Placements: The placements are the worst in this college, when I compare with my friends in other colleges. Most of my friends have been placed in some or the other companies, but no company is conducting hiring in this college. The placement cell is also waste. Just took Rs. 1000 as placement assistance fees but of no use.
Infrastructure: The campus is maintained by the BSF. This was the thing on my mind when I took the admission. But only the tag is of BSF. Nothing is worth it. The website mentions that the college has Wi-Fi, but it is no where in the campus. The labs are also useless.
Faculty: The syllabus followed is of RGPV and it is totally out of date. RGPV is the worst university I have ever seen. They are just producing engineers year after year without actually providing any sort of practical knowledge. The exams are conducted every 6 months.

I would not recommend this college.
Placements: It's been 4 months since I reached my final year, and no company has conducted an on-campus recruitment drive at this college. Placements for other branches are good, but not for mechanical engineering and automobile students. When I asked one of our teachers about this, he told me to wait and that TVS would conduct a campus drive.
Infrastructure: The campus is small, and the labs are limited. The library is small. Labs are quite decent except for the mechanical and automobile branches. There is a playground.
Faculty: The curriculum is set by RGPV, and it is totally outdated. It does not have any exposure to industry. In order to get a job in a company, you have to read completely different material than what is taught in classes. Practical education is negligible.

It is an average college.
Placements: Around 40% of students get placed in our college. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA and the minimum salary package is 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TVS and Audi.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available in our college. Restrooms are not clean. Canteen is not available in our college. The quality of food served in the mess is average and value for money. Hostels are very compact as there are 4 students in a single room.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful with exams and guide students in every possible way. Semester exams are not much difficult because if students prepare well, they can easily score better percentages. The teaching quality is very good.
Other: Many teams are started in our college to develop students skills like robotic teams and mechanical teams which make different models and help students to participate in competitions.

In short, the college is average.
Placements: Rustam ji Institute off Technology is a private college under BSF academy, and it comes under RGPV. The percentage of student place in the mechanical branch is quiet law because it is far away from the Gwalior city and also it is situated at tekanpur. Sometimes companies like TVS, Tata motors. Came from the core branch of automobile and took approximately 1-3 student from the mechanical branch. Rest of candidates are selectors in CS IT sectors companies such as TCS, capgemini's, Infosys, Wipro. The highest package offer in the mechanical branch in core branch is 2.7 Lacs per annum and rest in It/CS branch approximately 4-6 Lacs offer per annum. Top recruiting companies from mechanical branch are Tata motors, TVS, Audi, Mahindra. The percentage of candidate got placement in this companies are approximately 6-7%. And rest goes to it/CS companies or prepare civil service examination.
Infrastructure: In rustomjee Institute of Technology there is two hostels for boys and one hostel for girls the name of hostels are CV Raman hostel APJ Abdul Kalam hostel are for boys and Kalpana Chawla hostel for girls. The CV Raman hostel is only for 1st years it is a new build hostel the room was big and each room there is space for 4 students. There is 4 bedded, 4 chair 4 table 4 almirah four fan four tube lights provided. Since it is a new built building infrastructure was quite nice but the condition of bathroom was poor. Two floor building the ground floor in left side there is a kitchen for MS for eating purpose and in the rights 6 rooms for students provided, in first floor there are 12 room in each room for students can live and second floor is similar to first floor but the condition of bathroom is not so good. The Abdul Kalam hostel is for students of 2nd year to final year. The room is small since it is built in first place and conditions of bathroom is not so good the best part is this hostel has its kitchen and mess so still can get hot food. The college comes under BSF academy so the BSF ch hospital is for medical purpose for students leave him hostel behind APJ Abdul Kalam hostel and in front of both hostels in basketball court.
Faculty: Faculty in mechanical branch was good, since student are not interested in study of mechanical course, they can't teach new things. Student comes in mechanical branch either prepare for CS/it company or prepare for civil service examination. Few students who is dedicated to the mechanical branch prepare for off campus via GATE. Few of them are industry ready. The semester exam was tough as there is two mid sem in each semester, and each mid sem there is 4 short answer type questions asked of 5 mark each, and 5 objective questions asked total 25 mark. The pass percentage is 100 %. .
Other: I chose mechanical branch because I like it, it has few common subjects like Thermodynamics som, Tom, engineering mechanics, fluid mechanics. The best thing about my course it deals with physical world. And you can see things physically no need to imagine some hypothetical idea. It is on the oldest branch, which comes from the era of industrial revolution. Since doesn't provide any good mechanical lab, and equipment present are old, and so accurate. So I want a better lab for my branch so that students who may came can get the best facilities. Event, fest. Are conducted by the college.

