Not good for placement, but average for us.
Placements: The batch of 2019 was the highest placed in a sector, but the placement is not very good. You can say that it's up to you to find a job based on your educational background; you have to excel in some other position or exam. The internship rate is high; almost every student completed it.
Infrastructure: Not so good with infrastructure, but there is Wi-Fi and a library. The system is also very good; you can go with it. Hostel facilities are quite good, but not so much; there are very strict rules, and the food is average. Overall, it's good to take admission in this college.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified. It's seen in their notes; the authenticity they provide us is very good, and it makes us ace the exam if we follow it. Semester exams are quite difficult, but if you are prepared with notes, you will surely excel.
Other: There is no campus life.

It is not a better college compared to others near it.
Placements: Placement and internship opportunities in my college are quite disappointing. It's really disappointing that people change our college students. Only around 20-40% of students get placed, mostly in low-paying roles like sales or support. There are barely any proper campus recruitment drives. The college does not have strong industry connections or training programs. Internships are rarely offered through college. We have to manage everything on our own. Overall, there is very little support or guidance provided for career growth or skill development.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and very qualified. Some of them are PhD holders and some are B.Ed qualified. We can really trust them with the process of studying and completing our syllabus. Semester exams are moderate to tough, and we have to revise the syllabus to pass exams. Faculty members at the college are helpful and qualified. The teaching quality varies from teacher to teacher. The course curriculum is more theory-based and not fully industry-ready. Around 40-50% of students manage to pass.
Other: Campus life is very bad. No festivals and events are held.

Good faculty with strictness.
Placements: It is not at all good for placements. Only 10% of students get placed. The salary received by some students is Rs.10,000 per month. Around 90% of students get internships at different places. Students do internships for 15 to 30 days each semester, with some options to choose the subject of internship.
Infrastructure: The building is not so good and needs to be repaired. Some of the classes are actually very dirty. The Wi-Fi password is never shared with us. The canteen food is quite good. We can get dosa, Chowmein, biscuits, and other snacks. Sports and games are once a year.
Faculty: Teachers are quite good at their job and give time to complete the syllabus. They help to complete the course every time with strictness. Every student should attend at least 5 classes every week for each subject. The passing percentage for every semester is 60%.
Other: I wish to improve the campus and fest and event management, as there should be more events.

It is an average college with no campus life.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in our college is very low. It's around 10 to 15%. You have to complete your course and simultaneously study for other competitive exams on your own. Around 98% of students do internships at our college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is average. Classrooms are basic, the library is decent but has limited books. There is no proper Wi-Fi or lab setup for general courses. Hostel facilities are okay, but not very clean or modern. Food in the canteen is average and sometimes repetitive. Medical help is minimal, and sports and games facilities are almost negligible.
Faculty: Faculty at Jalan College are helpful and qualified, though teaching quality varies from teacher to teacher. The curriculum is more theory-based and not fully industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately tough. Around 40–50% of students manage to pass.
Other: Campus life here isn’t exciting at all. There are no regular fests, events, or fun activities to look forward to. The college closes early, so students mostly head home or to the hostel right after classes. There isn’t much of a lively atmosphere or student interaction outside the classroom. With limited hangout spots and no active clubs or societies, the overall vibe feels more academic and dull rather than like a real college experience.

Average college for students not extraordinary.
Placements: Placement is not so good in this college you need to give government exams like SSC CGL, SSC CPO, CHSL, or railway. If you want to secure a good future don't depend on college placement because the percentage of students got placed is lower than 20%.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available for students to use, classrooms are clean, and fans and lights are in good condition. The infrastructure is also good and the sports and games happen in the college with a huge number of participants. Canteen food is quite good.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in completing the syllabus of each semester, give notes to get good marks, and help students if they ask for teachers are mostly friendly. Semester exams are actually difficult but with good preparation, it doesn't feel that difficult.
Other: I loved arts subjects from school time and the best thing is that teachers don't pressure much on students. Fees are quite good according to the quality given.

SSJGC has experienced faculty, no hostel availability, and a clean environment.
Placements:
I am from B.Com (Hons), and no direct placement options are available in our college, but they do provide internship opportunities. Seniors have mentioned that there are good options available for internships. As I'm in my first year, I have already attended two seminars for internship opportunities. One of them was at the BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange), which had a fee of 5000.
Infrastructure:
The college infrastructure is quite good, it has a canteen, library, and reading room. The canteen offers a variety of affordable food items, and there are sick rooms available. There is no Wi-Fi facility or hostel facility, but nearby PGs are available, and the minimum charge per head for a PG is Rs. 12,000.
Faculty: Teachers here are qualified and have good teaching experience. Examinations are divided into internal and external exams. Internals are conducted in college, and externals are held at the university level. The question papers are available in Bengali and English, with a standardized set of questions. Teachers here are approachable, and various functions on campus. Jalan is quite reputed in Kolkata for pursuing B.Com (Hons). They can improve in attendance and online classes.
