When I got into this college, my friends told me that I would not get placements, However, a few private companies come and recruit students.

Review of Physics B.Sc. course in S. A. Jaipuria College, Kolkata.
Placements: I was in the Physics B.Sc. course. There were no direct placements for my branch, but several companies like TCS had placements for entry-level jobs. Many from other courses did get it by clearing a written test and then interview. My course was not placement-focused, it was only to gain knowledge to help in higher studies. The college didn’t have any technical courses to speak of that promise placements. All B.Sc. courses were designed to make the student ready for Master’s and Doctorate.
Infrastructure: Overall infrastructure was at par with other semi-Gov colleges. Physics Laboratory was well-equipped with various machines, and recently new equipment was bought for Solid State Physics and Quantum Physics experiments. Both digital and analog equipment were present. Canteen was good and clean with a few seats. Wide variety of food at affordable rates suitable for a college student. Wi-Fi was available but only for its namesake, connection was too weak to work with. No hostel. Sports and games room present, including gym. Gym was not well-equipped, only a single multi-press machine with various small equipment.
Faculty: Several teachers were well-versed with their specializations and taught well, though not all, the teaching quality was good for several teachers but again not for everyone. The course curriculum is relevant for those who want to study Physics, computational Physics, and gain relevant skills. While no graduate course will make a student fully industry-ready, my course is effective at what it aims to teach. Semester exams were conducted by Calcutta University, with a passing percentage of 35 percent.
Other: I chose this course because there were a few very good faculty members. Events and fests were not common in my college, as is the case with small colleges in and around Kolkata.

I am satisfied with my college very much.
Placements: General top recruiters for the college include Wipro, HDFC, GE Capital, Balmer Lawrie, etc. B.A. students may intern with firms like The Hindu, Times of India, NGOs, and government bodies, including sectors like media and education. B.A. graduates might find roles in sectors such as education, journalism, government, and NGOs, with potential employers like The Hindu, NDTV, various NGOs, & government bodies. B.A. programs at Seth Anandram Jaipuria College have minimal to no structured placement support or internships arranged by the college, based on student reviews. The college seems to focus more on commerce and science when it comes to campus placements.
Infrastructure: The college has spacious, well-ventilated classrooms and seminar halls with ICT support. There are well-equipped departmental and computer labs; an airy library with e-resources, plus internet-enabled reading zones. Campus-wide Wi-Fi coverage, computer center offering professional courses. There are maintained PCs and IT support. There are clean, affordable canteens open across shifts. The college has a gym, indoor common rooms (table tennis, chess), and outdoor sports facilities, including a playground. On-site health center with subsidized tests and first aid; well-structured maintenance staff, security, and housekeeping. There's no official college hostel. Students typically stay in nearby PGs for around Rs. 5,000 - Rs. 7,000. The canteen food is decent; PG mess quality varies.
Faculty: Seth Anandram Jaipuria College has well-qualified, experienced, and approachable teachers who are helpful and supportive, making the teaching quality effective and student-friendly. The curriculum, designed under the University of Calcutta, is comprehensive and balanced, helping students gain academic depth and industry exposure through placements, internships, and career counseling, thus making them career-ready. Semester exams are usually of moderate difficulty and manageable with regular study and class attentiveness. Passing is not very tough for sincere students. Though the exact pass percentage is not officially disclosed, the majority of students successfully clear the exams each semester with good results.
Other: I chose B.A. at Seth Anandram Jaipuria College for its strong academic base and experienced faculty. The best thing about the course is its flexible curriculum and supportive teachers who make concepts clear. More industry oriented training and practical exposure would improve it further. The college hosts cultural events, fests and debates that encourage student participation. The campus crowd is diverse and friendly with good connectivity to all parts of Kolkata. Surroundings are lively with cafes and bookshops nearby. Scholarships are offered to meritorious students, and extracurricular activities like sports and NSS provide overall growth opportunities.

