Q:   Can I become a lawyer after completing my LLB?
A: 

No, After completing LLB you become a lawyer, however, you are still not an advocate and hence cannot practice law. To become an advocate and to practice law as a profession, you mandatorily need to clear the All India Bar Examination (AIBE). After qualifying AIBE, one can practice law as a full fledged profession. 

Q:   Can I become a lawyer without a Law degree?
A: 

No, you cannot become a lawyer without a Law degree. You mandatorily need to obtain degrees such as BA/BCom/BSc/BBA LLB or LLB in order to be a lawyer in India. To become a lawyer, one must first complete three-year or five-year LLB from a recognised university and possess degree certificate. Then, they must enrol themselves in local Bar Council of the concerned state and enrolled as an advocate. Within two years of the enrolment, they must appear and clear AIBE in order to be eligible to practise anywhere in India.

The college is affordable and is a good place to study for future lawyers.
Placements: From this college, 10 to 20 students crack JMFC exam every year. The college has a good reputation in the law sector in the state of Maharashtra. So, the students who pass out from this college have more scope in the legal sector as well as social life.
Infrastructure: It is a government college, so the infrastructure is not so good. The educational atmosphere is good. Good education is provided. Medium size classrooms that can accommodate 60 to 70 students are available. A beautiful courtroom is available for mootcourt competitions. The college has an average library with law journals, books and law books. An old and big library is also available for court judgments and research books. The college is a three-floor building in the middle of the city. The college does not provide Wi-Fi. The college has a small computer lab and one big study room near the library for students. The college provides hostel facilities for girls only.
Faculty: All the teachers are well qualified and are PhD holders in law-related subjects. This college has very helpful and intelligent teachers for 5-year law courses, 3- law courses and also other Diploma law courses. A total of 20 to 30 specialised teachers are available for various subjects.
Other: Shahaji Law College is a reputed college in the law sector in Kolhapur and in its surroundings. This college produces many district judges, well-named lawyers and many social workers. IST, ST and minority have government quota in this college. All scholarship schemes of state and central government are applicable in this college. Annual fees are very low compared to other colleges. The campus is in the middle of the city, and there are many food spots, gardens and relaxing spaces nearby.
