Life in PES College of Engineering, Mandya.
Placements: As in any college, the number of placements has decreased in our college too, still there are a few who are getting placed in good companies like Capgemini. Many are placed in TCS and many more. Placement department is conducting new programs like Super 100, iOS training, and many more programs to train students for placements.
Infrastructure: Department is good the intake is 60 per year in ISE, and facilities are also good. Wi-Fi facility is provided throughout our campus, little problem with it in the hostel. Library is also good, we can take 3 books from there at a time. Canteen is average. Hostel is not so good for non-native students because most of the dishes are local food itself, and the rooms are average.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful about the curriculum and exams. Some of them have a good knowledge of the topics and beyond the curriculum also they help us in building projects and conduct training for students. Semester exams are a bit difficult because a lot of questions are asked which are objective and correction is done very strictly.
Other: Events like Pesco and Kannada Kalotsava are held. It will be a grand celebration, but unfortunately this year they do not do Pesco for some reason.

It has good placements, supportive faculty, decent infrastructure, and a balanced college experience
Placements: Around 85% of students from our course got successfully placed during campus placements. The highest package offered is 12 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. The average package is 5.5 LPA. Nearly 75% of students secured internships through the college or an external platform. Internship offers came from reputed companies such as Bosch, TVS, L&T, Infosys, and small startups. Top job roles offered in our course include software developer, QA engineer, design engineer, graduate trainee engineer, data analyst, and system associate.
Infrastructure: Our department has well-equipped labs with updated systems and software, spacious classrooms with smart boards, a dedicated Wi-Fi network, and access to a central library with a wide range of academic resources. Hostels are decent with regular cleaning, study space, and basic amenities. The mess food is average, with options improving over time. Canteens provide better alternatives. Sports facilities include courts for basketball, badminton, and a gym. A medical center is also available on campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are experienced, supportive, and well-qualified. Many have industry experience or research backgrounds. The course curriculum is relevant to current industry standards and includes practical projects and lab work. Semester exams are moderately difficult, but with regular study, they are manageable. The pass percentage remains above 85% in most subjects.
Other: I am part of the 2024-28 batch pursuing B.E. in Computer Science (for our specific course). I chose this course due to my interest in technology and its vast scope. The best part is the practical exposure and placement training. However, they could improve with more industry-based electives and updated lab equipment. The campus is peaceful, well-connected by road, and has a green environment. The college also supports scholarships.

Average campus, high hostel fees, outdated curriculum, and poor placements.
Placements: The placement scenario is unfortunately below expectations. The highest package is 6 LPA and the lowest is 1.5 LPA. Around 30% of students get placed.
Infrastructure: Facilities are better than those of other engineering colleges. The overall campus infrastructure is just average. Classrooms and labs are functional but not modern or well-maintained. Wi-Fi is patchy, and library resources are outdated in many departments. Sports and extracurricular facilities are limited. Hostel fees are higher compared to the quality provided. Rooms are basic, and maintenance is slow. Food quality in the mess is consistent, but hygiene can be an issue at times. Many students feel the cost is not justified for the experience provided.
Faculty: Faculty is a mixed bag. Some are helpful, but many just stick to the textbook. There is a lack of real-world exposure in teaching. The curriculum feels outdated, with very little emphasis on practical skills or industry relevance, which directly affects student readiness for jobs.
Other: I chose Civil Engineering because I have always been fascinated by how the world around us is built, roads, bridges, buildings, dams. All the structures we rely on every day. The idea of contributing to something tangible and lasting motivates me. I want to be part of a field where creativity meets functionality and where the work has a direct impact on people’s lives. As a student of this college, I feel it is important to share a balanced and honest perspective for future aspirants. While the campus life, faculty support, and academic resources are decent.

The college has good placements and is well-maintained.
Placements: I think it may be 100%. The highest package is 40 LPA, and the lowest is 2 LPA. The top recruiting companies include Infosys, MNCs, etc. Around 70% get placed in internships. The top roles offered are in Robotics, VLSI, and Embedded Systems. Students who get placed in this course have high-paying jobs.
Infrastructure: Facilities in our department are good. The classrooms are well-maintained. Labs are well-established. The hostel is also good, but the food is not as much as I want. The sports facilities are very good. The canteen on campus is well-maintained. We also have medical facilities in our college.
Faculty: Faculty is very helpful and well-qualified. The teaching quality is good. The course is very important for future technologies and students ready for industrial work. The exams are not very difficult, and if we study well, we can get good placements through this college.
Other: I chose this course to get placed in VLSI companies that make semiconductor chips.

I am thankful to our college for allowing us to participate in technical events.
Placements: The top role offered in our college is software development. Recently, the highest package is 21 LPA. The average salary package is about 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Tricon, IBM, Capgemini, Accenture, and Cognizant. Around 80% of students got placed in our college.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is quite old but it is improving now. In washrooms, the cleanliness is bad. The canteen facility is also not good. The hostel facility is worth the money but the food is quite bad in the afternoon time. There are no medical facilities in the college.
Faculty: Professors are well-qualified, but initially, they teach well. When the exams are near, they will go to speed and start to use PPT to finish the syllabus. The academic part is not helpful to become industry-ready as each semester's duration is less. 80% is the pass percentage in each semester.
Other: I chose the course as it offers both software and hardware knowledge. But I am struggling now, so I thought of shifting my interest towards software. Like other colleges, fests and other technical-related activities are conducted every year. I wish they could give more training for industry.

Campus placements and infrastructure.
Placements: 95 percent were placed in CSE Branch. To my knowledge, the highest was 30lpa, the least was 8lpa, and the average of 10lpa. Mostly tech companies and startups offering a good package like IBM, TruGlobal, and others. Almost everybody gets an internship after the 3rd year in their related fields.
Infrastructure: The hostel is decent as it is a new hostel for 1st years. They stick to the menu and some specified foods are limited. Clean rooms and washrooms, and the warden is pretty chill. The quality of the food is average but not too bad and we get chicken thrice a week.
Faculty: Exams are hard in this college. Being a private institute, they give the hardest paper known to mankind. Teaching is good, and the teachers are friendly while others aren't. Course curriculums are strictly maintained and they only go through that. It's called Calendar of Events.
