My journey with PESCE family.
Placements: As our college is an autonomous college affiliated with VTU. We have many campus placements as there will be more companies coming to our college to pick students for their companies. Our college has a very good placement history in the core and IT sectors too. But they will train us very well to make sure that we get placed in a good company by training us.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is the best. We have good hostel facilities and security system for students. We have Free Wi-Fi supply for students in the hostel. Our labs are well maintained and have well advanced equipment for the purpose of studies and practice. We have a good library facility too. Our library has a very good collection of books.
Faculty: Our college faculty members are very student-friendly. They treat and guide us like their own children. They explain again and again if we do not understand a topic. If we do not get it even after the repeated explanation, they will explain it to us in 1 to 1 interaction in the staffroom. Exams are conducted and verified in our college itself, so the papers will be set by our faculty members themselves, as our college is an autonomous college.
Other: Our college celebrates its fest once every year. We have a bus facility in our college for the sake of transportation of the students.

People are good in my college, but the faculty members are very poor at explaining.
Placements: The placement is very low, and those who get placed get placed at 3.5 to 5 LPA. The best packages go for like 8 to 10 LPA, which is not so good. Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, and TCS are the main companies involved. There is a very low percentage of students who get real internships; most of them get them in their last year, just because. The students who get internships are the ones who get it based on their skills and themselves through the connections they make at events. SDE, UI/UX Developer, and Data Science will be offered when we graduate.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi, labs, and a library, but they are not much use because they are just to clear your syllabus. However, there is a new lab with Mac machines, which are good, and we have done iOS classes there. The food is average for morning and afternoon, but very bad for night. Only 2 chapatis in the afternoon. The canteen is open till 5.
Faculty: Teachers are not effective in my department; they are qualified but can't teach well. Most of them just speak in Kannada and then leave. However, we get notes for everything before exams, and getting a good score in the exam is very easy, so exams are good. The course doesn't make you placement-ready; not all of it.
Other: There are good events, and you can build a good network here; that is for sure.

Life in PES College of Engineering, Mandya.
Placements: As in any college, the number of placements has decreased in our college too, still there are a few who are getting placed in good companies like Capgemini. Many are placed in TCS and many more. Placement department is conducting new programs like Super 100, iOS training, and many more programs to train students for placements.
Infrastructure: Department is good the intake is 60 per year in ISE, and facilities are also good. Wi-Fi facility is provided throughout our campus, little problem with it in the hostel. Library is also good, we can take 3 books from there at a time. Canteen is average. Hostel is not so good for non-native students because most of the dishes are local food itself, and the rooms are average.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful about the curriculum and exams. Some of them have a good knowledge of the topics and beyond the curriculum also they help us in building projects and conduct training for students. Semester exams are a bit difficult because a lot of questions are asked which are objective and correction is done very strictly.
Other: Events like Pesco and Kannada Kalotsava are held. It will be a grand celebration, but unfortunately this year they do not do Pesco for some reason.

It has good placements, supportive faculty, decent infrastructure, and a balanced college experience
Placements: Around 85% of students from our course got successfully placed during campus placements. The highest package offered is 12 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. The average package is 5.5 LPA. Nearly 75% of students secured internships through the college or an external platform. Internship offers came from reputed companies such as Bosch, TVS, L&T, Infosys, and small startups. Top job roles offered in our course include software developer, QA engineer, design engineer, graduate trainee engineer, data analyst, and system associate.
Infrastructure: Our department has well-equipped labs with updated systems and software, spacious classrooms with smart boards, a dedicated Wi-Fi network, and access to a central library with a wide range of academic resources. Hostels are decent with regular cleaning, study space, and basic amenities. The mess food is average, with options improving over time. Canteens provide better alternatives. Sports facilities include courts for basketball, badminton, and a gym. A medical center is also available on campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are experienced, supportive, and well-qualified. Many have industry experience or research backgrounds. The course curriculum is relevant to current industry standards and includes practical projects and lab work. Semester exams are moderately difficult, but with regular study, they are manageable. The pass percentage remains above 85% in most subjects.
Other: I am part of the 2024-28 batch pursuing B.E. in Computer Science (for our specific course). I chose this course due to my interest in technology and its vast scope. The best part is the practical exposure and placement training. However, they could improve with more industry-based electives and updated lab equipment. The campus is peaceful, well-connected by road, and has a green environment. The college also supports scholarships.

The college has good placements and is well-maintained.
Placements: I think it may be 100%. The highest package is 40 LPA, and the lowest is 2 LPA. The top recruiting companies include Infosys, MNCs, etc. Around 70% get placed in internships. The top roles offered are in Robotics, VLSI, and Embedded Systems. Students who get placed in this course have high-paying jobs.
Infrastructure: Facilities in our department are good. The classrooms are well-maintained. Labs are well-established. The hostel is also good, but the food is not as much as I want. The sports facilities are very good. The canteen on campus is well-maintained. We also have medical facilities in our college.
Faculty: Faculty is very helpful and well-qualified. The teaching quality is good. The course is very important for future technologies and students ready for industrial work. The exams are not very difficult, and if we study well, we can get good placements through this college.
Other: I chose this course to get placed in VLSI companies that make semiconductor chips.

I am thankful to our college for allowing us to participate in technical events.
Placements: The top role offered in our college is software development. Recently, the highest package is 21 LPA. The average salary package is about 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Tricon, IBM, Capgemini, Accenture, and Cognizant. Around 80% of students got placed in our college.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is quite old but it is improving now. In washrooms, the cleanliness is bad. The canteen facility is also not good. The hostel facility is worth the money but the food is quite bad in the afternoon time. There are no medical facilities in the college.
Faculty: Professors are well-qualified, but initially, they teach well. When the exams are near, they will go to speed and start to use PPT to finish the syllabus. The academic part is not helpful to become industry-ready as each semester's duration is less. 80% is the pass percentage in each semester.
Other: I chose the course as it offers both software and hardware knowledge. But I am struggling now, so I thought of shifting my interest towards software. Like other colleges, fests and other technical-related activities are conducted every year. I wish they could give more training for industry.
