When comparing PSIT Kanpur, JSS Noida, LPU, A K Garg, GL Bajaj, and Jaypee for Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), LPU (Lovely Professional University) generally comes out as the better choice for students seeking a strong blend of academics, practical exposure, placements, and overall development. LPU's CSE programme is industry‑aligned and frequently updated to cover emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and software development, giving students relevant skills that employers seek today. The university emphasizes hands‑on learning through advanced labs, real projects, hackathons, workshops, and internships that build both technical depth and practical problem‑solving ability. One of LPU's most significant advantages is its placement ecosystem, which consistently attracts a broad range of top tech companies — from well‑known multinational corporations to promising startups. The dedicated placement cell offers continuous career guidance, training, mock interviews, and personalized support, helping CSE students secure competitive salary packages and high‑value job roles. This nationwide recruiter network provides LPU graduates with more opportunities across India and abroad compared to many other regional colleges. The campus infrastructure at LPU is modern and extensive, featuring well‑equipped computing facilities, collaborative workspaces, research centres, and innovation hubs that encourage creativity and technical exploration. Beyond academics and placements, LPU offers a vibrant campus life with a diverse student community, clubs, cultural events, and industry interactions that contribute to overall personality development. While institutes like PSIT, JSS Noida, A K Garg, GL Bajaj, and Jaypee are respectable regional colleges with solid academic programs, LPU's broader industry exposure, stronger placement support, comprehensive facilities, and practical learning environment make it a more advantageous choice for pursuing CSE and building a successful engineering career.

With just 40 percentile in JEE Main OBC, PSIT Kanpur is kinda out of reach.its OBC closing rank usually lies in the 8–10 lakh range. Even with home state quota, you'd need a much better rank.
