It has a modern campus, great placement support, and value for money for software branches.
Placements: I am from the Information Science and Engineering from the 2022-2025 batch. Around 85-90% of students got placed in campus placements last year. The highest package offered is 46 LPA, and the average package ranges from 8-9 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Deloitte, Infosys, and Oracle. Students get internships from A. P Moller, Fedility Investment, etc.
Infrastructure: The North campus has modern labs, Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, and hostels with decent food and facilities. Sports, library, and canteen are shared with the main campus. Hygiene and cleanliness are well-maintained. Mess food is hygienic, but becomes repetitive over time. Canteen options are limited but affordable. Sports facilities like cricket, basketball, and the gym are available on the main campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified and helpful. The course curriculum is relevant and updated as per industry trends. Exams are moderately tough. 90% is the pass rate, and autonomy helps keep course content fresh. Exams are moderately difficult, with fair paper-setting and internal marks distribution.
Other: The college offers good ROI with strong placements and infrastructure at a total fee of around 4.8 lakhs. It is affordable compared to private colleges with similar placement outcomes. There is a lively student crowd and a good mix of clubs. Fests like Technieks and hackathons keep the campus engaging.

The college has a well-equipped campus, supportive faculty, and active student life.
Placements: The college has a nearly 91% placement record till this year. For placements, there is a placement department and cell, which conducts mock interviews, mock group discussions, profiling activity, etc. The college also provides placements for Global companies like JPMC, Juspay, Pure Storage, etc.
Infrastructure: The college offers excellent infrastructure for all courses, including well-equipped computer labs, smart classrooms, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a well-stocked library. Hostel facilities are excellent, with regular maintenance and adequate cleanliness. The food quality in the mess is above average. The canteen provides better options. Basic medical facilities are available on campus. Sports infrastructure is good, with access to both indoor and outdoor games, promoting a healthy campus life.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. They deliver concepts with good clarity. The course curriculum is mostly relevant and covers core industry-required subjects, though some updates could improve its alignment with current trends. Semester exams are moderately difficult, focusing on understanding rather than rote learning. The overall pass percentage is high, with proper preparation ensuring success.
Other: The campus has 24x7 Wi-Fi, tech fests, and active coding clubs. Students enjoy a vibrant cultural mix, startup exposure, and a green environment. Alumni support is strong, and the late-night canteen is a favorite among hostel students during exams.

Decent placements, limited facilities, and dull, boring college life
Placements: Approximately 90% of students secured placements. The highest package was 42 LPA, and the lowest was 4 LPA. The average was around 10 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Infosys, Wipro, and Capgemini. Roles were of software developer, data analyst, and system engineer.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are quite basic, honestly. There are a few classrooms in the north campus, and sometimes classes are held in the lab due to a shortage of classrooms. Sports facilities are a big disappointment, with only a few options. The canteen food is average, with 1-2 items that are actually tasty. The hostel mess food is particularly bad, making you avoid it entirely. It's so unappetizing that even South Indians struggle with it, let alone North Indians. The food in the North campus is a bit better— edible and sometimes tasty as well.
Faculty: The faculties at NIE are a mixed bag. While some teachers are helpful and engage well with students, there are others who fail miserably at teaching. The curriculum, unfortunately, is far from making students industry-ready, but to be honest, that's an issue across many colleges in India. The plus point is the semester exams, which are quite manageable and chilled. You will have plenty of time to focus on your side hustle.
Other: I chose ISE primarily due to my interest in the tech field. The best aspect of the college is the clubs, which can help in networking opportunities and provide a diverse campus crowd. However, the college falls short in many areas. Fests are very rare, and the north campus doesn't feel like a college campus but just a set of buildings. The curriculum could be significantly improved to get the students ready for the real-world challenges. The college timings (9 to 5) are also a downside, and it leaves us with little time for hobbies or things for personal interest. A more relaxed and flexible schedule will benefit students.

    The review of my college.
Placements: Around 70% of students from our course are placed, mostly in web development and basic spring boot roles. The packages range from 3 LPA to 10-12 LPA, depending on the company. Top recruiters include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, and Capgemini. About 60-70% of students also landed internships through companies and platforms like Internshala and LinkedIn. Common roles offered are web developer, Java developer, and full-stack developer.
Infrastructure: The facilities are quite decent. We have decent to low-level (if more people are using) Wi-Fi, decent labs, smart classrooms, and a library that covers most of what we need. The hostel rooms are very good, it does the job, and are better than other colleges in the state. The food in the mess and canteen is okay, some days it's good, other days not so much, but you get used to it.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are pretty helpful. Some are really great and know their stuff well, while others are okay. Overall, the teaching is good enough if you pay attention and put in some effort. The course is quite relevant and gives you a decent idea of what the industry expects, especially if you're into software roles. Exams aren't too tough. You can pass easily if you study, but there's usually that one subject each semester that gives everyone a bit of a hard time.

You can consider NIE in COMEDK after RVCE and MS Ramihya.
Placements: I am a second year student so I don't have the placement statistics for this year. For internship here only few companies are coming in ending of 4th semester, one most famous is JPMC. For placement, you have to build skill by yourself. You can't depend on college and also make your contacts.
Infrastructure: Campus area is not that much big on North campus. There are 2 buildings only so campus area is just ok. Hostel infrastructure is good but hostel food is just okay. If you are living in South hostel then you have to pay extra Rs 25,000 for bus which is not worth according to me.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and helpful (not all), they will help you with your curriculum subject and other matters also. The curriculum is just okay, not that much relevant like they are teaching DSA in C. Exam papers are good neither easy nor tough, if you attend class you can score more than 9 CGPA.
Other: If you live in south hostel you have to travel daily 30 KM which will become normal for you after 1st semester. Here, people live in hostel for 2 year after that they take PG near north hostel which will save time and money. Do not expect any campus life. Fests are just okay.

Everything you need to know about The National Institute of Engineering Mysuru.
Placements: My batch is currently not placed, as we are in the second year. However, keeping the recession period aside, the placements at my college are pretty good. The average package for ISE is ₹13 LPA, whereas that for CSE is around ₹12.8 LPA. The top recruiting companies include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Samsung, and Mercedes-Benz. Students secure internships at companies like Goldman Sachs and Fidelity Investments. The top roles offered are Software Developers and Data Analysts.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is pretty average, considering there is not much outside the North Campus where our classes are held. In contrast, the South Campus is in the city, making things more accessible. The hostel mess and the hostel infrastructure are again average for what you can expect from a hostel.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified and knowledgeable but can be strict regarding attendance and the curriculum. The faculty tries to prepare us for the industry by doing their best. The internal assessments are generally at a medium level but can be mostly easy. On the other hand, the semester-end exams are above medium level.
Other: I chose this course because I was able to clear the cutoff and wanted to enter the software field due to my interest in it. I would like to see improvement in the teachers' leniency. The events hosted are mostly tech-related, and there is also an annual cultural fest organized, which is at an average level.
