The campus is bigger and more beautiful compared to other colleges.

Placements: Very few students get placed. Companies visit for placements, but only a few students get selected. The average package is around 5 LPA. HPPWD and some other companies are the top recruiters. Junior Engineer is the most common role. Suppose there are 70 students in a class; only 5 to 10 students get internships because of their low grades.

Infrastructure: The facilities are good; Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms are all nice and well-maintained. The hostel quality is average, and the food is also average. However, repairs take a lot of time. To pursue sports, one can use the cricket nets or the basketball court on campus.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and have a good nature. The semester exams are of a moderate level. However, there is a lack of faculty in this college. Except for the Civil branch, the other branches seem to have a shortage of faculty. But in the Civil branch, the teachers are nice and helpful, and they take classes regularly.

Other: I chose this course to earn a degree that will help me secure a placement. I am also interested in the government sector.

Rajiv Gandhi government engineering college, Nagrota Bagwan review

Placements: Placement in our college is below average because companies for only electrical and electronics & communication branch come in college. And even if you score a decent CGPA, their package starts from 3 lakh per annum only. For civil branch only 1 or 2 companies come in college and that also in every 2 to 3 years.

Infrastructure: In our college hostel is only available for first year students for next 3 years either you need to take hostel or PG. Labs in our college are well maintained and they have almost all the instruments required according to our university syllabus and wi-fi facility is also available. Also a Library block is under construction for our college students.

Faculty: Teachers and other staff members are very helpful in our college. They all have good knowledge of the subjects they are teaching, also our college curriculum is very nice. Different branches in our college organize various technical and non technical event and they are very helpful in development of students. Semester examination is moderate to highly difficult in our college and pass percentage is 50- 60 %.

Other: A large crowd is always present in engineering college, so campus should be big to handle it, our college campus is good. There is ice cream shop in our campus and a canteen also which provides good quality products. Fests are sometimes conducted in campus by different branches. Connecting roads from college are not that good it need more buses to neighbouring city.

Our college has good faculty members.

Placements: Almost 50% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 1 LPA. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 8000 per month. Top recruiting companies are Punj Lloyd, CCCL, KME Project LTD, and L&T. Almost 75% of students got internships. Top roles offered are transportation engineer, structural engineer, environmental engineer, etc. Our college provides good placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college provides us with all facilities like workshops, a library, 5G Wi-Fi, modern classrooms with modern equipment like projectors, a material lab, an AutoCAD lab, bus for industrial tourism. The hostel provides all facilities like 5G Wi-Fi, fans, drawers, and study tables. The food served in the hostel is average. Sports tournaments are organised by different branches. Our college has many modern labs.

Faculty: Many teachers have completed M.Tech. They are Ph.D. holders. The teaching quality is good. They teach very well. Semester exams are difficult but good. The pass percentage is 40%. Around 40 marks are reserved for internal assessment and practical marks.

Our college has a very good infrastructure and facilities and very nice environment.

Placements: The campus placement of our college is quite low compared to NIT Hamirpur and IIT Mandi. But our college ensures that the deserving and good students will surely get into good campus placements. The highest salary package given to a student was 10 LPA. According to infrastructure and various other facilities, this package is a great success for our college. Campus placement is done in the 7th semester. The students who are brilliant in studies and have some practical knowledge are selected very easily. You have to study very carefully and strengthen your basics. The percentage for campus placements is 65%.

Infrastructure: There are certain clubs in our college like robotics club which provides opportunities for students to represent our college on various forums.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very good and help students to achieve their dreams. All teachers are Ph.D. holders and are aware of the latest syllabus and teaching patterns or techniques. There are regular exams each semester. The degree is for 4 years so there are 8 semesters each of 6 months. So all the exams are scheduled in a proper manner.

Other: I am perusing B.Tech in civil engineering. Presently, I am in my first year. My dream is to do something big for my country. So as the world develops, our country also needs to be developed. So by civil engineering, I can also help in developing my country.

This college is not the best but still, it has a way to go.

Placements: Not many students were selected. In a group of 70, only 2-3 students might get selected depending upon the skill level of the individual. The highest salary package offered is around 5 LPA - 8 LPA and the minimum salary package offered is 2 LPA - 4 LPA. I am not sure about the other things so maybe it's best to choose skills without wasting your time.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure for studying is quite good but having a small library and excessive intense professional experts make things difficult sometimes. There is Wi-Fi on campus in which you will get 1 Gb daily. Don't expect any fun and sports activity on large terms. You will be disappointed. There is no ground. People usually play in walkways.

Faculty: Many teachers in our college are highly qualified but many, though they are qualified, don't teach that much. Some teachers are unable to transfer their knowledge to students. But many teachers teach passionately. It is for them we go to college.

Other: I chose this course because my family wanted me to have a degree. It is best if you want to go for the civil services side but not well if you trying to get into the private sector. I wish that they could introduce more private sectors in which we can actually be helpful to increase employment opportunities. There are many fests and events held out every semester. So it's better you take care of them though there isn't much money. But we can at least love the effort.

It is an overall good college, but placements are not good.

Placements: The placement record of this college is not very good, but you can crack the off-campus placements. The placements for ECE are good, but the placements for mechanical and civil are not very good. Students of the other branches can prepare for government exams.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is excellent as it is a new college. The campus of the college is very clean, and the size of the campus is very good. There is an Amul shop inside the college so that you can eat anything from that shop during college time.

Faculty: Faculty members of RGGEC are excellent and very experienced in their fields. All of them have cracked the state exams. That's why they have a vast knowledge of their subject. They are very good at doubt clearance. You can join this college if you want to gain vast knowledge of your branch.

Other: The campus of RGGEC is huge and beautiful. As it is present in the middle of mountains, it looks more beautiful in the rainy season.

Not much satisfied, but it is okay.

Placements: For civil engineering, the placements are very bad. There was no placement drive held for my batch. Only IT companies came at that time, and I don't think they offered good package. Maximum students got internships on their own.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average. We don't have Wi-Fi over here. Labs are good enough, the library and classrooms are also good. I haven't been in the hostel because during my time there, there was no hostel, I can't say anything about it.

Faculty: For sure, some teachers are qualified enough to teach you and they help a lot . This college helps students to study but I think they should help them with field knowledge/ practical knowledge. I found lack of field knowledge according to my field. Semester exams were not too much difficult but sometimes they were.

I am satisfied because of the faculty and good cultural programs.

Placements: As our college has multiple trades, i.e., civil engineering, electronic and communication engineering, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering, so the placements are very good. Many companies visit our college for placements. Mostly 30-40% of the students grab placement.

Infrastructure: The hostel facility is very good. There is a proper canteen and hall. In the hostel, rooms are very good, containing separate balconies and attach almirahs. There is no shortage of water, and the food served is good. Proper hygiene is followed here. The atmosphere is quite good. Rules are strictly followed here.

Faculty: Faculty members in the college are very good and supportive. They also share their experience while teaching. Faculty members give various kinds of examples which makes the subject practical and positive impact on students. There is a healthy environment between students and faculty members.

Other: I have chosen this course because it attracts me as civil engineering is a totally practical based subject. We connect with the environment, and without civil engineers, there is nothing possible in life.
