Placements are good in our college and approximately 900 students got placed this year.

Placements: Around 30% of students got placed in our course this year. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, etc. About 100% of students completed internships in our course and 30% of students are placed in companies as testing engineers, full-stack developers, etc.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure for our course are average compared to other courses. Classrooms are average. Labs and library are good. The quality of facilities in the hostel is poor. The food served is good. Sports are encouraged. A canteen is also available nearby our college.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are friendly and helpful with our studies. They are qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good and the course curriculum is average. Semester exams are quite difficult but teachers help us during exams by clarifying our doubts.

Other: I chose the civil engineering course because I like interior designing and civil infrastructure.

It is a better place to study engineering with good faculty members and infrastructure.

Placements: Placements at RYMEC are good as every year, more than 100 students get placed through the campus placements. Major recruiters for this college are TCS, SLK Software, Jindal Steel, etc. The placement officer is very good and dynamic as he will be helping the final year students by conducting soft skills training from the top institutions.

Infrastructure: RYMEC has very good laboratory facilities for academic purposes along with well-experienced instructors. RYMEC has a huge collection of books in the library for all the branches, and the facility to borrow books is very good. There is also an internet centre with more than 40 computer systems.

Faculty: RYMEC has very well experienced staff members. Lecturers are very helpful in clearing students' doubts and very prompt in completing the semester curriculum. Their teaching quality is very better as they will explain the concepts by giving real-world examples.

Other: Overall, RYMEC is a better place to study engineering as the students get better exposure to real-world challenges. Our college also encourages students to attend and conduct technical events.

Absolutely waste of time in this college, zero core placements and infrastructure is age old.

Placements: 1. Only 10% were placed in software service-based companies and only less than 1% very few core companies like L&T and Fabrication industry. 2. The highest package is of 4 LPA, the lowest package is of 2 LPA and the average is of 3 LPA 3. TCS and L&T, Emphasis recruited students. 4. Graduate Trainee Engineer/ Trainee Engineer are the roles offered to the students.

Infrastructure: 1. All civil laboratories like Geotechnical engineering, Environment Engineering lab, concrete technology lab, library, old classrooms, no Wi-Fi, auditorium, playground, cafeteria. 2. Food was below par, not hygienic, taste was not good. No proper facilities inside room, no medical facilities.

Faculty: 1. Some of them were very well qualified in civil engineering, having a thorough knowledge of subject in both theoretical and practical aspects of engineering, whereas majority didn't bother about the subject they are teaching or the learning acquired by students. 2. Yes, it is but the curriculum is outdated and not feasible in today's time, when compared with outside technologies and methods.

Other: 1. Civil is the only good Engineering branch at that time in RYMEC 2. Syllabus, theoretical approach and compulsory internship in the core field and placement should be improved. 3. Just average events and fests are organized, scholarship only in favour of sc/st/obc.

Placements: Placements in our college are good with mass recruiters like TCS hiring students in great numbers. Other companies like Mindtree, JSW, Kirloskar and many reputed companies visit the campus for placements. Most of the companies visited the campus to hire the students of the computer science and mechanical engineering departments. The salary package ranges from 2.5 LPA to 4.5 LPA.

Infrastructure: The college is situated on the outskirts of Ballari, and it is spread over 100 acres. Facilities like well-equipped gym, indoor badminton court, and a huge playground for football and cricket are available here. The hostel is available on the campus, and all the labs have adequate equipment. A new block for the mechanical stream has been constructed in 2015.

Faculty: Faculty members of our college are above par with a mix of senior and junior faculty. The head of departments of all the branches are PhD holders. Many professors are pursuing their PhDs. The quality can further be improved to match the standards of 2-tier or even 1-tier colleges.

Other: The college conducts an annual fest named Mandara every year with competitions from sports to college activities like quiz competitions by different branches. The cultural events conducted on our annual day is the main attraction with various performances from students. Guests from various industries are invited to this event.

Review of Rao Bahadur Y.Mahabaleshwarappa Engineering College (RYMEC).

Placements: Placements in RYMEC are good as it has tie-ups with many companies. Placements in our college are better than other colleges in Bellary. All the faculty members are well qualified.

Infrastructure: The campus is spread over 100 acres and has separate blocks for each department. The college was built in the period of Britishers. It is old and well built. The college is considered in the survey conducted on the colleges in Kandivali. Staff and security are good. Around 400 hostels are available. The campus has greenery all around that provides a good study environment. We can get books from the library to gain good knowledge.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college are well-qualified. They guide every student. Valley Hotel is present in the surroundings of the college. Overall, it is one of the best colleges in Bellari.

Life at this campus is good.

Placements: When I was in the college, companies like TCS, HGS, and Bhuvalka Pipes visited the campus for placements. More than 10 students in my classroom got placed in Tata Consultancy Services, and a total of 80-85 students got placed in Tata Consultancy Services.

Infrastructure: Classrooms in the college were good. The library was my favourite. There was a huge encouragement in sports and games. As usual, the canteen will be the favourite spot in the college as the quality of the food was good for me. I stayed in the college hostel. The hostel is really good as all the facilities are provided for low cost compared to any other hostels. The quality of hostel food was not bad.

Faculty: Lecturers in the college were good, and a few were friendly. Their teaching method was not good. The faculty members are not knowledgeable. More then 80% attendance is compulsory. If we are interested in the subject, then the course curriculum will be good.

Other: Our college is the best for conducting events. Every year, we were celebrating an event called Mandara. During Mandara, there will be cultural activities, dance performances, and sports. There will be huge support for students from the college and lectures. There will be a lunch for students and their parents, and it is delicious. There will be a celebrity guest. During one of Mandara, S. Rajamouli great Telugu film director was the chief guest, and we enjoyed a lot.
