MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery - Batch of 2025
4.8

I strongly recommend this college for UG.
Placements: Each batch consists of 120 students, and the average package offered is nearly 1 lakh. Recruitment is based on the Medical Officer Commission Examination conducted by the state government, while some private hospitals hire doctors through walk-in interviews. The top roles available include Head of Department, associate professor, assistant professor, registrar, senior president, junior president, and intern.
Infrastructure: This college boasts extraordinary infrastructure, featuring private Wi-Fi, various labs, and classrooms designed as smart classrooms. All facilities are fully air-conditioned, and the campus is equipped with CCTV surveillance. The hostel provides rooms with furniture, RO water, a library, a badminton court, lift facilities, and a supportive environment, although the quality of mess food is average.
Faculty: Professors are supportive and consistently monitor students' grades for improvement. The curriculum of the MBBS course is now concise and more clinically oriented, ensuring that students are industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately challenging, with a passing requirement of 50% or above.
Other: Additionally, a variety of extracurricular activities are organized in our college, including badminton, football, cricket, and table tennis championships. Events such as IRIS, Rukhsat, and Arambham are also celebrated.

B.Sc. in Nursing - Batch of 2025

It is the best college for nursing.
Placements: For admission, a reduction of 65% is applied. The lowest salary package for this course is 25000 per month, while the highest is 400000. The best job opportunity is at AIIMS. My batchmates are very supportive and cooperative, and I believe that B.Sc. Nursing is an excellent course. The best role in this field is that of a scrub nurse.
Infrastructure: All the college areas are under a Wi-Fi network. The library is very clean and silent. In the lab, all the instruments are present and clean. The canteen facilities are also present. All the washrooms are clean. The game area is very big. All facilities are available.
Faculty: The B.Sc. the nursing course is very good. My college teachers are very educated and handsome. The courses are very excellent and qualified. The college environment is very helpful. They are knowledgeable. The college has a hospital. They are helpful for students.

Review of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College And Hospital, Mandi.
Placements: "I am Dr. Rajat Kumar Sharma, from the 2019 batch, enrolled in the MBBS programme at SLBS Government Medical College and Hospital (SLBSGMCH), Mandi at Ner Chowk. Throughout my academic journey, I have remained committed to learning, clinical excellence, and personal growth. My experience so far has been enriching, both academically and professionally. I look forward to continuing my journey with the same dedication and enthusiasm.
Infrastructure: The college provides good infrastructure and facilities for medical students. The academic block is equipped with spacious classrooms, most of which are smart classrooms with projectors and audio systems. The library is centrally located, offering a wide range of medical textbooks, reference materials, and journals, along with a reading room facility that is open for extended hours. Wi-Fi facilities are not available yet. Regarding the hostel, the rooms are decent and adequately furnished with basic amenities like beds, study tables, chairs, and cupboards.
Faculty: Teachers at SLBS Government Medical College, Mandi at Ner Chowk, are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and supportive. Teaching quality is good, with a strong focus on both theoretical learning and clinical skills. The MBBS curriculum follows NMC guidelines, making it relevant and preparing students for real-world medical practice. Semester exams are moderately difficult, emphasizing understanding and application over rote learning. Regular internal assessments and clinical postings help students stay prepared. The pass percentage is fair, with most students successfully clearing exams with consistent effort. Overall, the academic environment is conducive to learning and professional development.

Brilliant environment with good infrastructure and one of the best medical colleges in North India.
Placements: I am Dr. Shubham Pradhan MBBS student of batch 2019 from Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College & Hospital. The strength of our batch is 120 candidates. However, PG seats are comparatively very low but the average package is around 1 Lacs for GDO seats and Rs. 40,000 for the rest of the PGs. Hands foundation is the most liked association my fellow batchmates joined after MBBS. Nearly 94% of my colleagues got internships at AMRU. The top role offered in this course is to be the class representative as per their marks.
Infrastructure: Every department has its separate labs, classrooms, and Wi-Fi but there is only one library. The quality of food provided in the mess and canteen is good. Not all medical facilities are available in the hospital but the gym, playground, and areas of other sports and other games are brilliant designed.
Faculty: Faculty are qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable but less in number. Teaching quality is above average. Course curriculum is relevant and it makes the students emergency hospital duty-ready. Semester exam are not much difficult as the passing rate is 75%.
Other: I am from batch 2019 and I chose this course as it was my childhood dream to become a doctor. To treat patients in their difficult times and get their blessings in return is the best thing in MBBS. The duration of this course is too long it should be reduced. Many cultural events and one festival is conducted every year and the campus crowd is also good. Campus surroundings are clean and surrounded by mountains. Scholarship programs are available for every student. Extracurricular activities like marathons, dance, music, Karate, etc., are being provided.

The best infrastructure of the college and campus among the medical colleges of Himachal.
Placements: There are 120 MBBS seats in a batch, my college is in Nerchowk, a small city in the district mandi. In the internship, you'll get a stipend of 20 thousand and after MBBS you can earn up to 1 Lacs monthly depending on your skill and the state in which you are applying for the job.
Infrastructure: Single room is given to students after 2nd year. Mess is okay. No Wi-Fi facility. Indoor sports are available like TT. Badminton court is really good (YONEX) Fest known as IRIS happens every year during intercollege events. The quality of the food is not so good. There are medical facilities available in the hospital.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and well-qualified doctors. Semester exams are moderately difficult. There is college dress in 1st year after that no official uniform. The syllabus is very vast, study regularly and consistently. Always attend clinical classes, the minimum attendance required to sit in exams is 75%.
Other: Library facility is also available from 9 am to 10 pm. The hospital patient ratio in OPD is good.

Our college infrastructure is good.
Placements: The college just started a few years ago, i.e., 2017. Placement opportunities are slightly better, but during internships, we can learn a lot of things.
Faculty: AMRU University takes exams, which are of a moderate to easy pattern of 10 MCQ in a paper. There are 2 papers for each subject and 3 hours. Faculty members are good, and regular class tests are held.
Other: A fest named Iris, and a freshers' party known as Eminence, are held regularly. It has a ragging-free campus. Regular sports week is also organised by the CSA of the college, and it's pretty fun. The connectivity to the city is good.
