Supportive faculty, peaceful campus, and decent placements for CS.

Placements: I am from the B.Sc. Computer Science batch of 2023. Around 30–40% of students were placed from our course. The highest package was around 4.5 LPA, the lowest was about 1.8 LPA, and the average was 2.5–3 LPA. The top recruiters included TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and UST Global. Common roles offered were software trainee, junior developer, and testing support. Around 20–25% of students got internships, mostly in local IT firms, startups, and a few government projects. The college offered good support through training and interview preparation, but having more companies visit the campus would have really improved placement opportunities.

Infrastructure: The B.Sc. Computer Science department at Providence Women’s College had good infrastructure. We had well-equipped computer labs with internet, clean classrooms with projectors, and a library with both books and digital resources. The hostel was neat, and rooms were shared but comfortable. The mess food was average but manageable, and there was a canteen for snacks. The medical help was available nearby, and the college provided facilities for sports and indoor games. Overall, the campus was safe, peaceful, and student-friendly with all the basic needs covered.

Faculty: Teachers in our B.Sc. Computer Science course were helpful and explained things in a way we could understand. Most of them were well-qualified and knew their subject well. The syllabus covered the main topics like programming, database, and web development. It gave a good base, but if we wanted to be fully job-ready, we had to put in some extra effort ourselves. The semester exams were not too hard if we studied regularly. Most of us passed without much trouble. Overall, the teaching and syllabus were good and helped us understand the subject properly.

Other: I was from the B.Sc. Computer Science batch of 2023. I chose this course because I liked computers and wanted a career in IT. The course gave good basic knowledge and practical experience, which helped a lot. I wished there had been more internships and updated topics in the syllabus. The campus was safe, peaceful, and had good transport connections. There were fun events, sports, and clubs that made college life enjoyable. Scholarships were also available for students who needed them. Overall, I was happy with the college but hoped for better placement support in the future.
