Reviews of University Institute of Applied Management Sciences.

Placements: Placements are average. The average package offered is around 4 LPA. The highest package offered is 7 LPA, and the lowest is somewhat around 2.5 LPA. Companies like HDFC Limited, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Naukri.Com, IndusInd Bank, Oyo and many more visit the campus. Around 80% of the students got placed. Internships are good.

Infrastructure: The college has well-equipped classrooms and computer labs. The library has required books and is easily accessible. Wi-Fi facility is really good. The canteen is average. Hostels are really good and spacious.

Faculty: Most of the faculty members are biased. They are very partial and sometimes say demeaning words to the students. They take complete advantage of their position and are not helpful. Such teachers should be excluded as they just spread negativity. Rest of the staff members are good and helpful. The course curriculum is good and easy.

Punjab University is really good.

Placements: The chances of getting placed are more from Punjab University. The quality of education is very good as the alumni base is very strong. Many students have got placed in the reputed organizations and were offered with the maximum package of 15 LPA. The placement cell of Punjab University is very active.

Infrastructure: Punjab University has a very good infrastructure. All the facilities are available inside the university. Punjab University has over two sectors in Chandigarh, which are very large in area. Every department has huge space, and there is a lot of space available for parking.

Faculty: All the faculty members and staff of the university are well-educated and well-experienced with good teaching skills. The maximum member of staff is polite and helpful to the students. Punjab University provides good quality of education. I refer Punjab University to the students to have a better education in life.

The faculty is good and the college has a well established infrastructure in the department.

Placements: About 60/100 students got placed in the college, i.e., 60% of the students got placed. The minimum package offered Rs.3.5 lakhs while the maximum package is Rs. 6.5 lakhs. The companies like the HDFC, Airtel, Axis Bank, etc., have visited the campus for the placement offering the roles of an HR executive, salesperson, etc. 50% of the placements was via campus placement, but I am not aware of the stipend.

Infrastructure: There is a Well-established infrastructure on the campus, and all facilities are present regarding education, health, games, etc. The quality of the labs and the classrooms are very good. The food available in the canteen is also better. It has the best hostel rooms, but not many infrastructure problems are found in the campus.

Faculty: The experience with the faculty of the department is very good. They are helpful in every aspect of the student life issues. Basically, the curriculum related knowledge is provided along with it, the practical implications tend towards learning. The faculty-student ratio is also about 1:10. There is not much industrial exposure in the college, and the course curriculum is not much useful.

Other: College is a part of prime institution Panjab University that is one of the top universities in Asia. UIAMS is a new department which can excel and can become one of the top B-schools in India. The amount of funds in the form of tuition fee are immense, but unfortunately due to laziness of the department it has not been exploited to its best. The department possess great staff and students, who can take the department to new levels. A collective effort from both is needed immediately. The students too have failed to reach out their maximum potential. In recent years, the efforts have been improving marginally from both sides. And I hope soon the scenario will change, and UIAMS will grow.

A Bachelor's or Master Degree in any discipline of Panjab University or of any other university which has been recognized by the syndicate as equivalent thereto with not less than mentioned marks in the aggregate. Provided that in case of candidates having Bachelor's degree of the University through Modern Indian Languages [Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi (Gurumukhi Script)] and/or in a classical language (Sanskrit/ Persian/Arabic) or degree of any other university obtained in the same manner recognized by the Syndicate, 50% marks in the aggregate shall be calculated by taking into account full percentage of marks in all the papers including Language excluding the additional optional paper, English and the elective subject taken together. 5% Concession is admissible in eligibility marks to SC/ST/BC/PwD Candidates.
