Symbiosis Law School was established by Symbiosis Society member S.B. Mujumdar in 1977, forty six years ago. Hostel facilities are available at Symbiosis Law School, Pune but there is no compulsion for a student to live in the hostel.

The choice is completely a student's and if they don't want to stay in the hostel, they can choose to.

Yes, SLS Pune does offer the hostel facilities to students. However, applicants can note that the SLS Pune hostel facility is there for both the female and male students. The hostels are built with high architectural standards and are air-cooled. The complete hostel complex is guarded 24x7 by wardens and guards. The Symbiosis Law accepst a total of 60 students to pursue LLB programme for the academic year 2025. The seats are alloted based on the merit/entrance exam scores. Moreover, the law school may follow the seat reservation policy of the state or central government.  

The minimum required marks for courses offered by SLS Pune differs. The university offers five years integrated BA LLB programme. Students willing to be admitted to the BA LLB programs at SLS Pune must apply for the SLAT test and participate in the Personal Interview stage. The 1^st and 2^nd instalments for SLS Pune BA LLB fees are INR 2,25,500 and INR 2,05,500 respectively.

Talking about the registration stage, candidates applying for the SLAT test would also be required to pay INR 2,250 as registration. This does not include the separate SLS Pune registration fees of INR 1,000 that students applying there must pay.

Symbiosis Law School (SLS) Pune offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Diploma level courses to its students with the admission to the latter being done on the basis of merit in the qualifying exams. Based on the scores attained in the entrance examinations conducted by the college, students for UG and PG levels are given admissions. The two exams are Symbiosis All India Admission Test (AIAT) and Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT).

Symbiosis Law School Pune offers a five-year BA LLB programme at the undergraduate level. The full form of BA LLB is Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Legislative Law. This programme combines Bachelor of Arts courses such as history, sociology, and languages with professional legal knowledge. The BA LLB curriculum is spread across ten semesters.

Students who wish to pursue BA LLB at SLS Pune for the academic year 2025 must take the SLAT 2025 exam. Symbiosis International (Deemed University) conducts SLAT annually for Symbiosis Law School Pune BA LLB admission, and the exam is held in computer-based test mode. In addition to the exam score, candidates must also meet the BA LLB eligibility criteria, which requires completion of Class 12 or equivalent examination from any recognised board with a minimum of 45% marks or equivalent grade (40% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes).
