The best part is that it is located between the city and the forest.
Placements: In our course, there is a batch of 70 students. The highest package is 25 LPA, and the lowest is 5 LPA. Even big companies like Amazon invite students for internships. With a CGPA of 8.9, they get good internship opportunities and gain valuable knowledge from these experiences.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good. Wi-Fi facilities are excellent, and the labs are well-maintained. The library is full of books. The food in the hostel is very good. The view is amazing, and the best part is the greenery everywhere. Shops are located near the hostel, and there are also 3-4 police booths near the hostel and college.
Faculty: Teachers are well-educated, with some from NIT. Their behaviour is very good, and they treat us like we are their own children. The course is very interesting and prepares students to be industry-ready. The semesters are difficult, and the pass percentage is 45%.
Other: In this course, a wide number of opportunities are available in the government field. The syllabus should be renewed. There are many events and scholarship opportunities as well.

Really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: 70 percent got placed according to their skills. The highest package being offered is 8 LPA and the average package is 2.5 LPA. Companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, etc. Top roles offered will depend on the skills you have by learning languages, coding, and doing internships, e.g., You can be a JE or a Software Engineer.
Infrastructure: The labs are in good condition, and the Wi-Fi is good. The building has four floors, including labs, classrooms, library, etc. The campus library is small, but the main university library is good. Medical facilities are also provided. Food in the canteen is also not bad.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful in every possible way, well-qualified, and extremely knowledgeable. The teaching quality can be rated as 4 stars out of 5. The semester exams' difficulty level is average. The pass percentage is 40 percent. The course curriculum is relevant.
Other: To have my career in a productive line makes me choose this course. Different and a number of things can be the source of knowledge to a mind, which is the best thing about the course.

Dissatisfied with the placements and infrastructure.
Placements: In my course, around 20 percent of students are placed. The highest package offered was around 12 LPA, and the least was around 2.4 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Samsung, Intel, Havells, etc. Around 30 percent of students get internships. The top roles offered were system analyst and telecom engineer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is not very good. The campus is very small. The labs are not maintained properly. Well-equipped equipment is not present. The library is present and is quite good, and books can be issued easily. The hostel facilities are not available in this college. PGs are available nearby, but students have to pay a lot of fees, and the quality of food there is okay, and the mess is quite nice, and there are very few sports facilities in the college, and the college has its own ground.
Faculty: Teachers here are not highly qualified and knowledgeable. They just come to deliver the lectures. The syllabus and curriculum are not at all relevant and don't make students industry-ready. Passing exams here is easy, and the paper is set here in the college. The pass percentage is around 33 percent.
Other: I choose this course because I love this branch of electronics; it suits my interests best. The best thing about my course is making different things and circuits and chips. A better curriculum should be there to make it more interesting and industry ready. Every year, Nith Hillfair is organized, and singers are invited. Every student gets a chance to showcase their talent. Scholarships are provided to students. Extracurricular activities are there, but students here only study.

Poor infrastructure and placement.
Placements: The placement record of the college is poor. Out of 66 students, only 7-8 students get placed. The average package offered is 2.4 LPA with the highest package being 8 LPA, offered by companies like Infosys, Wipro and TCS. Hardly any students get internships. The top roles offered are in web development.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is below average. Labs are not maintained properly, and essential instruments for learning are unavailable. The library is decent for issuing books, and classrooms are nice. However, there are no hostels for students. On the brighter side, the sports facilities are good, with a big ground, and there are various clubs that students can join based on their preferences.
Faculty: The faculty here is not well-qualified. Most teachers just read slides and move on. The curriculum is outdated and not helpful in preparing students for the industry. Exams are very easy, and students often secure an 8 CGPA by studying just a week before exams.
Other: I chose this course because I had no other choice. The best thing about my course is its potential to grow in the future similar to computer science. Yet, it would be better if they focused more on practical learning rather than rote learning. Scholarships are rarely provided to students. On a positive note, the annual fests like Utkarsh are very enjoyable and well-organized.

Good for IT and CSE branch, bad for CE and ECE.
Placements: Placement in UIT is limited. They have good placement in IT and CSE, but they have a low rate of placement in my trade, i.e., civil department CE, which was introduced about 4 years ago in UIT, so they have low placement in UIT. Top packages are grabbed by CSE students.
Infrastructure: In workshops, there is limited equipment and cannot fulfil the requirements of civil workshop equipment. There are no proper skilled teachers for teaching here. There are no hostel facilities, and there is no campus of the University Institute of Technology.
Faculty: Some teachers are qualified and skilled, but some of them do not know how to teach properly. I am currently studying in the 3rd semester. My 1st semester exams are not so tough. They do not focus on the skilled and practical knowledge of students. There is no scope for any average student there.
Other: Fest of University Institute of Technology is actually good. They have many festivals like Techniqual Festival, Utkarsh, and Gaddi Group.

UIT, worth to take admission!
Placements: The placement rate in college is very good. Every year, several companies approach the college to hire students. Last year, the average salary package was 7 LPA. Students can choose an internship according to their needs, and the college provides every required permission for an internship.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is quiet good. Students can easily access the library of the college and Wi-Fi, while the classrooms use high-tech teaching equipment for better understanding. While there's no hostel available for students, students have to depend on PG's or rented rooms around the college.
Faculty: Faculty members of the college are very well qualified, always looking towards helping the students in any way possible. The professor's teaching techniques make it easy for students to understand each and every topic. If students study hard, they can easily pass the semester exams.
Other: UIT and HPU are two of the best government institutes. It's a very good college to join if you want to enhance your skills and are interested in engineering studies.

Normally, it is a cut above 80 marks to join the Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) for students in the JEE Main exam. But there might be variations due to other reasons, such as the number of candidates, in addition to their overall performance, so it changes every year. Cut off marks are determined

Better to go for UIIT Shimla in comparison to JNGEC Sundernagar. But, I don't know whether B.Tech civil is there or not. Better to try for CSE in UIIT. Secondly may be for civil, you can try JNGEC. Placement of UIIT is not that good. Average is near about INR. 2-3 Lacs per annum.

Hi Hartej,
In my opinion, Sharda University would be a good option. I say this because firstly Sharda University is a popular college and surely to maintain it's image, it would try to provide you with good internships and jobs, moreover it would provide you a good environment and sufficiently good
