I would recommend VIT as it has very good infrastructure, labs, faculty, and placements.
Placements: My college has placements above 85 percent. Top recruiting companies from the college are Microsoft, Google, PayPal, Infosys, Accenture, TCS, and many more. Placements in VIT are quite good. The highest package is around 44 LPA. The average package is around 7 LPA. More than 70 percent of students got internships with stipends ranging around Rs. 25,000- Rs. 30,000.
Infrastructure: VIT does not have a hostel of its own you need to take a private hostel or PG and talking about college infrastructure, it's quite good. The college has the latest PC lab and all the computers present here are the latest i7. All the required instruments are present in the college and are easily available for students and the faculty is also helpful.
Faculty: Faculty members of our course are really good. They help us through various competitions. They help in academic as well as personal development. They are highly qualified and their teaching is also very good. There are separate lab sessions for practical learning and assignments.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in it and according to my score in CET, I got into this college and it is also one of the top colleges in Pune.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty and good placements in 2025.
Placements: More than 40% of students get placed through the campus placement drive. The highest package offered is around 40 LPA. Companies like General Mills actively hire developers and interns.
Infrastructure: The college has good classrooms and a library with good Wi-Fi. The college regularly maintains and tries to improve its hostel facilities, canteen, and other services.
Faculty: Teachers are very good at teaching and research activities. They also have good industry experience and knowledge of new technologies. The course curriculum is relevant. Teachers are also very helpful in research and other learning activities.
Other: This course is more related to product-based companies. The college also actively conducts events and fests. The campus crowd, connectivity, campus surroundings, scholarship opportunities, and extracurricular activities are good.

If you dream of PICT or COEP but could not make it, VIT is not a bad option.
Placements: Top companies visit our college. Skilled and eligible students get placed as per their capabilities. Top companies for every field, whether core or tech, provide equal opportunities. It is one of the highest package placements in Pune after COEP and PICT-like colleges.
Infrastructure: I am an Instrumentation and Control Engineering student and a Pune local. Our college does not have its own hostel. But there are many flats, PGs, and hostels available in nearby areas, so it is not a major issue. It is quite manageable, and students adjust smoothly.
Faculty: As I am part of B.Tech in Instrumentation and Control Engineering, which is a circuit-based branch. Many faculty members are quite good and supportive. There is no heavy exam stress. Most of the syllabus is application-based rather than purely theoretical, as in other colleges in Maharashtra.

Best college for campus life.
Placements: 80% of students are placed with an average package of 9 LPA. Around 70% of students get internships in the 4th year, and 50% in the 3rd year. Most students also get internships in their 2nd year, which is quite amazing as no other college offers it in the 2nd year. The highest package is 40 LPA.
Infrastructure: Facilities are top-class. Lawns, grounds, and canteens are very well maintained. Availability of drinking water is good, and clean, filtered, cool water is available throughout the campus. The library is well-maintained. Every type of book is available. Sports equipment is also available.
Faculty: Faculty is very supportive, well-qualified, well-experienced, and polite as well. They help us in guiding our projects and teach us about patents. They also file patents for us if the project is capable of it. They are very knowledgeable persons with a minimum of 10+ years of experience.
Other: I wanted to pursue ENTC as I love it, and the staff of our department is very good. They support us in projects and other activities. We have four major events in a year, which is the main reason I joined the college. The campus life is very good. The thing that should be improved is the parking space. Other than that, everything is awesome.

Sharing the overall experience as a Mechanical engineering student at VIT PUNE, passing out in 2028.
Placements: The current percentage of placements in VIT Pune has dropped a lot due to the increased intake of students from the 2028 passing out batch. Companies for mechanical engineering are Bosch, Atlas Copco, Fluid Control, Walmart, Dassault Systèmes, and more. They offer well-paid internships and a few of them offer ppo through the college placement office. The internship process is well-maintained through the college website and is completely easy if you have good connections with the faculty members. 
Infrastructure: College has free Wi-Fi, a lift in each building, a library, CCTV installed in all classrooms, and projectors. The college does not provide an attached hostel. Nearby pgs, hostels, and flats are easily available, but you have to check early as they fill faster due to high demand. Living options are affordable and better, depending on private hostel choices. 
Faculty: The staff and faculty members are highly qualified and Ph.D. holders. The faculty of core branches is very experienced and completely supportive of students who really want to pursue a career in the core branch. The syllabus is project-oriented, making students ready for industrial training and placement. Exams were conducted online for our batch, but I think now they are following a fully written exam criterion. 
Other: I chose this course for the advantage it offers while searching for jobs, unlike other software branches. The staff and faculty members are highly qualified and Ph.D. holders. Student clubs, events, and annual fests are filled with great enthusiasm and full of excitement. College also provides other courses and certifications, along with guidance from faculty.

I am lucky that I study at VIT.
Placements: In our college, about 80 students were placed last year, which is about 45% from our department. The highest package was 45 LPA, and the lowest was 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Barclays, JP Morgan, etc. About 45% of students from our department got internships.
Infrastructure: Our college has pretty decent facilities. We have good labs with a good Wi-Fi connection, and we have good classrooms. However, the classrooms have very little space, and the library is good. Talking about the PG, it is not so good with exaggerated facilities.
Faculty: One of the best things about our college is our curriculum and the courses it provides. We have all the technical courses, including the trending courses that are booming in the technical world, like artificial intelligence and cloud computing. Exams are pretty difficult at VIT.

COEP vs VIT Pune for Civil Engineering: which one should I pick?

COEP is cheaper with tuition fees of INR 1.1 Lacs - INR 5.03 lakh, and has a stronger name and alumni network. VIT Pune has higher fees of INR 7 Lacs but a lower cutoff. If you can get COEP, most students take it. If not, VIT is a safe private choice.

Is COEP really better than VIT Pune for engineering overall?

Beyond academics, COEP is also seen as offering a richer campus and college life experience. VIT Pune is still considered a solid private option, especially for students who don't get into COEP. Ultimately, both are respected names in Pune's engineering circuit.
