Information Science and engineering is one of the six specialisations of engineering programme offered at SDM- Institute of Technology and a total of 60 seats are offered in this programme. Diploma holders in engineering with at least 45% marks and above (40 % marks and above for reserved category) taken together in all subjects of final year are eligible for taking admission in the corresponding branch of second year engineering at SDM- Institute of Technology.

The candidate should have passed class 12 with physics, mathematics as compulsory subjects and chemistry/biotechnology/ computer/ electronics/ biology any one as an optional subject with 45% aggregate marks for general category students and 40% aggregate marks for reserved category students.
The students can take admission in the SDM- Institute of Technology through management quota by merit. They should have appeared and obtained a valid K-CET/COMEDK/JEE ranking score. Students meeting the eligibility criteria may fill the admission form and seek admission.
SDM Institute of Technology BTech cutoff 2023 for Civil Engineering was 66641 for SC and 66641 for ST category. SDM Institute of Technology cutoff is based on COMEDK scores for the BTech admissions. Candidates seeking admission must register and participate in COMEDK Counselling in order to be eligible. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in COMEDK, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.
