are available here, which you can take home for some days. Wi-Fi facility is available throughout the campus, but sometimes, there is slow internet. The hostels of Patna College are quite beautiful and big, and the rooms are clean. There is good electricity and water facility. Each hostel has its own ground where students play in the evening. All the newspapers go to the hostel every day. Mess facility is not present in the hostels here, but it is expected that this facility will start soon. There is a canteen in the college where tea, samosas, snacks, etc., are available, and one can sit there and have lunch with friends. For college students, there is a hospital in the university, where only the students and staff if the university are treated. The facilities there are excellent, medicines are given free of cost to the children. Patna College has three big grounds where cricket, football, and volleyball are played regularly. Apart from this, a sports week is celebrated every year. There are different types of sports played. Each winner is awarded by the vice-chancellor of Patna University. Apart from this, there are inter-college or university games, in which students go out to play.

Faculty: The teachers are very supportive, which is quite knowledgeable and well qualified. Their way of teaching is very good, which is easily understood by the child. The subjects taught here gave us the knowledge of the social sector to the students. It is considered quite right for the students who want to go to civil services. The examinations are a bit difficult, but if the students work hard, they can easily pass. It is mandatory to score 45% in the honors subject.

Other: Our college has a very good history. It is believed that it motivates the students to join politics and civil services. The first Chief Minister of Bihar has been a student of this college, and there are thousands of such students who have joined civil services. After studying from here, your attitude towards your society changes. Scholarships run by the government are available here. Freshers, farewell, etc., parties are celebrated by the students. You can get the solution to any problem from seniors, without any hesitation.

It is a good college but not best.

Placements: I am a student of the sociology department, Patna College, Patna University. There are around 75 students in the class, and the placement facility provided is not good. Only a few companies offer salary packages in our course.

Infrastructure: Facilities provided are not so good, and the infrastructure is not well maintained, the Wi-Fi speed is slow, and there are fewer books in the library. Hostels are fine, and the canteen is very small. The medical facilities provided are good enough, and the sports section is also good, but have some problems.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, well qualified, and extremely knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good but there are only a few teachers. Examinations are tough, and around 80% of students pass get pass. Students have to study hard.

Other: I opted for this course because sociology is an interesting subject. You can know more about society. Research should be added to the course.

Good but not best but value of monet .

Placements: More than 50% student placed in my course. No offer till we get Only social service people Ngo Social services But this year we feel a form for placement let SEE what will happen but no placement took place in my subject sociology that's it but good in lecture nothing else .

Infrastructure: Very bad Wi-Fi network available but it do not work properly but sometimes its going good but not so good. Classroom is quite good but not best Ya library is available and it is good Hostel is not good the condition of hostel is very bad. Nobody study there.

Faculty: Ya teacher are very helpful. Semester exam is not so tough pass percentage is above 45% in each subject Teachers are so much helpful but student do not want to study because all want to do politics u can say that Patna college is hub of politics.

Other: On an average all the things.

The college is good for academics, but it is not much involved in extracurricular activities.

Placements: About 10% of students were placed in our course. The highest package offered was 3.6 LPA, and the lowest package was 1.2 LPA. Save the Children, World Vision, Care India, etc., are some organisations where the students got placed. 30 to 40% of students got an opportunity to do an internship in the above-mentioned organisations. The top role offered to the students of our course was field supervisor.

Infrastructure: Our college building is a heritage. The main academic block has Dutch architecture, built about 300 years ago. In 90's, it was known as Oxford Of The East. Our college provides Wi-Fi facility with efficient speed. Our department does not have a separate library, but good books are available in the central library.

Faculty: The teachers in our colleges are well qualified. They are always ready to help us. They didn't show any anger at our repeated questions. Students have to study on their own for better results. The course curriculum is relevant. It prepares the students for doing social researches in modern societies as well as tribal societies.

Other: I opted for this course because I wanted to know about the society in detail. I wish if the staff are improved, the results will be great.

Review of Patna College, Patna University.

Placements: Almost 2% of the students from the batch got placements, but this rate is very low compared to colleges of other states and universities. The top company which recently visited here was Wipro. Some of our seniors had gone to Delhi central ministry for internships. Salary packages offered here were very low.

Infrastructure: Our campus is one of the historical places, but it is not perfect for modern teaching. It lacks a lot of basic infrastructural facilities like it doesn't have proper classroom management, etc. There are no proper common rooms. The library is available, but books are very outdated. The canteen facility is the worst.

Faculty: Teachers here are always helpful, but the administration is completely a disaster. There are many departments. The required number of teachers and professors available is very low. Many departments are running on the credibility of the guest teachers.

Other: Our campus environment is very political-oriented and doesn't encourage knowledge.

Not a good college for education.

Placements: There were ninety one students in my class of year 2014. there were no packages in my course. There were no recruiting companies. None of the students got internship in my class. We go no roles to play in my college, just normal activities were organised here and there.

Infrastructure: There were no facilities in my course and department. No proper infrastructure was there for students to study or do extra activity. There was no Wi-Fi. There were no labs. There were no facilities for us in my college which were required by us.

Faculty: The teachers were not helpful, qualified or knowledgeable. The teaching quality was not good. This course curriculum was not relevant. It does not make the students industry ready. The semester exams were very difficult. Only 50% students passed every time.

Other: This course was easy.

The best from the worst.

Placements: Patna college is only for Arts courses. And in Arts course rarely placement companies recruiter students. In Patna college Placement companies do not come. And if there is any then they are gonna offer very low amount of packages. As I have said that rarely placement companies come for recruitment, so now you all can assume the placement condition of the college.

Infrastructure: Patna college got established in 1863 by dutch traders. And after that no Innovation had been one for the betterment of the infrastructure. They Administration don't really take care for that. They paint the buildings only when some event is going to happen.

Faculty: Teachers are really helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable ones. They have the teaching experience. But still there is lack of teachers in every department of the college. Lack of teachers is always a subject of discussion whenever some kind of government survey is done.
