Don't join this college, otherwise you will regret it for a lifetime too.

Faculty: Teaching quality is absolutely pathetic. Most of the teachers are either unqualified, disinterested, or simply read from slides without any real knowledge. There's zero interaction, no practical exposure, and the faculty simply doesn't care about students' learning.

I'm dissatisfied with poor placements. Teachers are not at all supportive with 0 time management.

Faculty: Teachers are not at all helpful except one or two. It feels like we came to another school they are not at all friendly they make fun of the students and leg pulling. They insults students in front of everyone apart from this they teach very well they are quite knowledgeable.

I am satisfied because of the support provided by the college.

Faculty: The pass percentage is 40%. It is mandatory for students to have 75% attendance to sit in exams. In our time, there are 6 semesters in 3 years. Now, maybe there are 8 semesters in 4 years. Faculty members of this college are very supportive. They mentor and guide us to meet our career goals.

The reasons for choosing Swami Vivekananda Institute of Modern Science.

Faculty: Teachers of our college are highly knowledgeable and very helpful. Their teaching quality is so good and easy to understand. This course makes students industry-ready. Semester exams at the college are a little bit difficult but as the teachers teach us so good, for that we can write easily in exam hall. You have to score minimum 40 out of 100 to pass in a subject.

College is budget friendly and not bad.

Faculty: Faculty members are very good, supportive, and well-qualified and the exam conducting system is very strict and the pass percentage is 40%. The curriculum is circulated by the MAKAUT and the exams are conducted under very strict guidance. But the overall course is useful.

The faculty members are very good in case is but the quality has dropped significantly after 2022.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful if approached properly and knowledgeable too but there might be politics involved in them. Every professor has multiple PhDs. The course curriculum is relevant as it has an industry-ready syllabus and practical knowledge implementation. The semesters are quite hard but if a dedicated student they would pass with flying colors. The pass percentage is 26/27 because the exams are out of 70 marks. After all, we have 4 internal exams which are continuous assessment/CA (common...

Good infrastructure college.

Faculty: Faculty members are good and friendly, but not everyone. It depends on the faculty members and their choices. Our college has a cultural committee group that organizes every event in the college apart from educational ones. Overall, the college is pretty good.

In a budget, from MAKAUT university you can opt for this.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified & teaching quality is good too. The students gather all the basic lab equipments and training to adapt to the industry level. Semester exams are tough as the new syllabus is a vast one. But being within studies doesn't make passing difficult .

One of the best colleges in Kolkata.

Faculty: The faculty members of this college are very helpful and supportive. They take classes regularly and clear up all the doubts even after the classes. They teach every topic very clearly and easily so that all the students can understand. They also suggest us for our better future and guide us in the industry. Also, take class tests frequently. Semester exams are being conducted with a proper invigilator and under CCTV surveillance.

Good faculty members, good infrastructure but no placements or internships are available.

Faculty: All the faculty members are well qualified, knowledgeable and quite helpful. The syllabus is very good. Guards during the exams are very tough and the questions are a little bit easy. From my batch (2021-24) everyone passed in the semester exams. But passing percentage depends on the students.

It is a good college if all you need is a Bachelor’s degree, otherwise don't join it.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. They are helpful with projects and doubts. Their teaching quality is above average. I don't think that the students are made industry ready and the course curriculum is not relevant. The difficulty level of the exams is medium with 35% as the passing percentage.

Great college for placement and learning.

Faculty: Faculty members are very good. They are very experienced and knowledgeable. They are very friendly to us. They arrange many festivals and tournaments at our college. Exams are conducted twice every year, and they are also very challenging. The pass percentage is around 40%.

East or West, our college is the best.

Faculty: Our teachers are so good and very high-quality teachers are available here. They prepare students in a proper way and get them ready for industry interviews. The semester exam is very hard if you do not read properly. The highest percentage is 86 in the semester exam.

Very impressive college and interesting teachers.

Faculty: Teachers are so nice, helpful and quite knowledgeable. Yes, this is a very relevant course. The preparation for the exam is quite difficult; 48% is a passing percentage; the biochemistry is really hard to study; cell biology is quite interesting and enjoyable; the preparation is hard and the practicals are hard.

SVIMS: an average institute under MAKAUT.

Faculty: Faculty members are average in experience, although they are student-friendly. Their teaching quality is not so good. The course curriculum is not according to the requirements of modern biotechnologists. The pass percentage is high here, and they give a decent CGPA to average students.
