B.Tech. in Computer Science - Batch of 2027
3.2

This college is average and good for students.
Placements: I heard that companies like Infosys and Bajaj come and give an average package. Different roles like software engineer, developer, and data analyst depend on the student's skills. I don't have that much knowledge about the package, but the last package was 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: This college is great, and it has modern labs, library, and classrooms. Hostel facilities are also average, and medical facilities are available on campus. College has sports and games facilities too, which is great. They have a great ground for every game.
Faculty: Teachers are supportive, helpful, and qualified, and teaching quality is also good, making students industry-ready. The passing percentage is the same as that of other colleges. Teachers focus on every student and help us with guidance, and attendance criteria is mandatory.
Other: I chose B.Tech because I want to be a software engineer.

UCER - A better average college.
Placements: Placement rates vary, but typically around 70-80% of students in my course get placed. The highest package offered is around 25 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average is about 6 LPA - 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and a few startups. Around 50-60% of students secured internships, primarily with these companies and some others like Amazon and Flipkart. Top roles offered include software developer, business analyst, and data analyst.
Infrastructure: Our course offers decent facilities. Wi-Fi is reliable across campus. Labs are well-equipped. Classrooms are modern with projectors. Library is extensive, with plenty of study space. Hostel facilities are basic but clean. Food in the mess is average, with a variety of options. Canteen offers quick bites. Medical facilities are basic, with a clinic on campus. Sports facilities include a gym, basketball court, and grounds for cricket and football. Overall, it's functional and meets basic needs.
Faculty: Teachers are generally helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good, with a mixture of lectures, projects, and practicals. The curriculum is relevant and includes industry trends, making students quite industry-ready. Semester exams are challenging but fair. Pass percentage is around 70-80%, encouraging students to strive for better grades.
Other: I chose this course because it is trending. This college is near my hometown and has decent placement records.

Good infrastructure, supportive faculty, decent placements, but needs stronger industry exposure.
Placements: Placement percentage is 75%. The highest package is 9.50 LPA. Average package is 4.50 LPA. Top recruiters (CSE) are Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Chegg India, and BYJU's. 70% of students got internships in companies like IBM and Wipro. Top roles offered are software engineer/developer, system engineer, programmer analyst, project engineer, and cloud engineer.
Infrastructure: Our college has full campus Wi-Fi, modern classrooms, more than 20 labs, 30,000+ books in library, and digital access. It has well-equipped mechanical shops, seminar halls, and 2000-seats auditorium. Separate hostels are available for boys and girls (AC/non-AC), furnished rooms, Wi-Fi, gym, good electricity/water. Mess and canteen food quality is average but hygienic. Canteen is available for variety. We have on-campus clinic, 24X7 ambulance, and tie-ups with nearby hospitals. It has courts (basketball, volleyball, badminton, tennis), gym, and indoor games. There are more than 20 extra buses for transport.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and supportive. Teaching quality is good for theory. They not only focus on skills. Curriculum is based on AKTU syllabus, relevant but needs extra skills for the industry. Exams are moderately difficult and also easy with your preparation. Around 90-95% of students clear every semester.
Other: I chose CSE because of my interest in coding, problem-solving, and technology. We need more industry-oriented training and advanced coding culture. But now college is improving for this. Extracurricular activities are conducted like sports (basketball, volleyball, cricket), coding clubs, etc.

An average engineering college.
Placements: I am from the B.Tech CSE batch (2022-26) with about 120 students. In our senior batch, 72% of students got placed. The highest package was 12 LPA, the lowest was 3 LPA, and the average was 5.5 LPA. Top recruiters included Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Cognizant, Accenture, and Tech Mahindra, along with a few startups. About 65% secured internships through campus or off-campus drives in companies like Infosys, Wipro, and tech startups, focusing on software and web/app development. Common roles offered were software engineer, associate engineer, system analyst, QA engineer, and data analyst.
Infrastructure: Our CSE department has computer labs with high-speed internet, projectors, and updated software. Classrooms are spacious with smart boards, and Wi-Fi is available campus-wide. The library offers books, journals, and e-resources. Hostels have basic amenities, and the mess food is average but hygienic. The canteen serves snacks and meals. Medical care is provided through a health center with a doctor on call. Sports facilities include a playground, indoor games, and a gym. Overall, the infrastructure is decent for academics, activities, and student needs.
Faculty: Teachers in our CSE department are helpful and knowledgeable, often guiding students beyond the syllabus. Teaching quality is good, with a mix of theory and practical learning. The curriculum is moderately relevant to industry needs but requires additional skill-building through projects and certification. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty, focusing on understanding rather than rote learning, and with regular study, most students clear them without much trouble. The overall pass percentage in our department is around 90%, as faculty provide adequate support and notes to help students perform well. Industry readiness depends largely on individual effort alongside the course.
Other: I chose CSE for my interest in technology. The best parts are practical learning and placement opportunities. Improvement is needed in advanced labs. Campus has lively fests, a supportive crowd, good connectivity, and scholarships, with active extracurricular and cultural events year-round.

Review of United College of Engineering and Research.
Placements: I am a CSE student, and I guess approximately 60-70% of students got placement in the CS and IT sector. The highest package is 9.5 LPA at Infosys, and the lowest package is 3.25 LPA at HCL Tech. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Accenture, HCL Tech, etc., visit our campus for placements. Roles offered are DSE, SP, and SE at Infosys, etc.
Infrastructure: Most of the classrooms in our college consist of AC and projectors, which are used by our professors for the purpose of teaching. Our college consist of one of the biggest libraries in the state. The quality of facilities in hostel is average, and the quality of food is also average. Food is provided on a weekly basis, with different food on different days.
Faculty: Most of the teachers and professors in my college are highly educated and knowledgeable. They help us by providing offline resources and help us with the syllabus and course. They also helps us practically, as they have industry-level experience. Our Semester exams are quite hard because we are required to write too much to get good marks.
Other: I chose this course because it is trending, and I chose this college because it is local for me.

When entering college, one must steadily keep gaining knowledge and skills!
Placements: Before last year, the percentage of students placed was around 34/870. But by this time, due to an unbanned by the company, the results came out astonishingly at 540/930 in the CS IT department only. Most of them were placed in sales due to a lack of proper company offers, but the average was 2.4 LPA. And it was of teaching, but sales ones got an initial package of around 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are great, with a good library and available labs throughout the campus. The teachers will help you, and if one doesn't, there are options available. They are humble but strict, and the goal of understanding will be met. Talking about the hostel, it's good, but the food is okay; over time, you have to manage or become addicted. One thing is for sure: they won’t let you sleep on an empty stomach. The management team and their manner are admirable, along with the faculty members.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful because there are at least 2-3 teachers per subject. So, you won't have any problem understanding. On the honesty side, DSA and the basic practice of the language of code as the main language are not relevant for being industry-ready. Even for entry-level jobs, if one wants to be ready, then he/she should gain adequate knowledge from the environment and seniors and upskill themselves.
Other: Please, for the students, be aware of your surroundings and technologies, and prepare yourself because the college will only focus on its money bank, not specifically on upgrading you. They will give lessons and judge you, but you have to grow even at a slow rate. You must study by other means, like YouTube, GFG, LeetCode, Google, Microsoft, etc. But keep in mind that internal marks must be maintained here for extra percentage in semesters, for which you have to be regular.
