No, there is no way of getting direct admission in SGSITS. Admissions are given only on the basis of merit. The only way of getting it is through JEE Mains. However if you have reservation it is an advantage. Home state quota is there so most of the students you'll see will be of MP. Reservations are based on gender as well as caste and also on income basis.

In Shri GS Institute of Technology and Science the food is not good. In the hostel, mess food is not good. In dinning hall which is also present in the college campus where you will get decent food but you have to pay extra for eating in dining hall.

Yes, a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Civil Engineering programme is available at the Shri G.S. Institute of Technology & Science in Indore. It is a four-year, full-time undergraduate programme. The programme has excellent placement possibilities and is certified. Since 1956, the institute has been delivering the course.

Nothing happens if you fail the mid semester only there will be bit loss of CGPA. But if you fail the end semester exam you'll have to again appear for it in next semester. 3 attempts are given for individual subject. There are 2 mid semester exams and mostly best of 2 is considered for the final sessional marking. Even if you miss any one of them try scoring good in the other one . But if you miss end semester exam you'll fail in that subject.

The admission is based on the JEE Main rank obtained by the candidate, candidates must take the JEE Main exam in order to get admission for the B.Tech. in Civil Engineering programme at Shri GS Institute of Technology & Science, Indore. The required rank for admission is up to 1 lakh or 90 percentile.  

If someone misses the end or mid sem no re exam is taken mostly. In case of mid semester there is not much loss. But if you miss the end semester then you'll fail that subject and will have to give exam of that subject in next semester. Each branch at SGSITS has 80-120 students approximately. However the strength keeps on increasing every year. 10 branches are there in SGSITS including B.Pharma. Every year has 1000-1200 students including all branches. In first year, students from different branches study together but from second year they are segregated based on branches alloted to them.

College life at SGSITS (Shri G.S. Institute of Technology and Science) is a vibrant and exciting experience. SGSITS is a well-known engineering institute located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. The college is located in the heart of the city hence every thing is very near to it be it railway station, shopping malls, restaurants. Though acadmics might be a bit hectic here with strict attendence and a lot of assignments followed by lab work. College provides various sports facilities like Football Ground, Volleyball Court, badminton Court. College has various clubs and commities. Some Clubs are E-cell, Training and placement cell, Pratibimb and ojasva.

In Shri GS Institute of Technology and science, there is no specific cultural event. But there are some cultural clubs present in college which conducts thir respective events. This event conducts for different activities like dance singing and other activities as well.

For first year I would say try to explore the college as well as the city indore. College is a very new experience for everyone. Try making new friends and explore the city. A lot of places near the college are worth going. Some places near the college are chappan, TI mall, Starbucks. For academics I would say try maintaining good attendance atleast 75 percent. Do all the assignments and lab work on time. Try being in the good books of the professor for good sessionals. Try to join different clubs and explore as much as you can. Be regular in your studies. Prepare seriously for mid semester exams. Stay in company of good and hardworking students.
