Master of Laws (LLM) is a one-year full-time postgraduate programme in Law which is specialised course offered by Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Eligibility Criteria
A person who has passed one of the following examinations shall be eligible after qualifying the entrance test to join the first semester class of the LL.M. Course:-
(a) LL.B.3 years Degree/B.A.LL.B./B.Com.LL.B. 5 years degree examination of this University with minimum 55% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ST/BC candidates); or
(b) Any equivalent examination of another University recognised by the Syndicate for this purpose.
Admission Details
Admission to LL.M course shall be on the basis of an Entrance Test conducted by the Panjab University. The merit will be calculated as under:-
1) Entrance test=80%
2) Academic Marks =20%

- Ba LLB. ( HONS ) - 4.8 L ( Eligibility -12th Examination Passed with minimum 50% Marks . And also Supports Entrance - PU UGLAW
- B.Com LLB - 4.8 L, Eligibility - 10+2 with minimum 50% and in entrance -PU UGLAW
- LLM - 1.1L, Eligibility - Graduation with 55% marks and Exams passed - PU-CET (PG)

Panjab University will hold PU-B.A./B.Com.LL.B. (Hons.) 5 years Integrated Course Entrance Test for the 2026 session soon. Students can check the official website for more updates on the same.
Total marks will be 100 for the same. As per the last year cut off, General Candidates must get 55 marks in
