Overall, the best college in Chikmagalur.

Placements: About 85.2% of students got placed last year. The highest package offered is 18 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our branch are Capgemini, BMW, Mercedes, Infosys, etc. But I’m not sure about internships because I am still studying in the 1st year.

Infrastructure: College has its best library and lab facilities but lacks a Wi-Fi facility. The teachers have good experience. Coming to hostel food, they provide a variety of food menus throughout the week and go according to the timetable, but also lack a Wi-Fi facility.

Faculty: All the teachers are highly qualified and have great teaching experience. All the teachers are also helpful. The branch also takes us for industrial visits for better practical experience. The semester exams are of moderate level, and the question papers come from VTU University.

Other: I chose Electrical and Electronics Engineering because there will be an upcoming green revolution in society, and it is flexible in all fields, both core and ITI sectors. The campus crowd is great, and the campus is covered with lush greenery. The fests are celebrated often.

In our college, only one are two students will get placed.

Placements: The percentage required to get placed is above 6.5 CGPA. The highest package offered by companies is above 6.5 LPA. The lowest package is 3 LPA. The top companies are Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Reliance, etc. There is an understanding of fundamental concepts like analog and digital circuits, communication systems, and embedded systems.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is okay in our college. Labs are not good in our college. There is no Wi-Fi connection. Libraries are not that good in our college. The facility of hostel food is not good, and the canteen food is also not good. Sports and games are only present when events are there.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching is not that good. The course curriculum is relevant, but it does not make us industry-ready. Exams are not that difficult for us, and it is easy. Lectures are completed. There are only 3 modules, and in the remaining 2 modules, they will be on leave.

Other: No, in our college, they will not do any events or other activities.

Faculty members are very partial and absolutely dissatisfied.

Placements: Only one student gets placed. The average package is 3 LPA. Tata and Accenture visit the campus, but no top companies come. No one gets internships. Only fresher-level normal employee jobs are offered in this course. Faculty members are partial. They do not select based on skills but refer their favorite students for campus selection.

Infrastructure: Facilities in the department are up to the mark, but the instruments in labs are old, which is improper to do labs. Library books are available, but some books are missing, and we request them to get new books. The hostel is good, but in the canteen, we have to pay for food, and costly, so we cannot fill our stomachs. Medical facilities are good, and sports and games are well played.

Faculty: Teachers are qualified. The teaching quality is somewhat understandable. The course curriculum is relevant, but labs we use are not upgraded and have only one credit. The lab systems need to be upgraded because the industry is developing. Semester exams are good, and the pass percentage of our class is 90%.

Other: Electronics and Communication is a stable and interesting branch. It is the base for the CS branch, where students can select their ways because it offers two options, hardware and software. The practical experience would improve by upgrading labs and replacing some NSS and AICTE activities with other technical subjects that help us upgrade our skills. Events are done by collecting money from us. They collect lakhs as donations but do not spend even a single rupee on us. This is a drawback of the events where money is collected from us.

A brief review of Adichunchungiri Institute of Technology, Chikmagalur.

Placements: 65-70% of students get placed every year in this course. The highest package is 15 LPA, the lowest package is 3 LPA, and the average package is 5-6 LPA. ABB, Google, ChatGPT, Amazon, TCS, etc., visit the campus. About 40% of students get internships in this course. The top roles offered are machine building, program development, and robotics building.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is old and nice. Classrooms are clean and connected with projectors. The campus is covered with average-speed Wi-Fi, there are many labs, and the library has every book that we need in 4 years. The faculty are good and well-educated, and everyone has at least a Ph.D. There is a canteen for students where we can get everything. The mess always has boring food, but it is tasty. For any emergency, they provide a van for the hospital. The college has a very large ground for sports and also has a gym.

Faculty: Yes, the teachers are helpful, highly qualified, and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is awesome. No, the course curriculum does not make students industry-ready as much as the industry needs. The semester exams are not difficult to score in but are not easy to pass. The passing percentage is 40%.

Other: I chose this course because I am interested in both machine learning and program development, and as part of this course, you can get a job in both segments: machine building or program development.

The college campus amidst nature.

Placements: Only 60% of students were placed in our college, as companies coming to our college are very few. The highest package was 11 LPA till now. Average package is 3 LPA. Top companies coming to our college are TCS and Accenture. They do not provide internships from our college. Software developer is the top role offered.

Infrastructure: Wifi is provided to our ID monthly on request. Labs and classrooms are sufficiently comfortable. The quality of the food is bad, not tasty at all. Canteen is good but untidy. Medical facilities are excellent, and sports are highly encouraged here.

Faculty: Faculty is very friendly and understanding in our department. Our syllabus is relevant, as ours is a VTU syllabus. It makes students industry-ready, but a still more efficient way is required. Difficulty level is reduced as half of the marks are with our faculty.

Other: I chose this course only because I did not want to do medicine. I found out my interest in coding in my 12th grade. I want my course to improve teaching in coding languages. Events are conducted regularly; Fest is conducted every year. Branch festivals are also done in a grand way.

Best college for engineering in Chikmagalur.

Placements: The placement in the college is very poor because every year, the maximum number of the students won't get a job in this college. So we are really fed up because of placements, especially for the civil and mechanical departments. No companies will come for placements.

Infrastructure: There is a good infrastructure, of course, provided in the college with modules. The labs are in very good condition. The library is also very good, where we can spend our time studying in the library, and it is also very peaceful. I have no idea about the college hostel because I haven't chosen the hostel.

Faculty: Faculty members in the college are very good and faculty are very friendly with students. They guide the students very well and all the faculty in the college are well educated. Exams are done very strictly in a well-disciplined manner, but sometimes, due to university responsibility, the exams will be delayed.

B.E. / B.Tech	Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with mentioned marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and should have passed these subjects individually with English as a compulsory subject from recognized by State/Central Government. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Bio Technology or Biology or Computer Science or Electronics as one of the optional subjects. Candidates belonging to OBC, SC and ST must be domicile of Karnataka state.
M.E./M.Tech	Candidates must have passed qualifying examination or equivalent examination as prescribed by the Competent Authority and obtained an aggregate with the mentioned marks (45% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Category-I candidates) taken together in all the subjects of all the years/ semesters of the Degree Examination from any recognized institute/university. (Reservation is applicable only for Karnataka Candidates)
MBA/PGDM	Candidates must have passed Bachelors degree of minimum of 3 years duration examination or equivalent and obtained an aggregate with the mentioned marks (45% of marks in Q. Adichunchanagiri Institute of Technology Infrastructure

Two boys hostels with intake capacity of 700 students and off-campus girls hostel with intake capacity of 300 students.The facilities include rooms with single, double and triple occupancy, spacious reading hall, dining hall, meditation hall, indoor and outdoor recreation. Library equipped with 46,000 volumes of science, engineering and management subjects and has subscribed to over 120 technical journals. The library has a separate reading room providing technical and non-technical, general, magazines and newspapers to improve the general awareness among the students. Regular bus services are provided from college to town and town to college.All vehicles are secured and auto-mated door locking system which are monitored closely. More than 15 buses operate on timely manner and there is a separate bus arrangement for the girls hostel.
