The calm atmosphere and academic quality make it a good choice for science students.

Placements: Placement cell is active and brings companies like TCS, Wipro, and Sutherland. Some students also get internship opportunities during their final semester. For biochemistry on campus placement opportunities are usually limited. Most of them are prepared for higher studies.

Infrastructure: I have good experience at TKM. The campus is clean and good with a modern library and labs. The classrooms are well-maintained and have TVs. The biochemistry labs are well-equipped for practical and research work. The canteen provides good quality food.

Faculty: Teachers are friendly, supportive, and knowledgeable. They explain concepts clearly and are always ready to guide students, especially during practical work. They support students with extra sessions during exams. In some semesters, the exams are tough.

Other: There are good opportunities for extracurricular activities like cultural events, science exhibitions, and fests.

I am absolutely satisfied because of better infrastructure and faculty.

Placements: The actual number of students placed last year is unknown. But in my department, 4 students got placed in IT companies with very low salary packages. Companies offer 15,000-20,000 per month. The placements are for degree-based positions, and there are no placements particularly for Biochemistry students.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is too good compared to other non-professional aided colleges in Kerala. We have completely smart classes with high-definition projectors and so on. The library is also well-maintained with almost all types of books. It is one of the biggest libraries in Kollam district. Most non-professional aided colleges in Kerala do not provide hostel facilities, but our college has excellent hostel facilities, though the food is not always good. The canteen is small, mostly offering snacks and ice cream. Complete meals are not always available, but they will provide them if we order beforehand. There are sports teams and clubs, but they are not too active.

Faculty: Teachers are absolutely helpful and, of course, highly qualified. All teachers are doctorate holders and have proper knowledge about their subjects. They are helpful and work together for the betterment of students' studies. Biochemistry is comparatively hard to study, and the exams are totally unpredictable as my college is under Kerala University.

Other: I chose this course only because I heard it had many job opportunities, but it is completely a myth. Opportunities will be available only if we have post-graduation. My course does not have textbooks for core courses, so textbooks can make my course better. My college barely conducts two events a year. Overall campus vibe is good but very small in area.
