Satisfied but still it can be improved a lot.

Placements: The placements are good but the companies offer very low packages and for core area, it is too low. My department currently has the highest placement count for this year but the sad thing is that 80 percent of the jobs are n software sector. The highest salary package is 10L per annum.

Infrastructure: We have good lab facilities but it can be improved. We have a departmental library but it has very few books. The curriculum is somewhat outdated, I wish they included the recent trends and basics. The library of the college is good. We have many textbooks there. Our campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Medical facilities are somewhat poor especially for hostlers because I am also a hosteler and I know how hard it is if anything happens to a student. Our college is good at sports, cultural functions and literary clubs.

Faculty: The faculty was very helpful regarding studies and for competitive exam preparation like GATE. They help us to gain industrial exposure. The faculty members of my department are well-qualified. Most of the professors in my department possess a Ph.D. The curriculum was very useful. We learned a lot but it can be updated when compared to some reputed institutions like IITs.

Other: Student placements in core companies should improve. The curriculum should be updated. Labs should be developed a bit. The hostel facilities and fee should be improved a lot. The hostel fee is expensive. The taste of the food is average. Sports facilities are above average. I would like to have a gym in my college.

Hi, You cannot do B.Tech through distance education because Supreme Court of India has banned distance education in engineering.

Admission is through Centralised Admission Committee- Lateral Entry (CENTAC LE) counselling conducted by Government of Puducherry, based on the marks obtained in Diploma. Candidate must have passed Diploma in Engineering or Technology from a recognized board. Regards.
