Review of YSR Engineering college, YVU.

Placements: Our class size is 33. Our course students strength is less than in other branches. Every year, campus interviews are available. But our branch has fewer opportunities to recruit top companies. Try to get more opportunities for our branch. The highest package is INR 6 LPA, and the lowest is INR 2.5–3 LPA.

Infrastructure: Our college has good faculty members. Good discipline and quality of education. Lab equipment and labs are clean and neat. Classrooms are good and have recently innovated. We have a huge library and the availability of all branches books. We have another thing: an internet connection (wi-fi) to downloading documents, watching for study purposes, etc. And our college has good infrastructure.

Faculty: Teachers and faculty members are very friendly. There are highly educated staff and knowledgeable people. The explanation is very good. It can be easily understood by us. Semester exams in our college were strictly conducted. And the pass percentage is 40% for every subject.

Other: I want to become a metallurgical engineering student. I want to do jobs in the metallurgical field. Improve our course-related subjects in our college. Events and festivals conducted are very good. The campus surroundings were peaceful. We have a large area to play games on. Games and sports are also conducted at our college. In the coming days, our college will become a top college in production and Kadapa. The buildings are under construction now.

Review of Y.S.R Engineering College, Yogi Vemana University.

Placements: There are no placements. Approximately 8 lateral entry students got jobs in SAIL and RINL with diploma qualification. The salary package offered for such candidates is 3.6 LPA after the completion of probation period of 2 years. Regular students might go for higher studies and core related jobs. Based on students' interest, around 5-12 students get their internship opportunity in RINL Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. Very few students go for IITs SRFP.

Infrastructure: In the department of metallurgy and material technology laboratory, we have ball mill, jaw crushers, electron microscopes, sand sievers and many others to carry out lab experiments and project work. We are provided with around 200 books and 100 reference books in the library to improve the knowledge. Our classrooms are large, tidy and equipped with projectors for conducting seminars at the departmental level. We have 4 classrooms in total with a seating capacity of around 100 students in each. Students are provided with the hostel in their first year only. Food in the mess is very healthy. Students play cricket, volleyball, football, badminton and kabaddi.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Teachers are M.Tech graduates specialised in industrial metallurgy and nanotechnology from reputed colleges like IITs, NITs, Andhra University, JNTUA and JNTUH. Some of the former teachers are doing PhD in IGCAR and IISc. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready.

It is a good college for studies and sports.

Placements: Our college provides better placements among all the colleges. For our branch, there are no placements since 2008. But for other branches, placements are good. It provides a very good atmosphere to attract companies. There are highly experienced faculty who teach us how to crack the interview.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good and extreme. Wi-Fi facility is available in all blocks. The college provides hostel facility for girls is with better food and security. The college does not provide hostel facility for boys.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college were too good at teaching. They provide all type of materials for better understanding. They mingle with students very well so we can share information very easily. I think the course curriculum is 60% relevant to the industry. So we are ready to face industry after graduation only. They used to teach us how to lead our life and studies as well.

Other: I have chosen this course because it is my father's dream to became metallurgist, but due to some reasons, he can't study, so I took that. In February, it organises a fest called college day. Excellent games and cultural activities are also conducted.
