In order to be admitted to HPTU, students have to visit official site and enter accordingly with basic information. All one has to do is verify his or her email and then fill in personal and academic details. The candidates are to upload their photo, signature and signature by the guardian according to the size requirements. The non-HPCET applicants will pay INR 1550 (INR 1400 in case of reserved category) as an application fee.
The candidates are required to apply online with the required entrance exams in order to get admission in Himachal Pradesh Technical University. The courses are selected on the basis of JEE Main, or HPCET, or merit-based. Admission is done after the submission of the fees as the final part. Prior to enabling one to apply, course-wise eligibility has to be ascertained.
You can get direct admission in merit-based courses at Himachal Pradesh Technical University with 60% in Class 12. For BTech and other entrance-based programs, you also need JEE Main or HPCET scores. Reserved category students have relaxed criteria. Always check the latest cut-off marks.

Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with any of the following subjects: Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational subject, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, or Entrepreneurship (as per Table 8.4 of the AICTE Approved Process Handbook 2024-27).The candidate must have obtained minimum mentioned marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
Candidate must have passed D. Voc. stream in the same or allied sector.
