A:

For the BTech programme at Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, an open category student pays around 2,11,665 rupees per year. This total includes a basic tuition fee of 1,79,130 rupees and a mandatory development fee of 26,870 rupees. The state fees regulatory authority fixes this amount annually.

Q:   Are there any extra charges alongside the main Vishwakarma Institute of Technology BTech fee structure?
A:

Alongside the main BTech fee structure, you should consider some separate academic costs. You will pay a university exam fee of around 2,420 rupees each year, plus basic student insurance. If you choose to stay in the campus hostels, accommodation and mess costs will run between 1.25 Lacs and 1.30 Lacs annually.

Q:   Is there any financial aid available for open category students joining the Vishwakarma Institute of Technology BTech course?
A:

For the BTech course at Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, open category students can access financial aid through the EBC scholarship scheme. You can apply online via the Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj scheme after securing your college seat during counselling.

Q:   What category-based fee discounts can I get while studying in the Vishwakarma Institute of Technology BTech program?
A:

In the BTech programme at Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, category-based fee discounts are accessible through the state's MahaDBT portal. SC and ST category students receive a complete 100% tuition and development fee waiver. OBC and VJNT students generally get a 50% waiver on their tuition costs. You must submit your valid caste and income certificates during the admission process to claim these benefits.

If you dream of PICT or COEP but could not make it, VIT is not a bad option.

Placements: Top companies visit our college. Skilled and eligible students get placed as per their capabilities. Top companies for every field, whether core or tech, provide equal opportunities. It is one of the highest package placements in Pune after COEP and PICT-like colleges.

Best college for campus life.

Placements: 80% of students are placed with an average package of 9 LPA. Around 70% of students get internships in the 4th year, and 50% in the 3rd year. Most students also get internships in their 2nd year, which is quite amazing as no other college offers it in the 2nd year. The highest package is 40 LPA.

Sharing the overall experience as a Mechanical engineering student at VIT PUNE, passing out in 2028.

Placements: The current percentage of placements in VIT Pune has dropped a lot due to the increased intake of students from the 2028 passing out batch. Companies for mechanical engineering are Bosch, Atlas Copco, Fluid Control, Walmart, Dassault Systèmes, and more. They offer well-paid internships and a few of them offer ppo through the college placement office. The internship process is well-maintained through the college website and is completely easy if you have good connections with the faculty members....

I am lucky that I study at VIT.

Placements: In our college, about 80 students were placed last year, which is about 45% from our department. The highest package was 45 LPA, and the lowest was 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Barclays, JP Morgan, etc. About 45% of students from our department got internships.

Satisfactory placement with helpful faculty, but the infrastructure needs a minor update.

Placements: Placement cell is quite active, and 80%-90% of students have secured placements. Last year, the highest package was up to 15 LPA, and the average was around 6-7 LPA. TCS, Infosys, and Accenture have hired some students. The best position in my course is Software Developer.

High competition because of high intake.

Placements: Approximately 73% of students get placed. The average package is around 7 LPA, the highest package is 50 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Microsoft, Infosys, Deloitte, and Wipro. Very few students get internships through campus placements. Top roles offered include Senior Developer and Marketing Head.
