A small review of my college.
Placements: Placement assistance has been given for students but there was a campus placement interview conducted. The lowest offered is about Rs. 5,000 per month. The highest salary offered is around Rs. 30,000 per month. It is the initial package provided for a pharma. D graduated from a hospital in Kerala. Top recruiting companies include Cipla, etc. Internships are provided in the hospital of our college itself. Students get one year of internships which a stipend of Rs. 5,000 per month. The tuition fee is paid for internships which is Rs. 1,90,000. Clinical pharmacist, industrial pharmacist, and hospital pharmacist are some roles after the course.
Infrastructure: The college has good facilities like classrooms, laboratories, a library, and Wi-Fi. The library contains many study materials, textbooks, reference books, and previous year question papers. Textbooks can be taken outside the library using the library card. Hostel facilities are provided within the campus itself. The quality of food is only average. There are canteens outside the hostel within the campus. Sports and games are conducted every year under the initiative of the college union.
Faculty: All teachers are well-qualified and have post-graduate degrees. They provide students with notes and references to refer to. The curriculum is more theory-oriented than practical. But they provide hospital training from the 2nd year. Students can take their own initiative in order to utilise the things provided for them. Examinations contain all types of questions ranging from simple to application level. The pass percentage is 50%.
Other: Pharma. D is a new and developing course in Kerala. Though its scope is less here in Kerala, it has a wide scope abroad. Arts, sports, Christmas, and Onam celebrations are some of the events conducted every year under the initiative of the college union.

My personal opinion about my college.
Placements: The number of students who got placed through campus recruitment is very few. Though campus placement assistance is provided, but companies coming for recruitment are less. The percentage of students getting placed is 30%. They get good salary packages as beginners. The college has a tie-up with some pharma companies. Top recruiting companies are Cipla, Sunpharma, etc. Internships are provided at the management-owned medical college hospital. Top roles offered in the course are clinical pharmacist, clinical research associate, pharmacovigilance, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities are quite good. The college has good infrastructure. Though the building is a bit old, it is renovated periodically. There is Wi-Fi on campus which can be used for study purposes. Classrooms are equipped with projectors. The college has a well-furnished library. The hostel building is a bit old. The mess is okay. Non-vegetarian is provided every day. Rarely there are some issues regarding food. There are two cafes on the campus which are decent and good. The college gives importance to studies and sports. Cultural activities are conducted.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. Most of them have a Ph.D. in their respective fields. Some are pursuing a Ph.D. The teaching quality is good. The teacher-student relationship is average. The course curriculum needs a few updates with regard to the new approach to modern medicine and applications. Exams are pretty difficult. The pass percentage is around 50%.
Other: I chose this course because it does not require any specific entrance exams, and admission is merit-oriented. It is a PG course, and you get a doctor prefix with your name. The college conducts cultural and sports events annually. Several workshops and seminars are also conducted. Students are also taken to seminars at other universities.
