Master of Business Administration (MBA) - Batch of 2020
1.8
My 2 years of college life is very bad.
Placements: I already passed out, and my passed out year is 2020. Placements are very less, and the teaching is very bad as they teach like school teachers. I think only 10 companies visit here to offer placement opportunities. However, some of the students who attended placements got jobs, while remaining did not attend. Only low-level companies visit the campus.
Infrastructure: In our college, there is no hostel, and Wi-Fi was not provided. There is a very poor canteen, and the fee is high. There are very bad bathrooms, and they collect the fee every year to construct buildings. So, every student dislikes the college. There is a very poor library, and there is no medical facility.
Faculty: In my college, some of the teachers are knowledgeable, and others are worst. Some teachers behave very badly with students like school teachers. There are only 2 groups in MBA and HR, and they are marketing and financial marketing. I suggest you to decide whether to join our college or not.
Other: In my college, scholarships are available, but some extra fee is charged. For college events also, money is collected from students, but there is no enjoyment. The fest organised here is bad.

I am satisfied with the faculty members and their support.
Placements: The placement opportunities provided by the college were good, and there are many on-campus and off-campus drives held by the college. Many companies like Just dial, Indigo, etc. visit the campus for placements. The pay packages will also be good, and the students will be provided with n-number of opportunities to avail and put the student's turn to grab them.
Infrastructure: The campus has the well-maintained infrastructure and spacious classrooms. It has a library, seminar hall, computer lab, and a playground for sports. The rooms are ventilated which would help the students to study comfortably, and it also has a canteen which provides fresh and healthy food to its students. The college also allows an hour or two in a week for sports for the students to give refreshment from studies.
Faculty: The department has experienced faculty members teaching their students not only the subject, but also the values of life and students are exposed to the practical knowledge through industrial visits and seminars. There will be many guests coming from various industries to give a deep insight into the markets and jobs.

Other: My college was very enlightening. It opened my mind to new thoughts and ideas. It exposed me to other individuals from different places and expanded my world. It challenged my ability to achieve goals. It expanded my knowledge base and gave me more confidence. I learnt that I could begin projects and achieve higher standards. Through all my hard work, I achieved high scores and that opened doors for me to walk into a highly professional career.

Other: Samantha college has its advantage of having the campus in the city near to major points in case of transportation. But it does not reach the level of management teaching and curriculum activities. It is in its 90's class room teaching and it does not provide exposure to the present management world.

Absolutely satisfied with the college environment and good faculty.
Placements: Almost 60% of students got placed. The highest package offered is 5 LPA, the lowest package is 2 LPA, and the average package is 3 LPA. Wipro, HSBC, Concentrix, etc., came here. 50% of students got internships from campus placements. Manager, executive, HR, supervisor, etc., roles are offered.
Infrastructure: We have a computer lab and a library in our department. There is no college hostel facility, but the other hostels are available outside, and they are very good. The college is in the center of the city, and all the resources are available.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful to all students and show no partiality. The course makes students industry-ready. The exams are a bit tough, and 60% is the pass percentage. There will be a thorough revision before exams.

It is a below average college with lack of good faculty members and branding.
Placements: About 50 students get placed in our course. The highest salary offered was 1 lac per month, and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 20,000 per month. The average salary offered was Rs. 40,000 per month. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Tech Mahendra, Cognizant, Capgemini, Concentrix, etc. Top roles offered were HR, manager, etc. The highest salary package offered was Rs. 50,000 per month, and the average salary offered was Rs. 25,000 per month. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 15,000 per month. About 70%-80% of the students got internships every year. Getting a placement was easy here, but not that many companies come here for an interview.
Infrastructure: We had 2 computer labs, large classrooms with enough benches for seating, fans and lights were available. Some times we used to shift classrooms as two different batches were taken to the same classes in the same room. We had a canteen with high prices, and the food served was also average. Students were not provided with Wi-Fi. There was no hostel in our college. Extracurricular activities like dance and sports were well encouraged. We had cricket, chess, flash mob, etc.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were not that helpful. Some were good, but some were not at all good. They didn't even know the subject. Most of the teachers were undergraduates, and some teachers with main subjects were good enough to share their knowledge, but that was not enough to get a job. The course was relevant, but all we have to do was to study on our own. No one will teach us anything properly.
Other: I chose this course to know about financial literacy which will make me financially well, educated and in future, I can live on my own by setting up a business or something like that. Improvements to needed in our course are that it should be more like practical learning rather than something by learning from books and copy-pasting in exams. Students should be taken outside and let them explore various markets and let them know how various markets actually work. We are very famous for events that our college conducts every year. We conduct Odisha freshers party, farewell, fests, sports activities, and annual day every year.

Our college is better but not good in placements.
Placements: About 40% of the students from our course got placed. There are no placements in our college, and companies don't visit here for placements. Our college is the worst in placements, and students strength here is very low than other colleges. Internships are not offered to students even if they have a good academic percentage.
Infrastructure: In our college, there is no Wi-Fi facility for us. However, there is a library, but they do not allow students to read books in the library. The canteen is the worst, and the cost of the food is very high. There are no medical facilities, and even there are no sports and games.
Faculty: Faculty members here are very bad, and their behaviour is also very rude. They don't know what to teach and even don't know what to do. However, some teachers are better, but some are not good. Some teachers teaching is useful for us. During interviews, they make arrangements with good discipline.
Other: I have chosen MSCS B.Sc statistics because it is useful to me.
