B.A. in English - Batch of 2026
4.2

Good placements in 2024, with great faculty members and diverse campus.
Placements: The B.A. English course offers and introduces students to editorial, graphic design, teaching lines, and others. Top recruiting companies are Tech Mahindra, Jio, Telecom Companies, Sutherland, TCS, and so on. The highest package is 7 LPA. The lowest salary is 1.5 LPA, and the average salary is 2 LPA to 3 LPA. 78% of estimated students got jobs with high payment.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are well-managed and excellent. The classes are modernized, neat, and provided with digital learning. Library is well-maintained. Wi-Fi is provided only for educational purposes, and students are not allowed to misuse it. There is no hostel available at Patrician College. Medical facilities are somehow not well maintained, other than that sports and games are highly entertaining. Students at Patrician College participated at the state and national levels in sports and even won prizes.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and experienced. Each faculty differs in its way of teaching. Some use creative ways and some use the projector and other digital learning. The B.A. English course helps the students to have a broad view of the world, learning the history of English literature to introduction to linguistics. The subject varies and it's useful in their own way. Semester exams are not that difficult, it depends on person to person. The pass percentage is around 70-80%.
Other: I chose B.A. English course because I find it interesting. B.A. course at Patrician College is an excellent one but it can be improved by conducting more seminars and presentation classes. Festivals like Pongal, Onam, and Christmas are celebrated. Events and seminars are conducted helping the students to improve. Inter-college fest and activities are also held for building confidence and creating a bond with others. Scholarships are provided for ST, SC, and OBC with a sum range of Rs 15,000 - Rs 20,000. Activities and clubs, SEED YRC, Red Ribbon Club, NSS, road safety clubs, and others are available.

A memory of the heavenly world.
Placements: Most companies that come for recruitment from the college side are BPOs, and there are fewer companies that hire HR executives. From the college side, students go for internships for experience and personal growth, but the college provides OD to students for that. The main thing is that the recruitment packages are usually around 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: From the college side, Facilities are much better, and the food is quite nice. We have a canteen and cafeteria with food options, including a variety of snacks, junk food, and brownies. We also offer vegetarian meals and all types of South Indian meals. Additionally, we have a sick room for students who feel unwell or fatigued during class.
Faculty: The exam is not the toughest one here. It is almost easy because faculty members provide the question papers before the exam, allowing students to score good marks. The pass percentage is usually above 35%. Moreover, faculty members are very friendly towards students, which helps us score good marks with the race of them 1.
Other: We have lots of cultural webinars, conferences, and other kinds of events in the college. We also have inter-departmental events. As I am from the BBA department, we have a corporate walk, which is the most interesting event, and I love it the most.

A good college in Chennai.

Infrastructure: The college boasts a well-maintained campus with eco-friendly surroundings. Classrooms are equipped with smart boards and projectors to enhance the learning experience. Totally wasteful because of all the things, mainly staff and placements.
Placements: 5–10% of students are placed in placement but all are BPO.
10k–25k per month is the highest salary offered here.
Sutherland, Tech Mahindra, etc., but all companies provide only customer support and executive roles.
Internships here are fake and wasteful; they push the students to do an internship in any company for academic record.
Customer service and customer support executives are the roles offered.
Infrastructure: Here is a lab with Wi-Fi but the systems are not functioning well. The average library is good but other than the canteen, foods are average and of small quantity and are not good to eat in this canteen.
Faculty: Teacher are mostly unresponsive and lack knowledge. It's like a school infrastructure; they didn't train the students. Well, my kind advice is: don't join here.
Exams are an issue in the university. If you do well in the exam, sometimes you'll fail for the evaluation money .
Other: They didn't encourage students to do a big project; they asked to publish the students project in the name of the college but the college didn't support ours; they were selfish for there publicity.

Enjoyable college life experience .
Placements: Since it's a Bachelor of Science degree, the percentage of placements is lower. Around 50 percent of the students were placed in my course. Companies like Accenture are the top recruiters. The top roles offered are development, testing and analyst. Students are also doing internships at various companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. The classrooms are spacious and can hold around 50 students. The library is also large and has a very good collection of books. The hostel has only around 50 to 60 rooms. Sports and games are given more importance in our college.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, well-trained, knowledgeable and friendly with the students. The course curriculum is very relevant to the current trends and evolutions in the industry. There are 3 internals per semester and they are almost easy to get passed.
