I am absolutely satisfied with good placements.

Placements: The placement quality of our college was good as they provided 100% of placements in 2016 and 2019. Around 85-90% of students get placed every year.

Infrastructure: Our campus fulfilled all the needs of the students. It was clean, hygienic, and had an eco-friendly environment. Wi-Fi facility was available 24 hours a day. Classrooms and hostel rooms were centrally air-conditioned. Mess food was delicious. Computer labs were well-equipped and up-to-date. It had an incredible library assembled with books related to academics, newspapers, articles, etc. There were various sports like volleyball, gym, and table tennis.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college were very good and mentored students well. The course curriculum was updated with all the recent developments in the field. The pass percentage of semester exams was good to get good scores.

Other: I chose this course because I was interested in machines. I want to study many subjects like the theory of computation, database management systems, and information and web technology subjects. This course made students industry-ready.

There were good placements from 2015 to 2019, after that, packages were low.

Placements: In the Diploma Paper Technology batch, approximately 60% to 70% of students were placed in Seshasayee Paper and Boards, which owns Seshasayee Institute of Technology. The average monthly salary was around Rs. 20,000 for freshers. The lowest salary was around Rs. 15,000. Some of the top recruiting companies included Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited TNPL, Seshasayee Paper and Boards SPB, ITC Paperboards, Sripathi Paper and Boards, and Andal Paper Mills.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was decent. The Paper Technology department had good lab facilities such as pulp testing, paper testing, and chemical analysis labs. Classrooms had basic digital support. The library was moderately stocked with relevant textbooks and journals. The hostel facilities were average, rooms were manageable, but maintenance could have been improved.

Faculty: Faculty members in the Paper Technology department were knowledgeable and experienced in the relevant field. Most of them had prior industry exposure. They were approachable, friendly, and ready to clarify doubts in the classroom. Some faculty members also encouraged us to participate in paper symposiums and technical events to enhance our skills. Overall, faculty played a major role in shaping our understanding and preparing us for industry-level challenges.

Other: While the course content and industrial exposure were strong, there were still a few areas where improvement was needed. The hostel facilities and mess food quality could have been upgraded to provide better comfort for students. More focus could also have been given to soft skills training, communication development, and campus interview preparation, which would have helped students perform better during job placements.
