School of Engineering and Applied Science MTech Courses & Fees 2025: Admission & Eligibility

School of Engineering and Applied Science MTech admission is based on a valid GATE score. Candidates must apply through the online application form with payment of a non-refundable School of Engineering and Applied Science MTech application fee of INR 1,200. Applicants with a valid GATE score are shortlisted for a Personal Interaction and, applicants without a GATE score undergo a written entrance test followed by a PI.

Admissions to the MTech in Microelectronics and Semiconductors can be taken via three alternate routes:

Category-A: For graduates from Centrally Funded Technical Institutions under the Ministry of Education of the Govt. of India OR Central University, OR Ahmedabad University. The GATE score is not required. Admission will be based on an Interview.

OR

Category-B: For graduates with a valid GATE score in any one of the GATE subjects of Computer Science and Information Technology/ Electronics and Communication/ Electrical/ Instrumentation/ Physics. Admission will be based on an Interview.

OR

Category-C: For graduates from institutions/ universities other than CFTIs who do not have a valid GATE score, admission will be based on a Written Test followed by an Interview. The written test will be conducted on campus by the School of Engineering and Applied Science.

Candidates who get admission to the MTech programme are required to pay the School of Engineering and Applied Science MTech fees of INR 3.5 Lakh to confirm their seat.