Academics are good but no college life. Placements are moderate.
Placements: Hi I'm currently pursuing B.Tech in mechanical engineering currently in fourth year ( 2019-23) batch talking about placement in my branch the placement are very decent or you can it below average usually company like TVS, AUDI, some transportation company recruits. The highest package was 12Lpa and the lowest was 2.5lpa.
Infrastructure: Talking about infrastructure the college is below average it's not looks like even college there is no canteen in our college all the shops are outside college campus. Wi-Fi is only present in Library staffs are not supportive at all library books are not up to date. Our college don't have smart class. Sports facilities are below average .
Faculty: Teachers of our college are helpful and very qualified you can clear your doubt by asking them. Our college is affiliated by RGPV but our college is self finance. Semester exams are moderate you can pass them but you have to study 10-15 days before exam .

Review of Rustamji Institute of Technology.
Placements: Our college provides good placement opportunities for the CS and IT branches but not for other branches. Some companies in the IT sector allow non-CS and IT students to participate so it's helpful for someone willing to go into the IT sector but if someone wants to work in the core branch only, then it's difficult.
Infrastructure: Our campus is small which is good. It does not have Wi-Fi, which is a major drawback. The library is not so good because it has outdated books that were published some 10 years ago. Our labs are not up to the mark.
Faculty: Our faculty members are drawing a huge sum of revenue as salary but they either don't know how to teach or don't want to teach. I have realized some teachers have good knowledge of subjects but are not able to deliver them to students.
Other: Our college conducts annual fests are organised but the cost that the college bears are negligible.

Review of Rustamji Institute of Technology.
Placements: Almost 80-90% of the students in our course are selected for the campus. Three of our seniors got selected in Amazon which is a top company. Nearly, the company will offer 45 LPA. All the students do internships. Companies like IBM, Infosys, and many other MNCs visit the campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our campus is good. We have a good library, and we can get any book related to any subject. Facilities of the hostel are good. We have Wi-Fi and quality food. Our hostel mess is clean and hygienic. We have indoor and outdoor sports and a gym too.
Faculty: All our faculty members are well qualified and helpful. They all teach well but some of the faculty members are not up to the mark. The course curriculum is good and in every semester skill courses are included and campus recruitment training is offered from the 2nd year and certifications like Pega are also offered. Exam papers are good which are covered from all topics of the subjects. The pass percentage is good.
Other: The campus is away from the city so there is less pollution and less traffic.

I am dissatisfied because of the faculty members.
Placements: Almost 4% of the students got placed, and students are also not up to the mark. The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TVS, Tata, Audit, Infosys, some IT companies, etc. Almost 15% of the students got an internship in companies like Tata, Singapore Institute of Technology and Science, TVS, Audit, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities are average. It is not a good enough college, and it is just working. Classrooms, labs, hostel and food, are in decent condition. There are no extracurricular activities. Sports facilities are very bad, and there are no proper grounds or fields.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful, but some don't care about students. Our college faculty members are selfish toward us. Teaching quality is bad.

Hello Aswin, admissions to second year of four year degree course in engineering under lateral admission process is based on marks obtained in the diploma examination. Hence if you have scored well in diploma examination then you can get admission in this institution.

Yes, some students belong to Jammu. Some students also came from Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and even from the North Eastern State of India. In the college, you will see lots of students belonging to different places from all around the India.
