Review of Sree Kerala Varma college.

Placements: The percent of students getting placed is very low at this college. I really do not know about the packages here. There are many internship opportunities here. The recruiting companies are normally small companies and I didn't know about that.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are pretty good for an aided college. The college consists of labs for respective courses. There is a really well-facilitated computer lab for Bachelor of Computer Application and B.Sc. Statistics students and the lab has a Wi-Fi facility.

Faculty: I can speak about my department teachers. I am a Bachelor of Computer Application student here and the teachers are very good; they teach very well. The classes are in Malayalam, which helps us understand the subject more deeply. The semester exams are not that difficult.

Other: I chose this course for a better future. The campus life here is pretty good. There are other festivals and a long variety of clubs as well.

Good college for studying. But campus placement is not available.

Placements: They do not give placement opportunities to the students. There is also no campus selection at the college. BCA in most of the colleges provides placements and campus selection, which are essential for every student. This makes studying BCA at this college a lot tougher.

Infrastructure: The BCA department has a good building, not the best but students can manage studying. All other departments have old and weak buildings. BCA and Statistics have a common computer lab, and the PCs are well maintained. The lab responsibilities are under the BCA department teachers. The hostels are not the best but they are cheap. The buildings are old. Means hostel food is good but ladies hostel food is average. The college supports sports very well; there will be at least 2 or 3 sports students in each department.

Faculty: The teachers are qualified. They do good work in teaching the students. BCA is a good course, and students from science and commerce backgrounds can find it less difficult than others. It is the entry-level UG degree for getting into the IT field. The exams are fairly easy to pass. It has some difficulties. You will get a P-grade if you pass.

Other: I personally want to get into the IT field. It is fairly easy so an average student can pass with 0 or fewer supplies. The college wants to improve campus selection and internship opportunities. There are many programs conducted by the union members of the college, NSS and departments. The campus surroundings, which are green and full of trees, give students the freedom to rest. I personally have 2 scholarships: one is an e-Grantz scholarship and the second is a central sector national scholarship.

Excellent college for studies, sports, arts and many other things.

Placements: About 33–40 percent of students were placed in this course. The course is completely free apart from your exam fees, which are below INR 2000 per semester; in fact, you will get an equivalent amount of INR 900 per month if you belong to any backward community. All the above conditions of the fee structure are only applicable if you got admission on merit, sports, special sports, or community quota. If you are seeking admission through management quota, then your fees will be below INR 12,000 per year. The top recruiting companies for this course are TCS, Wipro, etc. Around 90–95 percent got internships. The top roles offered in this course are Python developer, programmer, etc.

Infrastructure: All the basic infrastructure is available, like good classrooms and labs that are in good working condition with free Wi-Fi, and around 200 books, especially concentrated on the BCA syllabus, are available in the college library, which is a lot more for reference. Hostels for boys and girls are available, and if the distance between your house and the college is more than 80 km, you can easily get admission to their hostels. Students who belong to backward communities (SC and ST) don't have to pay hostel fees or mess fees. It's completely free for them. Otherwise, the hostel fee and mess fee include INR 2800 for one month. The quality and taste of the food available in the college hostel are only 6/10. First aid is available in the college office. Sports and games are very active at this college. Coaches for cricket, football, basketball, judo, boxing, fencing, water polo, athletics, and kabbadi are available, as are councils for various sports like basketball, judo, boxing, etc., which provide free hostel accommodation and food service for students engaged in them.

Faculty: Highly qualified teachers are available at this college. Professors with Ph.D.s are there in every department. The teaching quality is excellent, as the teacher will explain many times till you get the syllabus crystal clear. The curriculum is relevant as it includes portions like Java, C, C+, and Python that are in high demand, and it also makes the students ready for the industry. The semester exams are conducted by Calicut University, and they are not that tough. Above 90–95 is the pass percentage.

Other: The best thing about this course is that it is a recent trend that will lead to faster placement in top-reputed companies and MNCs. The programmes at this college are more extensive than you think. Every week, more than one event or programme is a must for this college, which makes campus life good. The campus is surrounded by thick, lush green trees, which makes it eco-friendly.

This college has a good campus.

Placements: Sree Kerala Varma College was an arts and science college, so there were no placements like at other professional colleges in Kerala. Only a small percentage of students got internships from the college. There was no proper placement cell in the college. It affected placements very badly.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is above average. The entire campus has a Wi-Fi connection. The infrastructure of computer labs and science labs is above average. The college has one of the best libraries in the state. The infrastructure of the hostel is average.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching styles of some teachers are not good. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not conducted in the correct order and are moderately difficult.

Overall, it is a good college.

Placements: More than 60% of students get placed in the college, and I got placed in Infosys. More than 20 companies visit our college for placements. It is a government college, so no fee is asked. The BCA course offers many opportunities for students.

Infrastructure: It provides a good hostel facility with clean surroundings. The food served in a mess is good, and there are good mess workers. Our college is fully Wi-Fi enabled. Labs are good here. We practice games like football, cricket, tennis, and basketball in our college. We won the inter-university champion in football.

Faculty: Our college has good and more experienced teachers. Teachers are masters here. They are comfortable and friendly. The first and second semesters are very easy, and balance semesters are a little bit tougher than the first and second. The pass percentage is 89%. Our college gives students experience in each course.