Good faculty support, decent placements, and well-maintained infrastructure.
Placements: In our course, around 70-80 percent of students got placed while a few opted for higher studies. The highest package offered is around 10 LPA the lowest is about 3 LPA and the average package is nearly 5 LPA to 6 LPA. Top recruiters included companies like TCS Wipro Infosys Deloitte and EY. Almost 60 percent of students also got internship opportunities in reputed firms such as ICICI HDFC PwC and ITC. The major roles offered in finance auditing business analyst tax associate and consulting profiles which give students good career exposure.
Infrastructure: Our college provides well-maintained infrastructure with spacious classrooms WiFi computer labs projectors seminar halls and a fully stocked library. Hostel facilities are decent with proper accommodation hygienic food served in the mess and a canteen that provides snacks and meals at affordable rates. Sports facilities like cricket football and indoor games are available along with medical support for emergencies. Overall both course and hostel facilities ensure a comfortable and supportive environment for students.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified, supportive, and explain concepts clearly. The curriculum is relevant to industry needs with a good balance of theoretical and practical knowledge. Semester exams are moderately difficult but with proper preparation students can score well. The pass percentage remains quite high. Teachers are approachable. They always encourage doubts, which makes learning easier.
Other: The course is quite affordable compared to other institutes offering similar programs. The facilities, faculty quality, and placement opportunities justify the fees, making it a good value for money.

It's a really good college with good faculty members.
Placements: The placement cell of this college is average. Some companies like Wipro and TCS come for placement frequently. Some students get internships at this college in some accounting firms. People are getting 2.50 Lacs to 3.00 Lacs as an average package, but the number of students is not so big.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. Free Wi-Fi facilities are available all over the college. Classrooms are very big. No hostel facilities are available in this college. There are lots of PG rooms available near the college at very affordable prices. A canteen facility is also available in this college.
Faculty: Faculty members are good at this college. They are very strict about your attendance. All facilities are very friendly, and they teach very well. This will help you in the future, also. They teach all the chapters very clearly; this will help you for the semester exam as well.
Other: Various events take place in this college. You all can participate in those events.

A worthwhile college for undergraduate psychology.
Placements: I did a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and there were no placements offered at that time. Internships from the college side were also not available. If you were willing to do it yourself, you were free. Generally, most colleges cannot provide placements after undergraduate studies, but internships should have been mandatory.
Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure of the college was good, but classrooms assigned to the Psychology department were very less. Wi-Fi was available but generally not available to students. The Psychology lab was very good. Recently, a lift was installed, which was a savior. The infrastructure could have been improved.
Faculty: Teachers were quite supportive and helpful. The curriculum was based on the subject and was very diverse. The semester exams were very impartial and tough too. The pass percentage was above 75 percent. Teachers tried their best to complete the course, provide notes, and conduct practice sessions.
Other: I strongly felt the need to add compulsory internships for better learning and experience.

Good college for people living in Kolkata.
Placements: There are many types of courses provided at my college, like B.Com, B.Sc., etc. But as per my knowledge and after talking about placements with my seniors, there is no on-campus placement provided in my college. Although the college provides information about available jobs and vacancies in companies located in Kolkata. There are internships I am not sure if the college provides internships or if we have to arrange them ourselves.
Infrastructure:
The campus of our college is small. The college has three shifts morning, day, and evening, so there is no hostel facility available. Classes are good, but there are no smart classrooms. The college library is great, but the availability of books is poor. The college has a canteen (the food is okay) and a gym too.
Faculty: Teachers here are good, but most teachers refer to teaching in Bengali, so it is quite difficult for students from other states (non-Bengali). There is no such initiative taken to make students industry-ready. As for exams, they are taken by Calcutta University, so you have to go to different colleges for your semester exams.
Other: The majority of the population is native Bengali, so if you are from other states, you have to understand Bengali. Overall, if you don't want to waste a year and are getting this college. You might consider this college only if you are doing other professional courses like CA, CS, etc., or preparing for MS or other jobs.
