CRSU was formerly known as Kurukshetra University Post Graduate Regional Centre and, was established in 2014 by the Government of Haryana. The University is recognised by the UGC and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities. The University has a total of six faculty offering PG programmes. The University has adopted six schools in Jind District, namely Government Senior Sec. School, Rajpura, Kasturbha Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Safa, Government Senior Sec. School, Bibipur, Govt.
