It is an average college but very good university.
Placements: Placements were average. The placement cell was active and improving a lot, but still, it needed an improvement, especially in retail and HR fields, with more focus on internships and training. Salary packages are easy to get with little effort here.
Infrastructure: Our college was a new building which was recently constructed on the south campus of Punjab University with good spacious classrooms and location. It was easily accessible to various parts of Chandigarh and the main campus through vehicles with digital boards and a library.
Faculty: Faculty members were not very good. Students had to manage on their own as they were not interested in students. However, ample environment and curriculum were there for self-growth. They were not very strict, which would help for holistic growth and development of skills and knowledge.

Placements: The top roles offered by UIAMS, Panjab University are generally of Sales and Marketing. Apart from that there are roles offered in Human Resource, Operations and Finance. About half of the students generally get placed by campus other half involve students not getting placed, getting placed from outside sources or handling their own family business.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of campus is decent. Apart from Wi-Fi the college has all other amenities. Activities are also conducted from time to time providing full learning related to managerial aspects. Hostels are from the Panjab University campus and not from the college itself which are bad.
Faculty: The top roles offered by UIAMS, Panjab University are generally of Sales and Marketing. Apart from that there are roles offered in Human Resource, Operations and Finance. The college is valuable for non CAT students who are searching for MBA college near Chandigarh.
Placements: The starting salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. Approximately 70% of the students got placed. Top recruiters are Phone Pe, HDFC Ltd, HDFC Life, Crescendo, etc. Students got an internship at Kotak Life, Future Generali, SBI MET Life, HDFC and Peacock Solar.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities are very good. There are smart classes, proper library, Wi-Fi and canteen. Sports events are conducted by different cells and organised by various mentors.
Faculty: Faculty members have a friendly approach and help students in career growth. The course curriculum is very appropriate, according to the field or course selected. Students get to know more about the industry experience through case studies and webinars by different alumni.

Good placements, infrastructure and curriculum
Placements: The placements are good . The highest package was 7.5 Lacs in our batch. Various activities like industrial visits, competitions, etc. are conducted by the placement cell on a regular basis. Many informational guest lectures are also conducted. Reputed companies like Decathelon, HDFC Bank, etc. are regular recruiters.
Infrastructure: The department has a computer lab, a library, canteen and well equipped classrooms. The parking is spacious. Free Wi-Fi facility is provided to all the students. Gym facility, swimming pool and hostel facility are some of the other facilities provided to the students.
Faculty: The faculty is highly qualified. They all have done PhD. Case studies are important part of the curriculum at uiams. SNAP tests, presentations, assignments, mid semester tests, etc. are conducted for each subject. Each student is also supposed to do research work.

Satisfied with the faculty members but need to improve the placement opportunities for the students.
Placements: The placements in our college are average. A student is getting a package on the average of 3 to 4 LPA. But still there are many more companies to come in our campus, and we are hoping for a better package and good placements. The highest package has gone to a hospital and pharma student in Zycus in Gurgaon of 6.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is at par with the other institutes. It looks like a good MBA college and facilities are up to the mark. Every year, we have our annual sporting event named "Ranbhoomi" in which our department participates in the various games. Our campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled, and we are easily accessible to the various basic facilities.
Faculty: The faculty members of our college are above par, and the teachers are well-qualified in their subjects. Some teachers are doing their PhD from which they help us in doing our research work. The syllabus of our course is well-suited according to the courses provided to us. They are cooperative and helpful in every problem a student is facing.

Overall, a very good college, curriculum needs to be worked upon.
Placements: Placements are very good in this college. I myself got placed in Jaro Education company with a package of 4 Lacs in Mumbai. Being a marketing student, I can say that companies who come for marketing students place good offer to them providing them a great start for their career. Even the senior batch who opted for marketing are now earning very good. The average package last year was 3-4 Lacs. The placement cell of the college is run by placement officer along with PRs coordinate with big companies like Axis Bank, HDFC, Biocon, Dabur, Infotech, Kapsons and much more and even students have successfully been placed there.
Infrastructure: The college has one of the best infrastructures in comparison to other departments. Every classroom is being provided with AC facility and projectors. Well cleaned floors and corridors. The college has a facility of free Wi-Fi 24/7 for PU students. Every medical facility is there in case of emergencies. Even college has its own library and a separate reading room for students. Computer labs are equipped with the latest computer with the latest technology.
Faculty: The course curriculum has always been an essential element while studying MBA which I felt is a little less as being compared to what is taught in other B-schools. It can be modified as per emerging markets requirements. The faculty is very knowledgeable and experienced. Always supportive and helpful to every student.

Recommended for the students who are looking for a sector specific MBA.
Placements: The placements are decent with a dedicated teachers and students body making it better year after year. The average placements range from Rs. 5 LPA to Rs. 5.5 LPA. And if you can stand out from the crowd, you can bag a much better package as some big brands do visit the campus. I would advise you to keep an eye on the off-campus placements as well.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is above average. It is a recently built department and has some updated facilities. All the necessary tools and facilities required in an MBA classroom are provided though not much provision is there for sports or extracurricular activities. The classrooms are decent, but the department lacks an auditorium.
Faculty: The retail sector is booming undoubtedly, and hence this specialised course in the retail domain certainly provides an edge to the students who are looking for a career in this respective sector. Besides the general MBA curriculum, the course structure has added some subjects that are related to the retail industry. The faculty is well experienced, cooperative and is working to produce some better leaders for tomorrow.

Satisfied with the college and the brand name of the Panjab University.
Placements: The placements are not good enough, but they are of a decent level considering the packages and the returns on the investment. Expect them to increase in the coming years in the future and also hoping for more finance-related companies and opportunities. For this purpose, the placement cell needs to be active and take the initiative quickly and adequately.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent enough, and proper facilities are provided to the students including the projectors, AC classrooms, Wi-Fi computer labs and a library. The campus also has enough parking space which adds to its advantages. There are hostels available for students coming from outside Chandigarh.
Faculty: The faculty is good, and the course is also up to the mark. The teachers are competent enough and are very cooperative with the students in solving their doubts. Also, they understand the needs of an MBA student and proceed along with that approach. They are helpful and supportive in all manners.

Yes the university does offer BE(business economics) but it does not have any course for b.sc in computer science but it does offer BCA course.

See it is upto time to time and depends on the condition of the industry. so if you want me to be honest, it is good. say 5-7 Lakh per annum that is only working in Chandigarh which is a very good amount if you are a local person.

If you are a graduate in any field of science or commerce, you are eligible to apply for MBA .
for eg. B.Tech, B.com, BBA, BCA, B.Sc, pharma,hospital, etc.
also you have to give the paper of MET and you should have a min. of 60% in your graduation.

See what you have to understand is that GD/PI play a very small but crucial role in your merit. yes you have to prepare for your GD and PI.

1. try to know about the current topics like budget , international news etc.
2 get knowledge about management issue that are prevailing in the industry.

your MET paper weighs 85% of the total and the GD and Personal interview combined is 15%. combining the score of both and then the final merit list is prepared.
