Excellent placements and modern teaching infrastructure throughout are very good.
Placements: 85% of students are placed in this year. The highest salary package offered is 52 LPA, the average salary package offered is 9 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Microsoft, Cisco, Mercedes-Benz, and other top recruiting companies. 40% to 50% of students secure internships at companies like JP Morgan, Fidelity Investments, Samsung, Mercedes-Benz, Infosys, and Oracle. Top roles include system development engineer, web developer, data scientist, and associate software engineer.
Infrastructure: Modern classrooms, high-speed Wi-Fi, secure hostels, hygiene mess food, emergency medical centre, modern gyms, sports complexes. Since the college has two campuses, the North campus and the South campus, the North campus is basically for teaching core courses. The well-designed library is on the South campus.
Faculty: The college has highly qualified teachers, helpful professors, and well-focused coding. The course curriculum is relevant to current industries, semester exams in the college, and a moderate 85 to 90% is a pass percentage. We have to put maximum effort into sensor exams, which are moderate to difficult.
Other: Modern specialisation is high in the CSE course and in high demand in the upcoming years. Strict attendance. Technieks (the grand annual cultural fest) alongside frequent branch-specific hackathons and fests.

It is a very good college with good placement.
Placements: Overall, placement rate for the last year was approximately 74 percent. For top branches like CSE and ISE, the placement rate is higher. The highest package offered last year was 56 LPA. The average was approximately 10.5 LPA. The lowest was around 3.5–4.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Cisco, JPMorgan Chase, Deloitte, and others.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good. Two more buildings are being built to accommodate a higher number of students and for their convenience. A 14-floor hostel is also being constructed and will be ready soon. The hostel quality is very good. As it is a new building. The food is also good.
Faculty: Faculty members are qualified. They possess good subject knowledge. They are approachable and helpful to students. Their teaching quality is excellent. They focus on practical applications rather than just theory. Semester exams are conducted very strictly. Professors are supportive, and the curriculum follows current industry trends.
Other: Being a newer campus, labs and classrooms are generally more modern compared to older institutions.

Good infrastructure, faculty and placements.
Placements: Initially, NIE North Campus had a very good reputation and excellent placements, and it was the top engineering college in Mysore, but over the past few years, its reputation has decreased slightly. The faculty says that it will increase from now on. Currently, NIE is in the top 3 engineering colleges in Mysore, with JSS MYSORE being the top 1.
Infrastructure: The food quality and infrastructure are pretty good. They have libraries that have all the relevant books, and we can just borrow them from the library for a week and then renew them weekly, so we don't have to purchase additional new books. They also have an indoor sports room and a ground where sports activities and events are conducted.
Faculty: Teachers are quite experienced, and they do have good knowledge of their subject. They are supportive, and they clear our doubts by making the concept clear for us. The curriculum is VTU-affiliated, so they follow the standard syllabus. They provide sufficient guidance throughout. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty, although one can score good marks with proper preparation, and the pass percentage is 85%.
Other: I chose B.Tech in CSE course as I'm interested in computer subjects, and the best thing about my course is that it is fascinating because we get to learn about all the new technologies and their background. The only thing that I feel should improve is the hostel building capacity, as it is limited. Apart from that, the rest is good.

It has a modern campus, great placement support, and value for money for software branches.
Placements: I am from the Information Science and Engineering from the 2022-2025 batch. Around 85-90 percent of students got placed in campus placements last year. The highest package offered is 46 LPA and the average package ranges from 8-9 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Deloitte Infosys and Oracle. Students get internships from A. P Moller Fedility Investment etc.
Infrastructure: The North campus has modern labs, Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, and hostels with decent food and facilities. Sports, library, and canteen are shared with the main campus. Hygiene and cleanliness are well-maintained. Mess food is hygienic, but becomes repetitive over time. Canteen options are limited but affordable. Sports facilities like cricket, basketball, and the gym are available on the main campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified and helpful. The course curriculum is relevant and updated as per industry trends. Exams are moderately tough. 90% is the pass rate, and autonomy helps keep course content fresh. Exams are moderately difficult, with fair paper-setting and internal marks distribution.
Other: The college offers good ROI with strong placements and infrastructure at a total fee of around 4.8 lakhs. It is affordable compared to private colleges with similar placement outcomes. There is a lively student crowd and a good mix of clubs. Fests like Technieks and hackathons keep the campus engaging.

The review of my college.
Placements: Around 70% of students from our course are placed, mostly in web development and basic spring boot roles. The packages range from 3 LPA to 10-12 LPA, depending on the company. Top recruiters include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, and Capgemini. About 60-70% of students also landed internships through companies and platforms like Internshala and LinkedIn. Common roles offered are web developer, Java developer, and full-stack developer.
Infrastructure: The facilities are quite decent. We have decent to low-level (if more people are using) Wi-Fi, decent labs, smart classrooms, and a library that covers most of what we need. The hostel rooms are very good, it does the job, and are better than other colleges in the state. The food in the mess and canteen is okay, some days it's good, other days not so much, but you get used to it.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are pretty helpful. Some are really great and know their stuff well, while others are okay. Overall, the teaching is good enough if you pay attention and put in some effort. The course is quite relevant and gives you a decent idea of what the industry expects, especially if you're into software roles. Exams aren't too tough. You can pass easily if you study, but there's usually that one subject each semester that gives everyone a bit of a hard time.

You can consider NIE in COMEDK after RVCE and MS Ramihya.
Placements: I am a second year student so I don't have the placement statistics for this year. For internship here only few companies are coming in ending of 4th semester, one most famous is JPMC. For placement, you have to build skill by yourself. You can't depend on college and also make your contacts.
Infrastructure: Campus area is not that much big on North campus. There are 2 buildings only so campus area is just ok. Hostel infrastructure is good but hostel food is just okay. If you are living in South hostel then you have to pay extra Rs 25,000 for bus which is not worth according to me.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and helpful (not all), they will help you with your curriculum subject and other matters also. The curriculum is just okay, not that much relevant like they are teaching DSA in C. Exam papers are good neither easy nor tough, if you attend class you can score more than 9 CGPA.
Other: If you live in south hostel you have to travel daily 30 KM which will become normal for you after 1st semester. Here, people live in hostel for 2 year after that they take PG near north hostel which will save time and money. Do not expect any campus life. Fests are just okay.
