Absolutely satisfied because of quality training and good placement in 2024.
Placements: Mainly female cadets are placed in good companies, and from a batch of 40 cadets, a total of 25-30 are placed in outside in-house placements, and the rest all are sponsored by GESCO (Great Eastern themselves). Overall, placement is 100%. Also, different kinds of courses are provided, and you will also meet cadets from different states, so a sense of different cultures is also being adapted to you all.
Infrastructure: A good view from rooms, a good playground, a good swimming pool, and good life-saving classes are provided in this college. Good faculty, good food, mess, and canteen are also nice. As compared to other colleges, this college is the best for training purposes.
Faculty: Strict faculty members, study is the most important thing that is to be taken care of. Semester exams are not that much difficult, but the course is new to us and vast, so we need some time to grab. And everyone can't do this course. Only cadets with passion and interest can do this course.
Other: I chose this course because I don't want to do a 9 to 5 job. As I am physically fit and a sportsperson, I usually research careers where I can indulge myself both mentally and physically. And finally, I got this career, which is best for me.

Satisfied with the placements and management of this college.
Placements: Every year, 30–35% of the students get placements at this college in the GME course. The average package offered in our course was between 3-6 LPA. The college has a proper department for placement-related activities. The top recruiters at this college were Bahri, VLCC, Gesco, Anglo Eastern, etc. The top roles offered in the course were operation head, marine engineer, junior engineer, technical team, etc.
Infrastructure: The Great Eastern Institute Of Maritime has a good infrastructure for the GME course. The college has good-quality facilities for the students. Wi-Fi, labs, library, canteen, sports, etc. facilities were available for the students. Hostel facility was available for the students. Sports activities are promoted by the college's management.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified and knowledgeable about the GME course. They were helping each and every student. All the doubts of the students are being cleared by the teachers before the exams. The college course curriculum was relevant, which makes students industry-ready. Exams at the college were not hard to pass.

Best for starting your career.
Placements: More than 70% were placed in campus placements and the rest of the students were given institute sponsorship. I have been in three placements and I was selected by Goodwood Shipping Management, which has VLC, bulk, contained, and chemical tankers.
Infrastructure: When compared to the rest of the top colleges in this field in India, Great Eastern stands first in hostels and infrastructure. For one, there are three persons for officer rankings and four persons for GP ratings, including bathrooms, lockers and study tables. They will provide you with an with an iron box for each room. For laundry, people will come twice a week.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are highly qualified people. They will guide you in everything. They will even listen to your problems that you are facing at the institute. They are very much friendly but not the hostel wardens or PT sir. Coming to exams is a little bit tough.

Placements: The best part about GEIMS is its 100% placement record, which is true. Even if you fail in any subjects, then after clearing it, you'll get a placement for your internship/cadetship. Top companies like Tombs Shipping, Wallem Ship Management, Seaspan, Synergy, Gesco, Goodwood Shipping and many more visit here until you get placed.
Infrastructure: Our campus is elegant. Hostel rooms, labs, classrooms, library and canteen, are also elegant. The food served here is good, and the rooms are comfortable. There are plenty of games and amusement facilities like a gym, table tennis, etc. The best part here is that every Saturday, you can watch any movie in the auditorium on a big screen. But the worst thing is smartphones are not allowed inside the campus, so Wi-Fi facilities are not available.
Faculty: Very experienced captains and chief engineers are the faculty members here, so the knowledge shared by them is enough to pass exams and groom ourselves for the practical industry. You have to study a little hard atleast when exams are going to conduct shortly to pass them. Daily there is a time-restricted schedule, which you have to follow, and anyhow leaves are only provided on medical grounds.
Other: This course is offered with sponsorship, so your internship is secured. I wish smartphones should be allowed inside the campus. Games and few other extracurricular activities are part of campus life. The most exciting event organised here is Naughtica, which is an inter-college event.

It is a wonderful experience to study here.
Placements: In the Great Eastern Institute of Maritime Studies, there is a waiting period of about 6 to 8 months to conduct placements. India's number 1 private sector companies visit here for placements. They make students perform best in interviews. Other companies like BSM, Good Wood, World Tankers, etc., recruit students from GEIMS.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided here are good, well oriented and in a disciplined manner. There is an uninterrupted Wi-Fi facility in the digital library to do assignments and to study on our own. Classrooms have a clear presentation projector system, and classrooms are huge enough to study comfortably. The food served here is also great, and there is a separate schedule every week for the food. The food is good and well clean.
Faculty: Teachers here are captains who teach from their experience and from books. They help us very much in our training. The method of teaching is easily understandable. The syllabus contains all the things for trainee cadets. There are real models of the ship, which makes the cadets understand easily.
Other: There are scholarships, and the fest and other sports events are organised. This course is a basic level for my career as a captain.

It is the best college for maritime training.
Placements: Our college assures 100% placements for all students and has 100% placement record as we join the college with sponsorship letters. The fee for diploma in nautical science ranges from 6.5 lacs. Leading companies like BSM, Goodwood, Fleet Management, World Tankers, Seaspan and Synergy recruit cadets of our course for on-board training.
Infrastructure: There are air-conditioned and spacious classrooms and well set up laboratories. Our college also has a well clean dining area and cafeteria. The medical department is also very good, and a doctor visits the college every day.
Faculty: Our college provides well-experienced faculty members who have worked on-board for years. They are well educated to train us, and they are always available on the campus for all the requirements. They help us with all our needs. All the staff members, including housekeeping service members, are very good to interact with us. So, I am satisfied with them.
