There is no such way to get the direct admission in TMI. After it's affiliation from IMU, the Institute has made mandatory to appear for the entrance tests conducted by the college itself. Candidates must clear the entrance tests along with other eligibilities to take admission into TMI. Admission through donation or other sources is a big no. After qualifying for IMUCET you need to appear for counselling. You need to register online for the programmes offered by IMU and its campuses. The allotment of seats will be done on the basis of ranks secured by students in the exam. The IMUCET counselling will be conducted for candidates to score the cut-off marks after the IMUCET exam. Eligible candidates can get admission through IMUCET after qualifying for the exam. Before taking admission to any of the courses, the candidates are advised to apply for a passport. 

The TMI BSc curriculum is divided into three years which are further split into six semesters. Being a private college, the students can feel that the fee is a little bit high but the college also offers an option to get a fee waiver by the way of scholarships. The modes of Tolani Maritime Institute course admissions are offline and online. Admission to various postgraduate and undergraduate courses is based on merit, entrance exam scores, Personal Interview and medical examination rounds. The IMU CET online application form is expected to be released soon. The official date for application form and other events will be announced by the Indian Martime University. Candidates can apply for IMU CET 2026 through online mode only. The link is made available on IMU’s website. The IMU CET online application form consists of three portions:

Candidates have to fill in these three portions. Once the payment is successful, the candidate’s dashboard will appear, from which they can download the filled-in application.

To get admission in ETO course at TMI, candidates must pass Class 12 with minimum 60% aggregate in PCM and 50% aggregate in English as subjects. They also need to get a UG degree of 4-year degree with 60% aggregate Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. Candidates' age should not be more than 30 years on the date of commencement of training, as prescribed in the Merchant Shipping (Medical Examination) Rules.
