     V. M. Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education offers admission to BSc programmes based on NCHMCT JEE or UGAT scores. The selection for MSc programme is based on merit of the aspirants in the qualifying exam. Selected candidates need to further pass a personal interview round for admission. Candidates must be eligible through merit and entrance to secure a seat at V. M. Salgaocar Institute of International Hospitality Education. For several UG level programmes, candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 50% to 55% in Class 12, while for PG level programmes, candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 40% to 55% in graduation. Apart from that, candidates must secure a valid score or percentile in the respective entrance exam prescribed by the Institute. For a successful candidature registration, candidates must fill out the application form. Post application submission, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of entrance results and the final seat allotment is conducted as soon as they pay the fees.

    Absolutely satisfied with my decision to join VMSIIHE.
    Placements: We received multiple opportunities when it came to internships and as well as job placements. Internship we were placed in several properties in Portugal and India. Job placements included hotel brands from India Portugal UAE and many more.
    Infrastructure: The infrastructure is top notch. There are spacious classrooms an IT lab, Library with all the necessary study material along with other books for readers. The kitchen and Restaurant for practical classes gave us the real world experience. Wi-fi is available throughout the campus. The quality of meals provided is excellent with a proper balanced diet and good quality raw materials. We had sports once a week along with an annual sports day which included table tennis football basketball and swimming etc.
    Faculty: All teachers are very knowledgeable and help us with any queries that we have. The teaching material used by every teacher made the class more interactive and made it easier for us to grasp the information provided. All that I learnt and the institute has instilled in me makes me stand out among other candidates.

    Placements: At VMSIIHE, all students are required to do a compulsory 6-month internship in India or abroad. Most students get placed in top hotels around the world for this internship. In the final year, hotel brands like Taj, Hilton, and Marriott visit the campus for on-campus recruitment for openings such as management training programs, supervisor training, and entry-level positions.
    Infrastructure: VMSIIHE has a huge campus with excellent up-to-date facilities. A lot of effort goes into maintaining the campus. The campus has well-equipped classrooms, sports and fitness facilities, a library, a computer lab, and a sick room. But the feature that stands out the most is the state-of-the-art demo hotel with a restaurant, guest rooms, an industrial kitchen, and a hotel exception, which is used for practical classes that help prepare students for the hospitality industry.
    Faculty: The education at VMSIIHE is top-notch without a doubt. The curriculum is appropriately challenging with courses ranging from hospitality operations subjects to business management and personal development subjects. The assessments are well-planned and structured. The teachers at VMSIIHE are very well-qualified and approachable.
    Other: VMSIIHE is not like any other generic college. Genuine care and personalized support are given to each student who joins this college. The 3 years I spent at VMSIIHE transformed me into a disciplined individual ready to face the challenges of the hospitality industry.

    Infrastructure was really good. Various courses were introduced to increase our skills.
    Placements: Around 60% found a place in the form of management programmes. The top recruiting companies were Oberoi, Taj, and several others, including the international ones with Marriott, etc. The main four departments that our course trained us in were beverage service, food production, front office, housekeeping, etc.
    Infrastructure: The course provided us with almost all the equipment and facilities required to run a professional restaurant. The in-built restaurant 'Creams' had practicals for students where the guests, chefs, and servers were all the students themselves. It was a very important part, as the students would get to practically run the restaurant by themselves every week under proper guidance from the teachers.
    Faculty: The teachers and staff were well qualified, having been in the industry before. Guest lectures were held so students could get first-hand knowledge from someone in the industry. Various types of workshops were held so students could increase their skill sets.
    Other: I chose this course because it had what I was looking for to get ahead in my career. The various events, fests, and pop-ups that were organised by us students prepared us for the industry.

    The college has well-equipped modern tools and facilities.
    Placements: Our college has tied up with several properties, both national and international. During the second year, you get the opportunity to have your internship abroad or in India. The course teaches you the ways of a hotelier and how to think like a manager of a company.
    Infrastructure: The infrastructure is truly unlike any other. From a 5-star training kitchen to a library that has ample books on food, management skills, etc., the college has really seen to it all to make the experience an amazing one. Cafeteria food is very healthy.
    Faculty: If you're looking to master the management aspect of hospitality, then this course is perfect for you. If you're more into producing dishes, then a culinary course is good. The teaching staff is knowledgeable about their subject matter and more.
    Other: Although the college is very particular about time, behaviour, attendance, etc., it gets a little easier from the second year on, and these tough rules actually stay with you even once you leave. The events that you host teach you not only how to manage and plan them but also how to forecast and predict every possible scenario that could arise. It also helps us discover how to be alert and quick on our feet and how to speak in difficult situations.

    VMSIIHE State of the Art Institute
    Placements: Hilton, Marriott, Taj, and many more offer HMT training. The initial package in the hospitality industry isn't great, but the highest package was INR 30k per month for HMT. All the students had the opportunity to go on an international internship. Portugal is the most preferred place to intern.
    Infrastructure: The campus is one of the most clean and well-maintained in Goa. All of the modern amenities were designed with sustainability in mind. Hostels have AC. All the classes have AC and it is a very hardcore, discipline-oriented institute. Multiple events are happening around the year.
    Faculty: The best teachers, very highly educated teachers, and a solid curriculum will not just help in the hospitality industry but also other parts of your life. Exams are strictly conducted, as are assignments, projects, etc. are taken from time to time with hardly any delay .

    It is the best institute, with international standards and facilities.
    Placements: As the third year started, companies started recruiting students from our college. The top hotels like Oberois, Taj, Accor, and Marriott came to our institute. The top roles offered to us are HOT and MT programs by the hotels. Internships started after we completed the first year. Internships are compulsory. We have all been sent to Portugal and Dubai to experience the work culture of our industry.
    Infrastructure: The facilities provided by our institute are excellent and of international standard. It has 24X7 Wi-Fi, a library, an updated smart computer lab, a swimming pool, a gym, a football field, and a volleyball court. It has smart classes with projectors, green boards, and white boards. It has a medical room for sick people who are not feeling well. They should rest in that room. If the college is larger, it also has hospital facilities. Inside the campus, we have a neat and clean hostel. One big room is divided into 3 parts. We have our privacy there. We learn about leadership and how to maintain good relationships with everyone. The meal provided in the hostel and college is fresh, healthy, and nutritious. Every day, we have a different menu that includes food items from all the states.
    Faculty: All teachers are well qualified and professional in their fields. The concept of studying is different here. They do not only teach. You should understand the logic and concepts behind all the theories and classes. After every class, they conduct revision sessions for students. Two exams and end-semester exams are conducted. The semester exams are tough because you have practical as well as theoretical tests. The pass percentage is 100% in every term. They teach you all 4 core departments, i.e., front office, food and production, food and beverages, and housekeeping. They teach in theoretical and practical ways.
