This college is the best in the Shillong.

Placements: 35 students were placed in my course. Companies like NIIT recruits the students for internship and also gives them certificates. 60% students approximately are recruited for internships. Roles offered in my college are Photography, Journalism and desktop publishing.

Infrastructure: So many facilities are provided in my college like library, free Wi-Fi, 3 computer labs etc. Infrastructure is also a top notch in my college. The quality of food is excellent in both hostel and canteen and the food in the canteen is very much affordable.

Faculty: The teachers in my college are really nice and helpful and they are always there to guide us. Yes, the course that I have chosen is a professional course they prepare all round for the better future and to secure jobs. The Semester exams are not really that difficult if you are a good listener and listen to the lecture, well it's easy.

Other: I chose this course seemed very attractive and promising and I am very passionate about photography which is offered to us via this course I wish we had more classes practically and maybe more field trips because through experience we learn better *Our college host many events and we also have a college week which makes this college more interesting to be part of *Scholarship are also provided for the students.

St Anthony's college is one of the best colleges in Shillong.

Placements: Around 35 students are placed in our batch. Courses like journalism, photography, and desktop publishing are offered in our course. Many students opted for Internshala. Top recruitment companies like NIFT foundation, etc., visit the campus. Top roles offered in our course are a photographer, a journalist, a newspaper publisher, magazines, etc.

Infrastructure: We have a very large library and we can even access it through online mode. Wi-Fi and a large computer lab are available in our college. There are canteens in our college, and the food served is affordable and delicious. The college has a large campus along with a basketball court. There is also a botanical garden.

Faculty: Teachers here are very approachable and helpful. They are always there to guide us. The course curriculum is relevant and helpful to students to shape and prepare them for future job interviews and work. The semester exam is not that difficult if you are attentive during classes

Other: I chose this course because I want to become a journalist. Events and festivals are also organised in our college. The college is very lively and fun to be in. Events organised are better.

Review of St. Anthony's College, Shillong.

Placements: In our course, 30 students got placed. BBC News, Times Now, NAT and GEO are the top recruiters of our college. Roles like a director, news reporter, journalist and photographer are offered. About 50% of the students got internships in different companies, but I don't the company names. Most of them are freelance.

Infrastructure: We have a college library and our own department library, and NE archive is on the process of making it. The college offer Wi-Fi facility to students. There are two college canteens, two sound recording studios and one production studio. The college also provides labs for SC course. I reside at a private hostel, so I don't know about the college hostel.

Faculty: Teachers are highly knowledgeable and highly qualified in our course. They prepare us very well for the industry where we're planning to get in. Besides teaching, they have their other jobs which are very well-known in the city. Teachers and course in this department professional. Teachers train us how to face the hardship of this industry so that we were well prepared when we graduate.

Other: I chose this course because it has many options to work, and it doesn't stick to one particular subject but teach us different subjects per semester. I wish our studio equipment should be highly advanced. Our college conducts many events and co-curriculum activities in many different departments. There are many fests from workshops to food fest.

Great crowd, fests & college week.

Placements: There were no such things as internships or placements for us, especially in the Mass Media department. The college did not help us in getting them, and we had to find opportunities by ourselves. I did not see any placement cell on campus for our department.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure was decent and well-maintained. The canteen was the best part, with three canteens offering affordable prices and a stationery shop inside the campus. There were girls’ and boys’ hostels within a few kilometers. We also had the NE Archive section in the Mass Media department. The campus had a library and auditorium. It had studios, cameras, and other equipment required for practical classes. However, we could not fully utilise the resources from the second year onwards due to COVID.

Faculty: Faculty was good and helpful. There were fewer practical classes than expected. They were strict regarding time, as is typical in the media field. Some professors were biased towards certain students. Our HoD was extremely kind and supportive. We had a heavy workload of assignments each semester, with at least two assignments per week in each subject. We also had theatre classes in the auditorium with many fun activities. We had practicals, internals, and viva alongside written exams each semester. The viva was taken by external invigilators and not by our teachers.
