SITS, Narhe, has a placement cell that places 70–80% of B.E./B.Tech students, especially in the IT and computer departments. Software engineer positions are available from top recruiters like TCS, Infosys, Accenture, and Capgemini, with average pay of INR 3–4 LPA in 2024. The lowest package was approximately INR 2.3 LPA while the biggest package reached INR 10 LPA. Placement rates are lower in core branches like mechanical. Due to the lack of internship opportunities students frequently have to look outside of their school for real-world experience.

{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}Based on the information provided, whether B.E./B.Tech at Sinhgad Institute of Technology and Science (SITS) is worth the investment largely depends on individual expectations and priorities. Here's a balanced view:Pros:1. Good placements record: SITS has a decent placement record, with over 80% of students getting placed, and packages ranging from 4.5 LPA to 12 LPA.2. Experienced and knowledgeable faculty: The faculty members are well-qualified, experienced, and helpful, with many holding Ph.D.s from reputed institutions.3. Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure, with modern laboratories, libraries, and hostel facilities.4. Campus life: SITS organizes various events, festivals, and cultural programs, offering a vibrant campus life.Cons:1. Limited autonomy: SITS is a non-autonomous institution, which may limit its flexibility in terms of academic programs and policies.2. Some faculty members' behavior: While some faculty members are praised for their help and support, others have been criticized for their behavior and attitude.3. Food quality: The quality of food in the mess is reportedly poor, and hostel residents often rely on outside options.4. No outdoor games facilities: The absence of a playground or outdoor game facilities might be a drawback for students interested in sports.Verdict:Considering the pros and cons, if you're looking for a college with strong placements, a reputation for producing employable graduates, and a relatively affordable tuition fee, SITS could be a worthwhile investment. However, if you prioritize autonomy, a diverse range of extracurricular activities, or exceptional food quality, you may want to explore other options.Ultimately, the decision to invest in a degree at SITS depends on your individual goals, aspirations, and priorities. Researching and weighing both positive and negative aspects will help you make an informed decision.
